A series of mechanical sounds seemed to emit from a girl with long red hair, black overalls, a plaid necktie, and, most notably, a pair of brass-colored goggles with several different lenses and other attachments, among other things. While the sounds could be mistaken as coming from the girl herself or from her eyewear, one would probably notice the mechanical puzzle cube currently being rotated in her hands, with gears clicking within as the pieces were moved, and realize their mistake. She didn't seem to make any effort to change the possible impression one might get, her hands moving about as if she were an automaton, her expression lacking any sort of emotion. The world at the moment seemed to just be her and the puzzle cube.
DING!
The cube had let out a dinging noise after another movement of its pieces. She looked up from it, apparently finished with it at this point. A small smile appeared on her face as she studied the others in the room with her. "Ah, I am sorry. Good morning. I am Irene Karlsen, Ultimate Toymaker. It is nice meeting you all." She spoke with a slight accent to her voice, and sounded slightly monotone, which didn't much help with the automaton-like mannerisms. While she was no longer trying to solve the puzzle cube from what one could tell, she turned it about in her hands, studying it. Not a very talkative girl.

The sound of light footsteps echoed across the ground. Predictable by the sound, a pair of deep blue eyes soon peered beyond Orica's large frame, panning around the room swiftly in almost somewhat of a tactical manner. After awhile, the pair of blue eyes disappeared, instead replaced by a girl attempting to slide passed. This girl had long, dark gray hair that reached to her thighs and swept over her face in an incredibly neat manner, and she wore a dark gray, plaid coat. A turtleneck sweater seemed to peek out from the top of the coat, and really, she was completely covered from head to toe. She nearly tripped on her shoe laces before managing to make her way inside, assuming Orica was leaving an opening of sorts.
As she stepped into the room, she paused to allow her gaze to very slowly pan across the room. After awhile, she looked back down with a small nod, tapping a pencil to the front of her notebook. These actions were followed by a polite cough into her shoulder as she shut her eyes tightly, before seeming to have made up her mind on something. With a light, almost awkward smile, her gaze whirled around the room once more until it finally landed straight ahead of her. Still tapping her pencil to the front of her notebook, she uttered three rather simple words.
"Hi. Hi friends."
Otherwise, she uttered not a word as she peered curiously at those in the room. After awhile, she gradually stopped tapping her pen to her notebook and swiftly opened a lock sealing the notebook. She then began writing, her focus zeroing in completely on her notebook.

► Yuichiro Yuuki 268 Big dick is back in town || AKA I'm sorry he's so full of himself | Crossing his arms, he tapped his shoulder with his index finger in a familiar rhythm. What a jaded old guy, he thought to himself, an annoyed look set on his face. Some of the people he just brushed aside may become the first Ultimates in over twenty years, and he just brushed them aside, business as usual. It was probably a superiority in seniority thing; they were kids, so why pay them much mind. Even Yuichi saw it a lot.
Oh well. He just sat back and watched as everyone made their introductions. This cast sure was full of colorful people. Okay, he knew he wasn't really special in this type of place, but his ego was just too bloated. Don't get cocky? Uhuh, well he was still sure he'd at least get in! He was famous for a reason, ya know.
With a cocky smirk, he approached the group and gave a swanky, theatrical bow. "Helloooo~! Maybe it's a lil' unnecessary, but for those of you who've been living under a rock for the past few years, I'm Yuichiro Yuuki! Just call me Yuichi, though. I hope we..." He winked at gray haired girl who had just introduced herself. She was just.. cute, he couldn't help it! "All get along, regardless of competition! Don't be starstruck, I'm human!" Really? Cause he acted like he thought he was more. No, he knew that he was just like the rest of them deep down, but how could he help showing off? He was the lead singer of one of the most popular music groups in the last decade, afterall!

Tap tap. After about a minute of writing, her pencil would begin tapping against the notebook in almost somewhat of rhythmic fashion. Her gaze swivelled around the room in a curious fashion once more as she examined her fellow contenders. For a moment, the tapping paused as she peered curiously at the boy whom had just walked in, noting him as a slightly familiar face. She quickly pieced the puzzle together in that he was the lead vocalist of a popular band in Japan... not that she listened to bands nor radio music much, but she recognized this face from the times that she had. She tentatively raised her hand and began rubbing the fur lining the back of her hood, gaze shifting by Touma, Orica and then Yuichi. Her pencil began to frantically move once more, and without even looking down at the page, she began to read aloud lines of text.
"Mysterious guy with lots of cloth and robes... weird tall girl with lots of armour... slightly familiar blonde-haired guy that I've seen singing before... Oh, hello, my name is-- wait, I'm supposed to be saying that aloud... Wait, I am saying that aloud... wait, the blonde guy just winked at me. What does this mean-- oh. I'm saying everything aloud..."
Her gaze panned across the room once more as she fiddled with the fur lining her coat's hood once more, giving a nod to the others as she really had no idea what else to do. After awhile she gave a sheepish smile once more, deciding to finally introduce herself to the others.
"Hi... guys."
She was about to speak but then seemed to shy out of it, jotting down a few things in her journal before her gaze shifted back up once more. "It's nice to meet you. My name is... Professor White. Well, that's my alias. My real name is a secret, but since you'll all probably find out eventually, it's Shiro Shizuku. I'm the aspiring Ultimate Internet Sleuth, and... well, no offence. Really, try not to take offence. But, I think I have a pretty decent shot of getting casted, if I do say so myself... I think."

Nero slowly walked into the room, looking at all the contestants with surprise. There were certainly more than enough contestants here to fill his family's small bakery, but that wouldn't intimidate him. After all, even if they're in a competition, there's no point in making enemies. Today was a day for making friends, and hopefully his talent would help. Thankfully, he remembered to bring a small basket, filled with cookies and brownies. As he put them on a table, he smiled as he smelt the aroma of them, before turning back around.
"Greetings everyone, my name is Nero Fiammes, Ultimate Baker. If you need some bread or some cake, you know who to go to. I hope that we can get along, even if this is a competition!"
With a small smile, he simply walked away from the table. As he saw the more... interesting talents, he noted that it wouldn't be easy. But to run a bakery in Little Venice, it required a lot of perseverance and determination, and he certainly wasn't lacking in either. And this show would prove it to the world.
"Would anyone like a cookie?'

"Mmm... Something smells nice...", Dorothy thought as she opened her eyes. Although she heard a variety of voices, she had her eyes closed to take in the atmosphere. She realized that a whole lot of people have assembled here now, waiting for the results on who will make it onto the show.
The Polyglot followed the smell to a table that was quite a distance away from her. Nevertheless, she reached a basket full of delicious looking sweets. She looked from side to side mischieviously and took a cookie out of it. Hopefully no one saw her (Not like it exactly mattered to her, she was gonna tell the person responsible for the baked goods anyway.).
"Hehe, mom's gonna be soooo jealous of those. I know you're watching me, mom!"
She delightfully munched on the cookie, and once she was finished, she approached the person who introduced themselves as the Ultimate Baker.
"Hello, good sir. I overheard that you're striving to be the Ultimate Baker? If so, I'm rooting for you to get onto the show! I took a cookie from a basket over there, and it was delicious!"
She made a small bow before the Baker. "I'm Dorothy Saotome, and I aspire to become the Ultimate Polyglot. It's very nice to meet you!"

Apollo smiled and chuckled at Excrest's introduction and subsequent question, and also nodded politely to Sthenos' introduction as well. They both seemed like very lovely and interesting ladies. A hacktivist and a snake charmer. Now here were two people that one definitely did not see every day.
"Well, yes, actually. I have talked a bit about quite a lot of said scandals in passing from time to time. I never have enough time in the show to talk at length about those scandals, sadly. But they're quite fascinating, nonetheless!" He said, then smiled. "And well, I've always wanted to reach out to as large an audience as possible. I've wanted people to be enchanted by my voice and be engaged in all the things I have to say. That's why I signed up for this show. Not to mention, I feel like I've accomplished so much over the course of my career that I see not much reason why I shouldn't have an Ultimate title."
He smiled, then looked at Excrest. "What about you, Miss Excrest? Why have you signed up for this show?" He asked. "Why do you call yourself an Ultimate?"

| Life doesn't discriminate Between the sinners and the saints It takes and it takes and it takes And we keep living anyway We rise and we fall and we break And we make our mistakes And if there's a reason I'm still alive
|
[attr="class","box2"]With hair silk and black, and a posture as straight as a soldier’s back, Caelie waltzed in backstage. Her lips were curved into a smile - a polite look, as to be expected from someone making first impressions – as she stood by the metal door, taking a cursory glance across the room. It looked like she wasn’t the first one here, and going by the number of those present, neither was she the last. Perfect. What’s more, the good news hadn’t stopped right there! Much to Caelie’s delight, her initial thoughts about these shortlisted compatriots were ones that brought with them an… exciting spark, a rejuvenating soothe. Even if there were some slightly more questionable sights, a lack of disappointment was a great thing indeed. After all, these four walls? They held potential students that everyone outside will basically be forced to look up to, and to be a part of this phoenix rising from ash? Satisfaction beyond words.
Making her way to where she spotted magazines laying on a table, Caelie picked one of them up. Its cover had a professional photo of one particular blond in the room, a singer with a microphone in his hands, and that was who she currently approached. It helped that his energetic introduction could be heard from before she had even stepped in, but her attention was also drawn to him for… other reasons. Either ways, she’ll acquaint herself with everybody eventually, especially with the others that caught her interest, so why not start with this one first?
“Yuichiro Yuuki. I’m a big fan,” said Caelie, both in a soft tone and with a gentle smile. Standing a little to his side, she held both arms behind her back and gave him a short bow. “I never thought I'd have a chance of meeting you in person,” she continued with hands still in place, a peek of the magazine's cover probably visible from where Yuichiro stood.

Nox was excited. Being called in, possibly being able to be chosen as a cast member, it was so close to her dream. She breathed in, shaking her head and patting her cheeks, forcing herself to look determined and confident.
"Cmon, Nox. You can do this. I believe in you..." She mumbled to herself, before walking to the Backstage Area, looking at all the interesting people around. She couldn't stop herself from looking at everyone's outfit, reviewing them silently. She took a deep breath, before waving at everyone.
"Hello, friends! I'm Nox Tenebris, aspiring to be the Ultimate Internet Personality! It's so nice to meet you all!" She shouted enthusiastically, grinning.

374 words notes: ren first post yay! A PERFECTLY CONSTRUCTED ALIBI Ren was just running around knocking on the walls with a smile on his face. This was so cool. He was really here at So You Want to be an Ultimate! Oh he hoped he got picked, he worked a lot to do the best he could and if he won he could do even more good and help more people. The walls were a real concrete and the magazines were really cool. All of these people, wow… he wasn’t sure if he was up to snuff looking around, they all looked amazing. And here he was, a measly doctor thinking he belonged with them! Oh well, it wasn’t his choice. If he was good enough, he was good enough and somehow others thought he was just as good.
Eventually he settled on the floral couch looking around excitedly. People were already becoming friends and meeting others, while others were standing off to the side. This was so surreal! He never thought he would get to see this, all these really cool people standing around talking… it reminded him of when he was little. All of the other kids that were with him in Berlin. They’d run around and play and – oh this would be cool. It would be just like in the day. Without the guns firing all-around of course. Then again, they would have to compete against each other… Ren wasn’t going to go easy on them, but he wanted them to win too. He rather help people than be mean to others.
Ren eventually stood up and looked around before standing on the table with the magazines on it and he started to speak loudly, though not yelling, just enough so people could hear him. “Hi everyone! I’m Ren Umeki! I’m a doctor! If you need any help I’ll help you!” Ren specifically looked over to the weird guy, the Shiranuri, with smile then looked around at the rest of everyone that was in the room before he jumped off the table and walked up towards the knight, Orica and talked to her and Dorothy at the sofa nearby. “So, what do you think our chances are, huh? Wanna form an alliance? We could be like… the Three Musketeers or something.”

Nox beamed at Ren's entrance, waving at him excitingly. She then opened her phone, Periscoping her followers as she talked to her chat about the situation occurring. She was almost bouncing off the walls in happiness, praying and hoping she made the cut. As she streamed she also opened her texting app, texting her friend about where she was. She then looked to the doctor again, seeing him ask for an alliance. 'I should do that too...' she thought to herself, looking around to see if she noticed anyone that stood out to her.

With quiet steps, Kaizo hesitantly stepped away from the door as he glaced around, eyeing the various individuals present. Immediately, a sense of inferiority came over him as he looked at the colorful cast, speaking to each other in the eerily plain room. Gulping as he stepped inside awkwardly, he observed the area and it's contents, duely sighing afterwards. He felt intimidated inside a room with young people of various and unique talents, some probably far better than his. Though they all seemed friendly, he couldn't exactly bring himself to raise his voice above the others. He looked down and tried to avoid any gazes that might come his way, mentally cursing his own anxiety as stood around.

► Yuichiro Yuuki 238 Failed perception check | Slightly familiar? Ouch. If this cutie really was a sort of internet cyber sleuth, he'd figure she'd be familiar with him. But, then again, everyone here was a big deal in their own ways; he knew that much. Toymakers, polyglots, and talk show hosts, oh my! And-- His nose twitched. The aroma of freshly baked goods! The fragrance came packaged with Nero's introduction, as the aspiring Ultimate Baker. Come to think of it, he might've had this guys treats before if he's a big deal in his district.
Damn! It was painful, imagining there could even be peanut butter cookies in that basket! If he had less dignity, he'd be salivating in lust. Sadly, he had to be on his toes; couldn't be eating cookies if he might need his voice soon... On the other hand, though, nothing wrong with introducing himself... And he could always drink some water.
Just as the temptations of baked goods nearly overtook him, the presence of another broke him out of the trance. A beautiful, yet oddly creepy looking girl who seemed to recognize him. Well, of course she recognized him! "Oh! A fan, huh?" With not a sliver of suspicion that this girl barely discovered his existence, he flashed a pearly white grin and rested his palms on the back of his head. "Well, it's my pleasure! I'm always delighted to meet people, fan or not! And who are you, doll~?"

374 words notes: interaction~ A PERFECTLY CONSTRUCTED ALIBI Ren’s eyes fell on the new guy who came into the backstage and he quickly looked at the two girl he was trying to align with, but he thought four people would be better than three. Plus the Four Horsepeople sounded so much cooler than the Three Musketeers. Plus, the new guy… something seemed a little familiar about him. Maybe they were from the same district? New Berlin was big, but Ren got to see a lot of the different people there because of the stuff that happened. Oh no… what if he knew… no, it was okay. Even if that guy knew, it didn’t matter, he’d just be better right? He was a doctor, and that meant he was gonna help people!
“Oh hey, give me a second, I’m gonna get another for the alliance. It’ll be like the apocalypse. I called Horseman of Hugs and Healing!” Ren skipped off and walked up to the new guy, holding his hand out. “My name is Ren Umeki! Would you want to join my alliance? I got those two pretty girls over there… uh probably. So… yeah! We need teams and alliances to win and stuff, plus you seem really cool and strong. I think there are gonna be competitions and I can do all the other stuff and you and Orica there can do some of the physical ones and we got this, right?”
Ren wasn’t sure if he was being annoying but he liked talking and he just said that which was on his mind. The guy already seemed really cool and he looked strong and stuff. He could always offer his services as a doctor but he wasn’t sure if there was anything wrong with him physically at the moment, usually diagnoses take a little bit of time to happen, but he was looking him over looking to make sure the guy was healthy not because he would exclude him from the alliance if he found out he wasn’t, but because he would want to help if he was sick.

Kaizo looks up from fumbling with his figures once he sees the presence looming in front of him, blinking as the individual started to introduce himself. Hands behind his back, he blushed slightly at the compliments, averting his gaze towards the floor. Hesitantly, he brought his hand up to grasp Ren's hand. In an awkward motion, he shook his hand and nodded slightly.
"U-Um...Hello Ren...I-If if benefits you...I'd gladly do so..." He said in a barely audible voice, looking up slightly to meet his eyes.
He was a bit stiff, clearing his throat a bit. He glanced at Ren up and down, making a few observations about his features before once again averting his gaze. Ren seemed friendly to him, feeling a bit reassured among the tense feeling tugging at him. Though he couldn't guarantee entering, he felt a bit relieved that he has been aquainted with someone before the show has started.
