► Yuichiro Yuuki N/a
339 sleep drunk post | Yuichiro had spent quite some time during the morning staring into a mirror, styling his hair and making sure he didn't look too shabby. They may have reached hell before dying, but that didn't mean he could just start living non-hygienically. It was also a slice of normalcy that helped him cope with their circumstances after all. Things were peaceful for a short time.. before he heard that voice again.
At that moment, finally wide awake, he sprinted out of his room. It didn't take long to hear the commotion, where the body likely had fallen. You could hear it from across the manor, for Christ's sake. It probably wasn't over Nero dropping a tray of brownies or something! It didn't take long for him to reach the scene of... Scene of...
The murder scene left him perplexed. The victim was... Some chick from before the name's were announced. He had heard Nero from down the hall, but didn't expect him to be talking to Koneko when she was.. Like this. And jeez Kris, you look like shit.
"What the hell?" He stepped back, feeling like his brain was overloading. Figuratively; important distinction. "Why the hell is she here? She should be outside!" It was so mysterious. He wondered for a moment if the girl was somehow involved in their circumstances. Like, the twenty-first student that was hidden somewhere in this manor?
Damn it. It didn't make any sense! Prying his eyes from the body, he looked over at Nero and Koneko. Focus on the living first. "Hey, whoa, is shouting gonna help?" He approached the two cautiously, not wanting to encroach on their space. He watched and waited for a few minutes, before kneeling down and taking a closer look at the girl. "Could we just let her rest for a few minutes? I know we're probably on a timer now, but maybe she just needs to.. Uh, digest things?" He didn't want to say 'process.' A part of him felt like it might be a little insensitive. | |

After taking a shower Brunhild decided to go to the dining room to have a breakfast, and while on her way she heard it, the body announcement. She couldn't believe her ears, somebody already died, a wave of cold went down through her bones. Few shouts and screams came from the nearby hallway, understanding that she must hurry Brunhild rushed to the sounds of the screams. Upon entering the hallway she noticed Mayumi and Yuichiro were standing near the something that she couldn't see from her position. Gathering all her courage Brunhild started walking towards them, expecting the worst. She did not talk because she already understood what was laying on the ground.
And after a few steps, Brunhild finally saw it, a female body was laying there. A wave of mixed emotions came over her, she briefly stopped for a moment and thought to herself "Wait for a second. She is not a student" Brunhild slowly walked towards the body to confirm her theory. And yes the body of the dead person truly did not belong to any of her fellow students, but instead was a body of a rejected Ultimate Hacktivist "Excrest".
Brunhild turned her head to the left after hearing a lot of noise coming from Kris's room and noticed a gathering of people inside Krzysztof's room. "A double murder?" went through Brunhild's head. Wanting to go into the room, she for some reason turned right, realizing that she went into the wrong direction, she hit her head and mumbled: "It's not the time you let me down...". And some few seconds she entered the room, to her relief Kris was alive, but in a bad state. Noticing that many people are already looking after him, Brunhild left the room. Brunhild did not know what to do and then she noticed Shiro standing in the hallway seemingly counting everyone who was there. "Ah yes, she is a detective, I am pretty sure she knows how to handle this kind of situations.". Brunhild came closer to her and asked with a forced smile on her face trying to cheer up "Hi...Ummm...Do you have some sort of plan?"

The worst part about her breaking like she had was not she had completely blown it. Sure, she'd already admitted her secret to some, but... She wasn't ready for everyone to know, for everyone to see her as just a machine. She wasn't ready to give up this amazing feeling of being human. Fitting in amongst humans was a feeling one could consider intoxicating, for it was the feeling of being able to observe and appreciate humans not as an outsider looking in, but as one of the crowd, that Koneko had craved her entire life. But now, it's all over. She'd gotten caught before, one of the times she was sent to go to a human school, and now here she was again. The N-3KO model was never meant to pass as a human, simply to look enough like one to help relax a nervous patient with a living presence. Her carefully crafted stories and an outfit meant to cover everything about her mechanical was rendered worthless. Koneko was simply bad at pretending to be anything than what she was; a machine. Eventually, her processors slowed down, and she was able to catch up with the moment. Someone was dead--that was a fact. There would be a class trial--another fact. Who was dead? She looked unfamiliar, but her memory banks did have a similar face within them, but... That shouldn't be possible. If her object recognition was right, then... Someone who hadn't even gotten into the show was now dead. She took a ragged breath. Truthfully, she had no need to breathe, but she found that the feeling of the cold air rushing over her processors, especially when they were in overuse, was relaxing. Her eyes came back online slowly, and she was able to re-assess the scene. "I-I am... I'm alright now, sorry," her voice still crackled oddly, but it sounded much more natural, "I know her, she is a hacktvist known only as Excrest, though I'm sure she has a name other than that." Shaking like a newborn deer, she pulled herself back to her feet. "She was one of the rejected applicants for the show, which means she shouldn't b-be here." She took one step towards the body, and... She stopped. Quickly, her processors began to whirr loudly once more, as a new, more stressing thought came to mind. She took a few more breaths to calm herself, hoping to cool her core before it overheated again, but a cold pool of misery still settled within her chest. "This is... This is all my fault!" Koneko cried, before crumpling to her knees once again. tag(s): @someone ━ words: 000 ━ remember that you are loved

Orica had been up before the wake up announcement. 8AM was too late in the day to start exercising, even more so since she was expected to interact with other people. Despite the fact that Despair was indeed still alive she wasn't going to let it effect her schedule or mental state. Some may call it a high composure while others may see it as an almost dogmatic certainty in her own ideal. Whatever the source, she didn't even flinch as the announcement was followed by a scream and then another message from Monokuma. That someone had been found dead. It too was inevitable. The best and brightest of the old world's Hope's Peak had resorted to murder under these pressures before.
Taking her time she got cleaned up and donned her armor, stepping out of her room to see who had died. The group wasn't clustered too far away from her, so she walked over there to look at the body. It was one of the ones that hadn't even been accepted. That was an... interesting thing to note but ultimately didn't matter at the moment. Neither did the Despair that the others around her were experiencing.
Without saying anything she leaned down to look at the body, no hint of hesitation or sickness in her eyes. As much as people seemed to think that her Strength was some flawed belief, she seemed to be composed and ready to Investigate.

Apollo had been spending the better part of this morning tending to his basic appearance. He made sure that all of his clothes were straightened out perfectly before putting them on, then started brushing his hair, making sure every single strand was perfectly aligned. Mutual killing game or not, Apollo was still on camera, even if it didn't seem to be the case. You never knew who was watching, anyway. So, he still had to keep up an appearances.
However, before he could make sure that his hair was taken care of, he found himself covering his ears after hearing an extremely grating noise from his earpiece. What in the name of all that was holy was that?! Of course, he then heard the announcement that he had hoped he would never hear in his entire life. A body discovery announcement.
"Oh no...." Apollo said as he shook his head before quickly running out of his room, and towards the scene of the crime. When he finally saw the body, he was in even more disbelief than he thought he would be. It wasn't that one of his fellow contestants was dead, but one of the hopefuls that didn't get in was taken from the world instead. Excrest. The girl he had met before the show started. She seemed like a very interesting person, who seemed to be a bit attracted to Apollo as well.
And now, she was gone.
"No....no...." Apollo said, shaking his head while he covered his face, tears forming in his eyes. "Why? Why, this? Why her? Just...why?"

Sleep was nice. I think we all know that by now and Nana was sleeping happily away while the rest of her fellow ultimates were up and at'em. She almost never got to sleep in with her schedule set the way it was and she was all set to do that here today when the next thing she knows is a sharp blaring in her ear. Was there no end to how rude a person can be? People are trying to sleep, Monokuma.
The words didn't even register in her brain as to what the announcement had been and Nana reburies her head in her pillow with every intention of simply ignoring it and going back to sleep. Nobody wants to deal with whatever the bear had to say did they really? With an annoyed grunt, however, Nana finally sat up. As long as she was awake she may as well see what the big deal is. The blonde violinist makes sure to sling her violin case over her shoulder as she exits her room and she can hear a bit of a situation going on over on the other side of the hall. Slowly making her way there, Nana stifles a yawn as she approaches the strangers in the hall and sounds downright cheery as she approaches those who had already gathered.
"Good morning, friends." Because despite how rudely one had been woken up, there was no reason you couldn’t greet someone politely. Rubbing the sleep out of one eye, Nana looks around lazily and slowly it starts to click that something here didn’t seem right. A lot of people just meeting here in the hallways was odd. People seemed upset for some reason and it was finally at this moment that Nana notices the dead body of…someone. If Nana had interacted with anyone backstage she would have maybe seen it was Excrest who had been rejected from the cast. Instead, she stands there silent for a moment and then points down at the body, a puzzled expression on her face.
"...What'd I miss? What's uh…What’s all this?”

[attr="class","box2"] Regardless of what each new day held in stow, Caelie tried to keep to much of a same pattern when it came to waking up – to do so before the vast majority of everybody else. That brief, precious period with rising sun against closed curtains, it felt… special, in its own sort of way. Almost as if it brought a message along with, a comforting, an empowering “You get the first shot at today.”
Despite the various places and abodes that Caelie had experienced throughout her nineteen years, this was a habit that she forced herself to stay true to. The day she gave in to slothful sins was a day that she didn’t want to live through, and needless to say, keeping up with similar tunes led to her having to wait for an hour before Monokuma’s shitty announcement played. Sure, sometimes she snuck out far before it was even an hour to airing, keeping to the shadows as she tried to spot who else (if any) did the same. Characters – or people, she supposed – who skulked around in darkness had a certain affinity to them, and knowing who among their twenty did so could prove to be pretty worthwhile.
Today though, Caelie had decided to take a more passive approach. And so, imagine her surprise upon exciting her room to an already-buzzing crowd that increased in size with every new head that peeked through open doors.
The moment she got a handle on what was going on – which didn’t take long at all - Caelie quickly retreated into her room. Was it a questionable act? Probably. Was the alternative worse? Definitely. For with her back against the door, nobody could see a grin spread wild and mad. No, not mad. But a touch of it, yes. Caelie brought a palm up to cover it up. Not to prevent any ghosts in her room from seeing it, but instead to dissuade any peep of amusement from making its way out.
To think that this was actually happening, for her to star in some sort of sick, possible amateurish murder mystery, did the gods in their gold-plated thrones up above revel in poetic hilarity? To have her life plagued by these sort of damnable chapters, what Caelie's done to deserve them was something she didn't know, but she sure as hell wasn't just going to expire in a prison like this. Such a fate just wasn't in the cards for someone like her, not in the least. She'll get through it all in one piece, and that's for damn sure.

I AM NOT A BAD BEAR even though i do bad things VERY BAD THINGS such horrible things "Upupu..."Unfortunately for the tumultuous 20 of the Marvelous Manor, that laugh was not an earpiece-confined cackle. It was the bear, the myth...the ursine legend. With a whirring click, he appeared right by Excrest's feet."Gooooooood morning, Krusty Kids! We've got a stiff, and one of you bastards did the dirty deed! Oh man, I hope the killer's name starts with D, so I can alliterate even more..." Drool trickled from Monokuma's mouth as he rubbed his stomach gleefully. "I just want the D, y'know? But thaaaat's not important! With a twirl, he produced...some sort of wand, with an Old World wifi signal atop it. With a flick of his wrist, the stick lit up in ethereal blue, and all 20 ElectroIDs beeped in harmony. Well...at least something was harmonious here. Upon opening your ID, a new app greeted you; the Monokuma Files. If you clicked on it, only one file was available."VICTIM: Eleanor Attaway CAUSE OF DEATH: Exsanguination PLACE: Floor 2 - Hallway L2 TIME: ~2 AM. NOTES: -The floor and walls are covered in various kinds of bloodstains. -Part of Eleanor's skull has caved in." It seemed this was the vague notes of her murder. This...was real. The trial to live, the trial to die...in just a few short hours, one of the 20 would most certainly be dead. And in their wake, they would leave a haunting mystery. As you look around, you may be unsure of who's your friend, or who's your foe. In the dim light of the morning, it may be hard to tell. But nevertheless, friend or foe...there was nowhere to go. Merely reality to face."Well, kids...I'm just so proud..." Monokuma looked down, quietly laughing. "Upu...puhuhu...and noooow, I've done my share! You have one hour before the trial! Good luuuuuuck! Luv luv!" It seemed that Investigation Time had finally begun...

Let’s dance,
And laugh, and love
And let’s just live▲ Things had been going about as well as one would hope under these conditions. And Rin was... well Rin was surviving for the time being. He had pretty much locked himself away after the appearance of the not-so-fuzzy build-a-bear reject. He became a paranoid mess, not even wanting to talk to any of the others. But Rin knew that if he had any hope of getting out alive, he had to be less of a complete coward... if that was even possible for him. But on this fateful morning, Rin decided to actually go out and socialize. He woke up feeling more determined than ever. He got dressed, cleaned up his marionette, and even brushed his hair for once. He was going to make today a good day. He was going to go out and try to make the best of everything. Or so he thought. Right as Rin was reaching for the doorknob he heard it. A scream. A bloodcurdling scream that could only mean one thing. It happened. Someone had died. Rin threw his door opened and rushed outside. He had never wanted to see a dead body, but he couldn't hide any longer. He had to see what happened, if it actually was a murder. He rushed out of the hallway and into the main area and noticed that everyone was gathering around something. And that's when the situation got even more grim. The announcement of a body. Rin couldn't deny it any longer. He entered the hallway and there it was, the body of a girl. The puppeteer dropped to his knees and began to cry. This couldn't be happening, it all had to be a bad dream. "N-No... why did this have to happen. Why!?"But he knew he wouldn't get an answer, all he could do now was do his best to help everyone else. He had to...if he wanted to survive. @ tag ● # # # ● notes MADE BY VEL OF GS

Dorothy wasn't feeling well for a while, so once she actually heard the Body Discovery Announcement, she slowly made her way to the crime scene. It was there that she saw the body of... that masked person she saw in the backstage. At least, that's what she recalled.
If she was more naive, that would have been the point where it would have dawned on her that she was in a real killing game, but she figured anyway that something would happen soon, given the bear's return from the depths of hell.
"A murder has occurred within a week... Does this mean the audience is safe? Mom is safe? If he lied, then so help me God..."
Around that time was also when she noticed a vibration on her electroID.
"Eleanor Attaway, huh? How did she even get here? Wasn't she supposed to have been rejected and gone home? Not only that, one of us twenty participants is most likely the culprit. Just like the bear said, I guess it's time to investigate."
The Polyglot was standing around, deep in thought. She only had one hour before someone was fated to die.
"As evil as I sound right now... I wonder who it was, and why. Guess I'll find out soon enough. I just hope I'm not framed for the murder. Clearing my name would suck."

316 words for @tags notes: notes A PERFECTLY CONSTRUCTED ALIBI [attr=class,mbox2]Ren took off his lab coat (his arms, now uncovered as he wore a t-shirt underneath, seem to be covered with scars), pulled out a small kit of medical supplies he always had, and applied a clear gel to Kris’s chest and then shredded up his lab coat with a scalpel wrapping the pieces around Kris’s chest tightly but still being gentle about it. Ren felt Kris’s forehead with the back of his hand before sighing.
Upon hearing Liam’s question, Ren turned, looking more serious than he had ever been since entering this place – the seriousness was probably offset by his adventure hat which looked like he was on some sort of safari. “ Krzysztof Wilk apparently had a very bad case of micturition. At first, I was worried as when one dies things like that tend to happen, however, he’s alive. I’ll explain more when everyone gathers around. There something… wrong about this whole situation. Regardless, there is nothing more I can do, but he will survive, albeit hurt.”
Ren left Kris’s room and walked over to the body to kneel down next to it. “Looks like we’ll have to do that autopsy, Kone-chan.” He still looked almost dangerously serious, but there was a little bit of an air of his usual childlike demeanor, as if he were excited. Ren smiled at Koneko before looking around.
”Uh… haven’t you guys seen the videos of how this happened before? Get going – investigate. I’ll be autopsying Excrest here with Koneko. And let’s see… these two will watch me to make sure I don’t do weird stuff.” Ren pointed to Mayumi and Gorou. “No one should leave alone – they could tamper with stuff. Chop chop while I chop chop Excrest up!” Ren smiled from ear to ear looking a little bit demented as he opened his medical kit up again and began to work on Excrest. Koneko flinched upon being addressed, before recovering and nodding at Ren's proposal. "Right, yes... I-I should be fine, now that the shock has worn off... I'm good with blood and all that, so... You don't have much to worry about."Taking another deep breath to calm herself, she looked around at everyone else still there. " H-He's right, nobody should investigate alone, for a few reasons. First off, if the killer if off investigating by themselves, they can easily make off with important evidence, and secondly, if someone finds something that could be incriminating, well... Er... They could easily become the killer's next target to silence them. W-We don't need any more corpses..."Looking back at Ren as he prepared for the autopsy, Koneko gave him a look of gentle disapproval. "Ren, be respectful, she was alive once, you know." She knelt down beside the body. "Although... I suppose finding the truth is more important than keeping her body intact... Just don't cut her open all over the place just for the fun of it, alright?"Out of the corner of her eye, she did see the large amount of scars on Ren's arms. "So that's why I was picking up traces of blood scent near him. I'd thought something was wrong with my sensors." However, now wasn't the time to grill him about that, so she decided to stay quiet for now. tag(s): @someone ━ words: 000 ━ remember that you are loved

[attr="class","box2"] Having calmed down, Caelie stepped out of her room for the second time that day. It was careless, what she had earlier done, but... it wasn't like she could have helped it. It was a reflex. A pricked finger recoiling, a struck knee jerking, an innocent grin spreading. Really, that was it.
Standing by the wall next to her door, Caelie held her ElectroID. Instead of scanning through the new file right that moment, she took the liberty of directing her attention to the reactions of those around her. 'If this were a scene in my novel, what clues would be revealed through faces betraying thoughts?' was something along the lines of what Caelie was thinking, but pulling it off in-person was most definitely easier said than done.
What really got her attention though was what the bear had said last. Talk about a ticking timer - one hour was barely enough to do anything at all!
Quickly going through Eleanor's file, Caelie slipped her ElectroID back into her purse. Briefly noting how Ren - the person that pissed Orica off within like... five minutes of all of them meeting - made a crude joke, one that would have brought a smile out of Caelie if it weren't for an incessant, dark (perhaps monochromatic) ticking counter at the back of her mind, she turned and walked towards one of the blondes. To Nana, specifically.
"Miss Shimedzu. I apologize if this is a little... forthcoming on my part, but what do you think about us partnering up?" she asked in a tone polite yet stern. In a way, perhaps overly commandeering. "Forgive my attitude right now - I'm a kind girl, and others may vouch for that - but I like to take these matters seriously. Especially since we weren't given much time at all."

"Miss Shimedzu. I apologize if this is a little... forthcoming on my part, but what do you think about us partnering up?"
It took a moment for the words of the writer to fully sink in. She was someone’s choice to be an investigation partner? Not to be self-deprecating, but she was just a violinist and when it came to trying to put together a super team of crime solvers you wouldn’t think that she’d be one of the first choices for somebody. Still, one has to do the best they can given the circumstances and once Nana snaps out of her stupor and realizes that she is indeed Miss Shimedzu that was being spoken too, the violinist tries to regain her composure.
“Ah, yes. Of course, I’d be glad to.” Maybe glad wasn’t the right word given the circumstances but she was trying her best, don’t judge me. Looking down at the body once again, Nana shifts the weight of her violin case over to her other shoulder and looks back at Caelie. Why was she bringing her violin to investigate a murder you ask? Nonya, that was why. Nana liked having her instrument with her at all times, rain, sleet snow or murder investigations.
“Well. Shall we, then?”
