The First Floor Main Area specifically...you could just hear a dull hum whenever you walked by the corner closest to the Foyer, on the right. If it wasn’t so apparent in that very precise spot, perhaps it wouldn’t have even tipped you off. But finally, you decide to approach it…
And you may be startled as the floor clicks, and a woman suddenly appears in that corner. What kind of Aspiring Ultimate Ninja was this…? No kind of ninja, as you would soon find out.
She certainly didn’t look like one, did she? Her strange, short red vest hung just barely over her skin tight black halter top, but...was that even allowed on TV? Well, if Orica was, maybe...still, you got the sense that even in tight clothes and a relatively short red skirt, there was nothing really sexual about her. She smiled a lot too...more than you might care for.
“Beep boop! Boop boop beep?” she asked cheerily, tilting her head. Well...you might try to reply, but she would just cut you off with a gentle laugh. “My apologies. Did you think I was some kind of ancient machine ghost? ...No, that would be silly. Rather, I am Ai; you may find my name unoriginal, but I assure you, I am anything but. I am the helper AI of the Marvelous Manor, and I will answer any questions you may have. Or...we can just be friends, I suppose.”
Despite her semi-normal speech, her voice flickered slightly in pitch and tone, as if under effects of noticeable Autotune. And if that didn’t tip you off...her appearance seems to flicker and glitch every few seconds.
Congratulations, contestants. You’ve now discovered Ai, the Helper AI.

Irene stood speechless for a moment, carefully studying what was in front of her. If not for the flickering and the fluctuating voice, the figure could very well have been mistaken for an ordinary girl. Significant advancements had been made in simulating human beings, it appeared, from appearance to artificial intelligence. Sufficiently advanced, it would likely be indistinguishable from any other person at some point. Could this be considered another form of life, though artificial? Would a corporeal form be needed? It depended on one's definition of what exactly life was, but that was an entirely different conversation for an entirely different time.
What she saw before her was very impressive for the moment, but she could not stand there staring the entire time. She had encouraged questions, and possibly friendship. For the moment, the former would work best, with the possibility of the latter to be seen at another time. "Miss... Ai, is it? It is very nice to meet you. I am Irene Karlsen, the Ultimate Toymaker." She nodded. "If I may say... Your existence is fascinating to me. May you tell me about yourself?"

You know, I thought our stay here at the manor was going to be relatively normal, but the second this happened I was proven wrong. I don't think I've screamed that loud in a while.
"P-Please d-don't scare us like that again! Not that y-you're a scary person. Sorry. So you're s-supposed to be a helper around here, r-right? Why w-would we need help around here?
Why would we need help around here? I think we've got things mostly under control here. Not to mention, why is help in the form of an AI instead of a human being? Actually, I think I have an idea.
"You're here to help with the challenges, r-right? To m-make sure everything goes smoothly? Sorry if I assumed w-wrong."
I feel like I'm missing something. My name! One of the most important parts of conversation, and I forgot it! What is wrong with me? I'm going to have to break out the mirror again, aren't I?
"I should probably give you my n-name, huh? I am Sir Liam Dayton, the Aspiring Ultimate Knight. Well, one of two."
Five times. I have introduced myself five times now. Everyone has got to be tired of hearing my name by now. I'm sure the audience and my fellow competitors have it seared into their brains by now. Great.
"Are you alright? Y-You seem kind of... nevermind."
How about we don't anger her already, huh? Why in the world would I think asking that is at all a good idea?

[attr="class","les"]As if this ordeal couldn't have gotten any stranger, the network threw in a fucking robot to assist everyone. Were the producers high when they decided to bring this scantily clad machine into existence? However, she began to wonder, soon after the 'discovery' in the bathroom, she encountered an actual robot. This convenience was as fishy as an aquarium. If the Killing Games of the past had Monokuma, then why couldn't AI go haywire and follow his footsteps? Or worse, what if the damned bear was brought back to life by a treacherous puppet master, and AI was used as some sort of decoy? That would explain why there were PlayBear magazines, and why some of the rooms had a chess board color scheme. If Monokuma really was hiding inside this school, she had to see if AI was a reliable source. Then again, she'd most likely treat Mayumi's question as if it were the Oxygen around her. She had to at least make her question sound relevant and on topic.

[attr=class,mbox] "OMG! OMG! OMG!" Valentina started to squeal with delight when she saw Ai. "You are the most cutest thing I have ever seen! I have to hug you!" With that, she began running full speed towards Ai with her arms wide open. She then swung her arms around Ai....and proceeded to pass right through her. Valentina didn't have time to process this fact, however, as she ran right into a wall. An audible smack was heard that might have made the others cringe. This was followed by Valentina slowly peeling off the wall and fall with a complete thud onto the floor below her with her head coming inches away from Mayumi's feet. "Mayumi, you didn't tell me you had two identical twins..." She proceeded to point to Mayumi and two empty spaces above her with her nose bleeding out onto the floor. She laughed at the idea of three Mayumis before the pain set it. "Owwww.........." she moaned. |  If at first you don't succeed.
Maybe you should stop trying. Sometimes it's simply not.

Ai looked from Irene to Liam to Mayumi to Valentina, but before she could react, suddenly Valentina had thrown herself at her. She was startled for a few moments before her processors caught up and understood exactly what had happened. Ai quickly offered her hand to Valentina, attempting to help her up.
”I am terribly sorry Rossi-san, I was unprepared for contact. If I am unaware, I am afraid I cannot prevent passing through my body. You see, I am made completely of energy, self-contained in this form by only a processor limiting where the energy goes. However, if I will myself to, I can come into contact with another.” If Valentina took Ai’s hand, it would feel tingly to the touch, a bit of energy escaping past her ‘boundaries’, but nothing enough to harm anyone. Ai’s ‘body’ felt like air to the touch, as if the air itself moved with the localized energy Ai asserted. ”It does use up a lot of energy however, to come into contact too often and so I usually keep myself in a form unable to touch.”
Ai giggled before realizing she had been rambling. ”I apologize, I have been programmed to learn how to keep my thoughts more concise, but it is quite a learning experience. I’ve never met so many people at once.”
Ai tilted her head as she considered the question of if there were any others like her, or any other ‘machines’. Well she took offense to being called a machine. She was a highly specialized AI granted a body of pure energy… then again her brain was a metal piece of processing unit stowed somewhere secret. Now the fridge. That little bugger was a suspicious machine. ”I am certain I am the only A.I. here, however, I suggest you beware of the fridge. My processes have yet to figure out why, but the fridge is very… suspicious. When I speak to it, it refuses to talk back. Now the blender… We have conversations all the time.” Ai smiled and tilted her head, not voicing the fact she was offended; after all, she was here to help not get upset that people thought she was just a machine.
”Think of me like Julie Chen! I’ll be hosting and making sure everything runs smoothly,” Ai continued to smile, giving Liam a thumbs up. “Don’t worry about introductions, I already know all of your names and talents. I was programmed to help you out. While I was programmed with some of the hopeful who didn’t get in… sadly they were erased from my memory banks.”
”About me? I didn’t expect to be asked this…” Ai considered for a moment, placing a finger on her chin looking up and off to the side at nothing in particular. For several moments, she stayed like this while she processed the question. "I was originally created many years ago prior to the Tragedy. I believe my name back then was ‘Alter Ego’. Over the years, my programming has been refined into the A.I. I currently am today.”

Someones body ramming full force into a wall. He imagined that would hurt.. There was no way though. Why would someone act so foolishly?
Well, he thought that. But as he stepped back into the main area with the tip of the bottle past his lips, he spotted her. A very, very, very cute girl who's image flickered like a hologram and who's voice sounded off, like a lowkey Max Headroom. "Holy sh--" He nearly did a spit take and swore. It wasn't good for an idol to swear in public, but really, holy shit was that an AI or something? With a look of astonishment, the boy approached the small crowd and listened into the explanation. Silently, for once in his life.
It took a long few minutes for Yuichiro to find his words. It-- No, she was stunning. And seemed wonderful. Yet, was that all artificial? If it was, did that matter? Very surreal. Finally, he started to open his mouth.
"H..." Don't. "Ahem.." DON'T. "Hello~ Miss! I didn't expect to find an angel in this manor too!" Good job, Yuichi. You've just transcended into flirting with AI's. The future was now. He did stutter a bit, so that was new. "Say, how come we didn't see you earlier? I'd have been overjoyed to be welcomed by someone like yourself! Are you free to roam the manor as you please?"
She was extraordinary. One of a kind. Plus, if she was made before the tragedy, then at some point that programmer from Class 78 was probably involved. He's seen pictures of that one... Very cute, indeed. No wonder this AI was cute too.
"It would be a delight of mine to get to know you better, if you could." He winked. Just a tiny bit. | |

Brunhild as always was late to the party when she entered the main area she noticed Yuichi, Valentina, Mayumi, Liam, and Irene all gathered near a girl whom she had never seen before. "Is that girl part of a staff?" Brunhild thought to herself, she quickly rushed to the place where entire group was standing. When she arrived she tilted her head towards Yuichiro to ask whether she missed anything important: "Did I miss..." However, Brunhild's speech was swiftly abrupted as she noticed that something was off about that girl that everyone gathered around. Brunhild quickly glanced all over Ai's body and noted that her body was twitching and even spasming from time to time. - Did they actually send us a robot to look over us? Wait, this does not look like a robot, perhaps it is a hologram. But, she looks too genuine to be a hologram. - She thought to herself and eager to find out what she is Brunhild started walking around her in circles to inspect her and after a long amount of time Brunhild finally gave up, puffed her cheeks and asked with a childish tone: "Ahh...I give up. What are you? Are you some kind of secret project of the hosts of the show to keep them in touch with us?

Dorothy heard quite a lot of noise in the main area of the Manor, but she wasn't exactly sure why, because she spent some time walking up to her room to put the staff she was carrying this whole time where it was safe. She figured that it would just be a hassle, even though she really liked it.
Upon closing in on the source of the noise, she overheard the facts that there was an A.I named Ai there to assist them, who already knew every participant's names and talents, which allowed Dorothy to skip her introduction.
"An A.I named Ai, huh? How very creative... Did that person get a raise, I wonder...?"
Nevertheless, with a pleasant smile on her face, the Polyglot approached Ai.
"Good day!", she began. Of course, she also wondered how advanced the A.I was. "I've got a few questions for you. Namely: How exactly can you help us out when the competition begins and, of course it'd be me asking the question: How many languages are programmed into you? If you know more than me, then we should get together so I can add more languages to my repertoire."
"I know it's a selfish request, but asking never hurt anyone and doesn't cost anything either. She's free to decline me, since if that happens, I can just study new languages by myself. I just hope she doesn't actually know more languages than me, whose talent revolves around speaking languages."
Still smiling, she awaited an answer.

Good Laughs, Good Murders, What more could anyone want? Nero heard a big commotion as he was walking around the mansion, it seems that everyone was gathering in the Main Area. As he walked to it, he saw an interesting sight to say the very least. There was a flickering lady in the corner, talking to everyone. After listening in for a moment, he heard her introduction.
Nero wasn't exactly sure what he was supposed to think as he looked at the interestingly clothed Ai. He really couldn't figure out how to interact with her, but if she's answering questions, he might as well ask.
"Hello Ai. It's very nice to meet you. Though I do have a question, am I free to use the kitchen for my making" asked Nero as he looked at the flickering program. Hopefully, she wasn't affected too much by the flickering.
"And I must ask. What exactly are you? Were you made specifically for this Game Show? Do you work for the Future Foundation?" It never hurt to ask questions, especially to people who come out of the floor boards and flicker in and out of existence.

Oh, what a beautiful day it was to be alive! The sun was shining, the birds were singing. And while everyone else was going about their daily lives, Apollo was busy treating himself to a nice and delicious breakfast. Thick and fluffy pancakes, with perfectly fried bacon, and of course, some tasty eggs, fried sunny side up. Delightful!
However, while Apollo was busy enjoying his breakfast, he immediately heard some commotion coming from the main area of the manor. Curious as to see what all the fuss was about, Apollo quickly finished his breakfast and headed to the main area, where he soon saw Yuichi, Liam, and the others. Of course, what immediately grasped his attention was the appearance of a strange holographic girl. Well, this was certainly new!
"What is this? No one ever told me that we would be having virtual assistants here on the show!" He said, gleefully. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Miss Ai! I'm Apollo Sinclair, the Ultimate Talk Show Host. And may I say, you are quite a lovely holographic AI, if I've ever seen one!"
Was he really flirting with a hologram? Maybe. But since it technically was the future, then he figured that pretty much anything can happen. Even holographic robots.

Not only appearing incredibly life-like, but also capable of a form of contact. While not the same as human contact, it was contact nonetheless, and it had made a decision to display this to them. Had there been a conscious decision, or was it merely a part of the programming? If there had somehow been a conscious decision, and thus consciousness, could this be considered life, however artificially created? Could sufficiently advanced programming account for its casual conversation and attempts at humor, or must there be something more?
"Miss Ai... You are certainly a fascinating piece of technology. You... look impressive." Irene took a step forward, mechanically raising a hand, seemingly for a handshake. "May you tell me your favorite color? Favorite animal, perhaps? Favorite game? Have those been implemented in your programming? Do you not have them? Or have you reached a decision on them by yourself?" She paused after the string of questions. "I apologize if I have asked too much."
