nobody ever made you dig deeper
He found some… interesting information in Shiro’s room. Though, Root was looking for specific calculations… though he might be able to extrapolate the process he needed from the work he had found in Shiro’s room. Being a scientist required math, but he was not the master of math, not even close. He usually took a long time to figure out the math to support his theories. He was better at applied maths, have a specific goal in mind, knowing the solution, knowing equations and processes and the rules and the logic within the world itself. Math had a purpose with science, Root believed, otherwise math was useless.
Upset that he didn’t find the calculations he was looking for, though satisfied with what he found, Root finished making his notes before turning around towards the door to leave. Hold on. He’d been ignoring his partner. Root stopped in his tracks for a moment before turning to where Mariko was standing before thinking to himself to not worry about it and he quickly exited the room, reviewing his notes in his notebook, the picture of the murders starting to become clearer, despite the actual culprit still remaining a mystery.
“Tell me,” Root said as he walked towards Iocus’s room, “Mariko. What do you think happened?” Root reached Iocus’s room and walked in as he began his search. It was a curious reason why Iocus was the one he wanted investigate, but he needed to find a specific person who might be related to these murders. He could investigate Tamashi’s room, but he knew that Tamashi probably didn’t kill himself. He could check the Trickster’s room, but there seemed to be a lot of traffic there, and he rather not deal with the other people accusing him or whatever due to his ‘not giving a leap’ attitude. No, he’d rather do his own investigating. Although, he wouldn’t mind running into Adrianna, but he would mind running into the idiot with the hat and a scar.
Out of all the people here, Iocus seemed like he was the most ‘innocent’ when it came to the crime. Not the good kind of innocent. It almost seemed like an act. Then again, this was Root we’re talking about, he didn’t know how people really worked.
