I was shocked.
There is no way a person could say that many words without breathing in between. His mouth was like a the opposite of a vacuum cleaner, a reverse vacuum!
I sorta spaced out a little bit but I think I got the gist of what he said. It was time for more baseless evidence!
"I can't remember that many details yet. My memory is still coming back to me. I can't remember that many details from your life. I can't remember if you even told me that before. Heck, I can't even remember many of my own personal details. I can't even remember my wedding with Boriko without it being a vague blur in my mind."
That should be a good enough explanation for some of the missing information. There was no way for me to know all of that.
"I would also like to point out that it IS possible for somebody to love you. The fact that Boriko was born is proof enough. I may not be able to show her to you but you know deep down that it is true. Look within you and you will know the answer. No jokes here. You ARE Boriko's dad..."
I turned around and faced away from him.
"However, you made a wrong assumption..."
I took a deep breath and said,
"...You are assuming Mariko is Boriko's mother..."
