As soon as Willow had finished up his initial investigation of the South side of the park, he knew what he had to do. He grabbed the cups from the Church and filled them up at the Saloon. He also grabbed candles from around the church and placed them on the alter. Enough to represent everyone who had died, including the girl currently hanging on the cross.
Willow would have taken her down and given her a proper burial if he could. But he knew Monokuma wouldn't like that and he would probably be killed. And the Trickster couldn't die yet. He had far too much to do.
He used notebook paper and his pen to write name cards for all of the victims of Monokuma's game. Unfortunately he didn't have photos, or most of his equipment for alter making. This impromptu Shrine would do for now.
"Adrianna. I am so sorry. I failed you. I promise you are not forgotten. Your story will live on." Willow said.
"Saoirse...I may as well have killed you myself. Nana used my voice to lure you in. In the end...I was someone you trusted even though you didn't want to trust anyone. It may not be worth much to you...but I will never forget you. " Willow said.
Then he prayed.
It wasn't the first time he prayed in a Christian church. However it was a fairly rare occasion. Willow worshipped different Gods. Still this church had an aura of peace that few places in this park had. Even with the dead body on the cross, even with blood washing through the park and the mad intentions of the group that had used it for a killing game. Some goodness remained in this Church.
After a while of praying silently at the alter. He got up to return to the pews and wait. He was waiting for Alexia to follow after him, and this was a good enough place after all for....
a confession.

"We need to talk. Come find me" Were the last words Alexia heard from Willow when Monokuma was rambling on about murder and his new motives. Alexia had decided not to push it any further, listening to what others had to say, and what they said back. It was always the same. She didn't give a shit about these future foundation people, all she wanted was to leave. Not to be sidetracked. She was going to leave the park and look around, but when Willow's request was brought up. Alexia knew there was something up. So she went to find him.
Every time Willow was around her, she would always get this really odd feeling. Something that seemed to make her happy. It was a stupid feeling, Alexia thought, but she couldn't help it. She just... Liked hanging out with him. So an offer like Willow's couldn't be backed down by her.
When looking for Willow, she came across the shooting range beforehand. "Protection?" She thought, staring at the guns on the rack. Alexia was still in the killing game, and although she knew Willow would not pull off something like that... She felt the urge to have one on guard with her. Besides, he was the ultimate trickster, he could of easily been playing with her feelings and Alexia didn't know it...
"No, Willow wouldn't do that. There's no way." She thought to herself. "I-I'm just being paranoid. It's all just in my head."
Alexia then left the shooting range, with those thoughts swimming in her head. She had resisted the urge, she had trusted Willow. But was this the right thing to do? Only time would tell.
Alexia soon entered the church. A huge structure, built with care. Although Alexia was not religious herself. She still had to admire the beauty of the building.
She opened the church doors silently, and slowly walked in. Her footsteps echoed through the church hall. There was someone in the front row who was bowing their head... Could it be...
"Willow?" Alexia said softly, trying to to disturb the peace in the building. "Is that you?"

Alexia's voice cut through the silence of the church. Here it was. The moment he had dreaded and hoped for. It was time to face the music and give Alexia some of his hidden past. He stood up and turned to face the police officer. She looked as pretty as always. She also seemed scared and confused.
"Hello Ms. Takana. I am glad you are here." Willow said with a faint and sad smile. Would she grow to hate him after this? Probably. It was what he deserved.
"I told you to find me because....I wanted to reveal certain truths about myself. Truths that I have hidden from most everyone. " Willow continued. He could feel his mask falling. It was a scary sensation. What would even be underneath it? He had worn it for so long after all.
"I have presented a certain image of myself. To you and the others. Everyone basically. You all seem to believe certain things are true about me. That I have some inner strength or quality of spirit that pushes me forward. Or that I am trying to betray you all. Luring you into a false sense of security. That I am a stone wall that can take punishment over and over with little effect." Willow said. As he continued he felt himself losing his composure more and more. But he had to keep going. He had to keep moving.
It might be her only chance to survive. And it might be his only chance to tell his story to her. It was so important that he told her and he wasn't quite sure why. Maybe because he had already lost his chance to tell Adrianna and Saoirse. Maybe because he needed her trust. All he knew was that he had to spill his guts. As much as he could.
"You're all wrong though. I am not some virtuous hero, nor a cold manipulator. I am not tough or strong or anything." Willow said. His mask was fracturing rapidly. Soon it would be in a thousand pieces.
"I'm weak." He said simply. For whatever reason that hard, simple sentence was all it took to destroy his mask entirely. Tears streamed down his face in a rush. Yet he felt so cold.
"I have spent my entire life hiding who I am. People see pieces of the puzzle. But never all of it. I don't let them. Because...I am terrified. Terrified that they won't see me the way I want them to. That they will hate me and leave me by myself. I am scared. Scared of being alone. And selfish. More selfish than anything." Willow said. His hand around his arm looking at the stained glass window. He couldn't see Alexia's face. Whatever was on it wasn't something he wanted to see.
"I have done terrible selfish things and I have swept them under the rug. Blaming others for my foolish decisions. But Adrianna and Saorise's deaths taught me something. That it was all me. Victor....Sophia....Adrianna....Saoirse....my family...my friends....everything that happened to them happened because of me. That they had the misfortune of knowing me." Willow said. His voice was full of despair. After a few moments of hard breathing he wiped his eyes.
"You must hate me now already. Here I am in a killing game with you. People have been dropping like flies. And here I am crying for myself. I already told you I'm a selfish person. But I promise you right here and now you're not talking to a mask anymore." Willow said. Indeed it seemed as though his entire posture had changed. He was not the self assured, intelligent trickster. Not the hopeful and careful leader. Not the charming, aggressively friendly storyteller, or the equally affable rogue. No....now he just seemed like a scared, sad little boy.
"Le-let's start over a bit. M-my name is Willow Fey. It's very nice to meet you Alexia." Willow said. His voice was quieter and hesitant and lacked the charisma it usually held. It felt odd to just...be in his skin like this. He could put a mask back on at any point. Retreat into it all again. He would likely do that soon. But for now it was just him. All his flaws and insecurities. All the aspects of his personality in one form. He felt very vulnerable like this.
If Alexia rejected him like this he might break. But....he needed her to see this. And she should see him in any case. He owed her that much.

Silence.
This was the last thing that she was expecting from a calm, collected and cool person. One who has, through all this pain and heartache, stayed strong and pushed our group on. He was the order, the one who kept sense and mortality through these events... And for him, to be revealing to her that he was weak... It reminded her of...
"W-Willow..." Alexia's voice was cracked, she had to stay strong right now, she had to stay strong for Willow. He had put all of his trust onto her, she had to respect it. But every time she tried to say something, the more she wanted to break down.
"Adrinanna and Saroise's death was not your fault at all. It was nobody fault... Saroise was only killed by Nana because she was sleep deprived a-and Adrianna just..." She swallowed, holding back tears "T-The point is that those deaths... They were not on you. You did not deserve that to happen to you. If it's anyone you should blame it is the mastermind. He is the one orchestrating all these deaths." Alexia tried to hold her emotion in, but it was too late. Soon, her eyes began swelling up with tears.
"I don't hate you... I don't hate you at all for this..." She took off her glasses for the first time during this killing game, wiping her eyes of the tears. "I trust you... So, so much now." Alexia knew that this was not one of his other tricks. Thought the last couple of month, she and Willow seemed to have a great bond... She knew what he was like and this tone of voice and emotion sounded very real.
Alexia felt sick. This was the first time ever that Alexia was put into a situation where someone had put so much trust in her. She was always the 'lone wolf'. The outcast who always did things for herself. But, in a game like this. A game of survival. She knew she had to mingle with others to survive, or else she would end up dead just like the others who remained silent.
But now she knew what she was missing out on. Having friends had made her determination boost. It made her emotional and actually care for people. But most of all, it made her more happy then ever. The trust in people had made her realize how much it meant to them and herself. She wasn't afraid of talking to Willow anymore, she felt like she could tell him anything.
Alexia sniffled and then looked at Willow, who was still looking away from her. She wiped her eyes and spoke. Her voice sounded much less confident, but her passion was still there. It was always there. She was not a bad person like many people thought she was, she was just insecure of trusting anyone, she thought that people would always end up backstabbing her. But now, she knew that Willow was not the type of person to do something like that.
She had gained his trust.
"I-I suppose I should too, re-introduce myself..." She held her elbow and looked down at the floor. "It's a pleasure to meet you. I am Alexia Takana".

Here she was. Acting kind. After all that. He thought for sure....that nobody would want to see him like this. That they would recoil instantly. Alexia had just said she trusted him. It all made him feel oddly satisfied. If she rejected him now as he continued to tell his story, then at least he had experienced this.
"U-um...th-thank you for your kind words but y-you don't know wh-what I do. M-my selfishness and co-cowardice have caused a lot of pain. D-despite the fact that they are often conflicting d-desires." Willow said. It was so much harder getting words out like this. How did Root and the others bare being so painfully themselves all the time? The trickster had been deceiving himself on one thing, his masks were different then others. They were made of pieces of himself yes...but he was also essentially acting. Using elements of himself to form new characters whole cloth.
"I- I must th-thank you once again. Y-your kindness is...v-very much appreciated. Y-you remind me so m-much of home. J-just like Adrianna and Saoirse. F-from the beginning a-after our conversations, I trusted all of you as much as you could s-strangers in this situation. Y-you have helped me so much so th-that is why I n-needed to tell you this." Willow continued. He just felt so awkward and scared again, like he was when he was very small. Before his mother and Victor showed him the way to be.
"Wh-when I was born, the Gods f-filled me with n-natures th-that made it harder for me. I w-was v-very shy and w-weak physically by n-nature. B-but I understood people and what they ex-expected so I was able to avoid the worst people. I played pranks, ch-childish stuff really for the mo-most part. It was a w-way to get people to notice me and it was f-fun and I w-was actually good at it. I made some fr-friends while doing it and th-that was when..." Willow came to a stop and sighed. It was visibly difficult for him to talk about this.
"There was.....I....at some p-point." Willow began with several false starts. He could feel the anxiety wash over him in tremendous waves.
"F-for as long as I can remember I wasn't l-like other boys. N-not really like p-people in general I w-was...am a weird person. I l-loved stories, e-even the kind most kids found b-boring. I l-loved nature, w-which is weird for a c-city kid and...well..." Willow found himself unable to meet Alexia's eyes again. This was so frustrating. If he was some other him, he would be able to get the words out so much more easily. But that wasn't the point of this was it?
"I...I wanted to be pretty." With those words forced out, Willow clenched his fists and closed his eyes. Waiting for the world to end. When it didn't he breathed. One. Two. Three. Some of his tension melted away. Another him could have said those words so easily. In that moment he wanted so much to slip back on his mask. It would be so easy. But he couldn't be a coward here and now, he had to be brave for Alexia and the friends he already lost.
"I...I wanted to dress up as a g-girl. I didn't know w-why really, only that I w-wanted to. M-my sister Rose, she...she had always b-been a tomboy so I had n-no real reason to think this was wrong. B-but I did know it was weird so I had to be careful with who I told...i-if anyone. One day though...I told one of m-my friends. I t-thought I could trust her. T-turns out I was wrong. S-she called me a f-freak and worse...and then she told e-everyone. My other friends and her parents. F-for that and other r-reasons we couldn't live in that neighborhood anymore. " Willow paused and breathed again. He was glad he had cultivated the ability to calm himself down, otherwise he probably would have gone into a full blown panic attack at this point.
"M-my Mother was always good to me though. When I was ready to shut d-down and lock myself away f-forever, she taught me how to turn off the parts of yourself that weren't u-useful. She helped me out w-with the crossdressing, in p-private. E-Eventually with the u-use of my masks, the p-persona's I put on, and my status as a trickster...I was able to get a-away with p-pretending my crossdressing was a j-joke or some t-trick or something and was a-able to go out in p-public sometimes. It made me k-kinda happy but...I knew deep down that I was l-lying out of c-cowardice. " Willow said.
"I...I guess I needed to tell you this f-for a lot of reasons. B-but mostly because you needed to know...as my f-friend. P-please if you have any q-questions or a-anything to tell me, do it now. I...can't be all of me f-forever, n-not in this game. Soon I w-will have to put the mask back on." Willow concluded with downcast eyes. He had said his piece for now. Whatever happened happened. It was out of his hands.
