The small Earth that humans reside on is…a fickle place. Heroes’ capes tatter and on the flip of a coin, they become villains. Villains lose sight of whatever malevolent goal they’re pursuing and suddenly, they’re heroes. And sometimes, the listless become restless and the rest is history. The fickle nature of humanity is what always has, and will always be, its fatal flaw.
That sentiment echoes through Willow Fey’s head as his eyes rapidly skim the paper that was slipped under his door in the midst of the night. Ignia and Iocus had also received handwritten copies under their doors.
-x-x-x- “Dear Willow, (and Iocus and Ignia!) I have to start this letter with an apology. We all kinda failed, huh? The Ultimates. The symbols of hope or whatever we are, we failed at staying alive. Some of us died, some of us killed, and the rest of us…just…stayed around, twiddling our thumbs and crying over it. We haven’t been heroes. We haven’t been hopeful. We haven’t done anything at all. I’m supposed to serve and protect, and I…failed you guys. I failed Shiro, and Saoirse…I failed Mugen…Mariko…even Mamouro. What kind of officer am I? But I…I refuse to fail! I won’t go down without a blast of light and a hell of a fight! I won’t!!!!! So I hope you can forgive me. I hope you can forgive Koji. I…”
The page is stained with tears here.
“I wish you could’ve forgiven Mamouro too. He was supposed to…join us in this. That’s why we’ve been staying away from you guys for the past week or so. We’ve been making our plan, to…be heroes! But Mamouro’s death is lighting a fire in me that cannot ever ever ever die. No matter how I’m stabbed, burned, slashed, hung, shot, sliced, diced, choked…the fire of hope can never die. Justice and order, h’yah! Haha, I really wanted to go all superhero before I did this. So… If we die in this, which we probably will… Just know that Monokuma is going to be weakened. I know we can’t win. I don’t think Koji does, but…that’s the only way to keep his flame burning. I don’t expect to survive. But I am going to serve and protect you all, in the best way I can think of. Be proud when you arrive at the Walk of Shame. I know I am. And Willow…you were so kind to me. You made me feel like…I could do anything. I care about you a lot. So please make the most of your life from now on, okay? I care about Iocus and Ignia too. I was wrong in what I said at the beginning of this letter. We are heroes! And we aren’t going down to any bear! Nothing can ever put down Ultimates! Your hero, Alexia Takana
: ) ” -x-x-x-
[Quick, react to the letter and begin your chase to the Monowood Walk of Shame!]

Ignia read the letter. Had this happened during the beginning of the journey in Monoworld, the Arsonist would have gone 'eh' and not have paid this letter another single thought.
But now, after witnessing thirteen deaths, four of them being executions, Ignia's heart dropped upon reading. She knew that the Police Officer was about to do something really, really stupid. She knew she had to act quickly.
Putting the letter on her bed, she began to sprint towards the Monowood Walk of Shame. She didn't alert Willow or Iocus because the letter itself mentioned them, so she was sure that they have received the letter themselves.
There was no time to lose.

Willow Fey had always fancied himself an observant person, but in this respect he had failed. Failed to notice that Alexia, Shabots and Koji were planning something. In hindsight it was so obvious. The three of them had started hanging around each other a lot more frequently as of late. But that had seemed about right. They were talents who prided themselves on personal strength, a certain bond forming made sense. Willow had thought she had began avoiding him because of his confession in the church and what he had asked of her after. To keep her distance from the potential fallout of his plan.
Turns out though Alexia had a plan of her own. One that may very well cost her her life. Willow couldn't allow that to happen. Not after everything else. He needed to get her out of this park. His hands were bathed in the blood of too many friends already. The trickster had been blind, too absorbed in his own plan to get out that he didn't see what those three were up to.
He wasn't going to let anyone be martyred on his behalf. He was the gods damned Hope Traitor. If anyone was supposed to die for the sake of another it was supposed to be him.
Willow got up and ran out of his dorm room. He wouldn't stop running until he got to the Walk of Shame.

I had taken a shower. I had my freshly cleaned pajamas on. I turned the lights off and headed to bed. It was one of those nights where the feeling of a bed felt amazing. The feeling that no matter how you move in the bed, it will be super comfortable. These nights happened very rarely and I was going to make sure I made the best of it!
I closed my eyes and began to fall asleep...
...then I heard a scratching noise...
...it was coming from the door...
...HOLY SHIT IT MUST BE A SPIDER...
I jumped out of bed immediately. I was not about to become spider food tonight. My night of bliss was ruined because of a bitch-ass spider!
I had to protect myself somehow. I searched around the room and could not find something. The lack of weapon was the least of my worries. I could not see the spider. It was waiting. It was waiting for me to slip up.
I sprinted towards my door in an attempt to escape but fell face first by the door way. I grabbed a piece of paper on the floor next to my door and made it into a tube shape. It was my only defense against the spider...
I decided to warn the others so I sprinted out of my room.
I saw pedo rabbit sprinting furiously.
He must have been looking for a weapon as well.
I decided to follow him to protect him incase he couldn't find a decent weapon in time.
We were at war!

Upon arriving at the Monowood Walk of Shame, chaos had erupted. The air was darkened with gunpowder; bullets were flying in every direction… …and roughly five hundred Monokumas were piled on the street, their cases cracked and their wiring torn to pieces. More and more of them were jumping into the pile with war cries and claws outstretched…just to end up shattered with a couple shots directly into the seam between their monochromatic bodies. But where were Alexia and Koji?
That became clear as the duo leaped from the pile into the air, shooting wildly with determined gazes. One covered the other, and together, they were destroying the bears systematically. Alexia panted hard as she skidded across the pile, flipping her gun in a circle to shoot the bears behind and above her. Koji hung back in a corner, dodging bears and smashing or shooting them with his rifle. Alexia’s knees were bruised and bloody, and her clothes were tattered. One of her eyes looked…unsalvageable in the red mess on her face. But adrenaline coursed through her body as she jumped again, narrowly avoiding Monokuma’s leap onto her back. His claws tore through her shirt and left deep red gashes. Koji had a slight limp as he tried to run from the agile robots. But still, the duo pressed on.
“Koji, behind you!” Bam. Another dead bear. “Alexia, you’re surrounded…I-I got it, no worries!” Bam, bam, bam, bam. Four more dead bears.
What…what had happened? Had Alexia Takana and Koji Enomoto gone Super Saiyan?!

Ignia arrived to the Monoworld Walk of Shame when she heard gunfire. Instinctively, she took cover to the closest thing she found, while also making sure that no Monokuma could sneak up on her and attack her. Periodically, she looked out and watched how utterly awesome Koji and Alexia were being.
She figured that calling attention to her position would distract the two, so she cheered for them in her heart instead.
"Koji, Alexia, I didn't think the two of ya would be so badass... Here I am bein' a dirty coward...
She watched the battle of epic proportions unfold. This is what DETERMINATION did to people.

This...this was a war zone. Willow had arrived, pushing his body to the limit by running all this way. Now that he arrived he had very little he could do. This kind of thing wasn't his strong suit, he preferred indirect confrontation. Even so Willow had to do something.
The trickster stayed out of the way and observed as closely as he can. He chanted spells and prayers to aid them in little ways. Drawing a gun and firing could result in his demise and he couldn't risk that. So he cast spells in an attempt to make Koji and Alexia that little bit faster, that little bit luckier, that little bit more accurate. Curses that could cause tiny flaws in the Monokuma robots to become much bigger, slowing them and causing them to break down.
Nothing too big. He didn't have any of the materials or time for that. Nor even as much energy and focus. And he had to be subtle so that the Monokuma's wouldn't notice and turn on him. But even so...
Willow was giving it his all here. There was no way he could just allow them to die. Especially not with them giving it everything they had to help save everyone.
Here and today he was going to prove why he had been accepted at Hope's Peak, why he had been chosen by the Future Foundation. Willow had strength and heart in him still left and he would try whatever he could to save them, or at least prevent them from dying in vain.

I kept following Pedo Rabbit until we reached the Walk of Shame.
There a scene unfolded that could only be described as a battlefield in a movie. There were dozens of Monokumas running around with their claws out. Two teenagers shooting all around them in order to defend themselves from the threat. It was unreal. Friend and foe coming together into a battle of survival against a coming threat. The spiders!
The spiders must have been all around them! The gunners were shooting the spider climbing the monokumas and the monokumas were slashing at the spiders climbing the gunners.
Never in my life had I seen this type of event.
I rolled up my paper and took a step forward.
It was time for the uprising.

Watching them from so close was…magnificent, wasn’t it? This was the bear-related smackdown you’d all been wishing for since Day 1. Dead Monokumas were absolutely everywhere, and occasionally, the battle would disappear from sight. Then the two would crawl from the increasing pile with grunts and screams, and immediately fire shots once more.
It was like…a proper thank you from them to everyone who had lost their lives in Monoworld.
Shiro Suzuki, the SHSL Mathematician… Tamashi Kasai, the SHSL Analyzer… Daisuke Iwasaki, the SHSL Skater… Joaquin Johnson, the SHSL Lawyer… Adrianna Kravenski, the SHSL Flower Maiden… Saoirse Moran, the SHSL Traceur… Nana Okabe, the SHSL Voice Actor… Mamouro Shabots, the SHSL Boxer… Mugen, the SHSL Mononoke… Mariko Nakazawa, the SHSL Film Director… Taro Yamada, the SHSL Survivor… Alexander Root, the SHSL Scientist…
Every name was another stepping stone to the end. The surviving five owed every breath they took to every stolen breath from a fallen classmate. Monokuma had somehow killed every last one of them, and this was sweet, sweet vengeance. The gunslingers collected more injuries as it went on. Alexia’s left arm was bleeding profusely, Koji’s hair was matted with blood…a broken finger, a hole in a leg. But through hobbling and dragging and cursing, they pressed on.
Suddenly, Alexia’s focus dimmed. A bullet missed an approaching Monokuma and whizzed past Iocus’ ear, a mere centimeter away. Another bullet fired directly after aimed low, hitting Willow in the foot during his bended prayer.
Alexia’s eyes…started to brim with tears, as she realized that her lover and her friend were watching her fight to the death. And even worse, they in turn had almost died at her hand. Somehow, perhaps Willow’s prayers and Ignia’s encouragement and Iocus’ blind and confused determination had invigorated her—but that was slipping away. “Alexia, behind--!” “Willow!”
A bear rapidly approached the Police Officer as she faltered, raising his claws menacingly and preparing to bring them down in the swift end of Alexia Takana, the SHSL Police Officer…
And he was blasted away by Koji, with one precise shot. But not without a certain price paid. The shotgun clattered to the ground as his blood poured onto the scrap metal and dyed it coppery red, his open throat smiling grimly as his knees gave out and dropped him. His eyes dulled rapidly, but not before he whispered something undecipherable and sighed a final time.
Koji Enomoto, the SHSL Hunter, was dead.
Alexia stood still, shellshocked, as Koji’s murderer approached her with a slow and decisive gait.

Willow barely felt the pain as the shot hit his foot. It would hurt like hell later but he had to protect Alexia. With Koji making his final sacrifice, Willow used the oppurtunity to push Alexia behind himself and pull out one of the guns he had kept on him since shortly before the trial and aim it right at the Monokuma's red eye.
"Hello Monokuma. It seems we have a little situation here. See, you want to kill Alexia because her and Koji just put up a tremendous act of defiance. I won't allow her to be killed because I...care for her greatly. I could kill you but that would mean all of the rest of you will come after me. And I don't particularly want to die today. Still I have the benefit of the upper hand. I have two other guns in my jacket and two friends who would be happy to help me out. So the deal is, I kill you and throw the other two guns to them and we get out of here or die trying. Something tells me though that you don't want it to end that way. Four friends fighting against tremendous odds for the sake of each other? That sounds like quite the hopeful tale doesn't it? Inspiring even. A glorious tale that all these cameras will be sending to the outside world." Willow said, his voice an icy calm in spite of what he felt. He backed away just a little and kept his eyes moving around the field taking in all he could. He didn't want to be surprised by a Monokuma.
"So here's what you do. You walk the hell away before I make this happen and you let us tend to Ms.Takana here or your whole little despair plan falls apart in front of your face and none of us even get to see your little "Mastermind trial". Come on, I know whoever is behind this wants a final confrontation. One last battle of wits. Are you really going to let it end like this?" Willow said. This was the only chance he got. He had to rely on the Ultimate Trickster talent that had gotten him so far, both in this game and in his life.
Both Alexia and Willow's lives were riding on this taking.

Time seemed to slow as Willow flung himself in front of Alexia. He rattled off his heroic speech as the bear grew ever-closer, and soon enough, they were nose to snout. The red eye of the robot flickered for a second before flaring blindingly red, as he raised a claw to smash down on Willow’s thin frame.
And then, time seems to slow down even further. Willow could feel his body slowly tumbling as a strong push from behind shoved him aside, and rolling down the pile unharmed. Alexia Takana, gun raised, fired one last bullet. The case fractured and split as the mechanism inside shattered like glass, and it toppled forward as time returned to normal speed.
The Monokuma bot, deactivated and still.
Alexia Takana, standing stoic even as blood dripped from the tips of its claws.
Even as the claws that had pierced through her ribcage retracted, in one final shutdown sequence.
Alexia Takana tumbled down the hill then, her eyes briefly focusing on Koji before his body disappeared from her line of sight. And then, a smokey blue sky.
She was still alive, but not long for this world.
"I...I..." Blood was dripping from her mouth at an alarming rate.

Ignia called out to the fighters.
"KOJI! NO!", she screamed from her safe location. Then she saw Alexia tumbling down, bleeding from her mouth. She then nudged Iocus' shoulder.
"Iocus, we gotta do somethin'! We have to get her to the nurse's ASAP! But how, with so many of the damn bears runnin' around?"
She looked at Willow, who seemed to oddly be fine after being shot in the foot. Looking around in her pockets, she saw her lighter. The same lighter Alexia saw when she caught her back when nobody was dead yet.
She had an idea, but she couldn't risk Willow's safety, Alexia's, her's and Iocus'.
Although she was determined as all hell, Ignia did not intend to die today, either. If a Monokuma came her way, she'd beat it into a pulp.

None of it was fair....that's what got to Willow the most. He had played the game the best he could and each and every time he was kicked in the teeth. The motive itself was the cause of death for Adrianna. Saoirse was killed because Nana manipulated her voice to sound like his. Monokuma made him confess to being the Hope Traitor at the last trial, causing a massive alteration to his plans.
Then when he finally had the oppurtunity to be a hero, the Mastermind wouldn't even listen to him. Logically they should have had the Monokuma's back off, their plan could fall apart right here and now after that act of senseless violence. Was the Mastermind an utter idiot? Now his plan was all worthless. Alexia was probably already dead. He knew that in seconds after he hit the ground. Nothing he had done here had ever made a difference in the end. Willow might as well have not even existed at this park. He had done each and everything right. Made all the correct moves and still nothing. Absolutely nothing came from it.
Willow got up fast though in spite of it all. The trickster was just too pissed to give up and die here. He tore off a piece of his jacket and wrapped it around Alexia's wound, applying pressure. Willow couldn't just not try. Not after everything that had happened. One short prayer later and he was ready to mobilize.
"Alexia! Don't speak ok. You'll be fine. You were brave...you did well. Ignia, help me move her. We need to get her to the nurse's office. Iocus!" Willow said, sliding another gun over to the Comedian. "You cover our rear. We can't have the Monokuma's attacking us while we transport her there. "
Willow began to lift Alexia up for transport, while still applying pressure to the wound. The day wasn't over yet, gods damn it all. His spirit could go on a little while longer.

Ignia turned to Willow.
"Yeah, Willow. I'm right here!" She ran towards to the Trickster and lifted up Alexia by her feet, so that she could see what Iocus would do with the gun Willow gave him.
The Arsonist was lucky that she wasn't hurt anymore from when she got hit by the explosion of the ? ? ? Room. That would have slowed down the two of them immensely.
"The Nurse's was at the east gate, right?", Ignia inquired. "That's pretty far, ya know? I'm not sure we can carry her to there fast enough. But... we have to try."
Ignia would then follow Willow's orders in which direction they had to go, since there might be obstacles in their way Ignia can't see.
