Opening his drawer, you see a box of some sort. It's latched shut.
The room stinks, probably because of the rotting apples everywhere...

It smelled like apple cider, but I grabbed his notebook and took a good look at it. Hoping to not be confused. I also tried to open the box in the drawer.
