SHERIFF’S OFFICE PT. 2
The Security Tapes - Tapes of all the happenings of Monoworld. It appears to be some sick “highlight reel”, as it focuses on the deaths. Shiro is shown being beaten down and then executed via a slit throat. It shows Tamashi running from Daisuke and being bludgeoned in the process. You can hear the sickening crunch of his skull...You see Joaquin as the book flies toward his shocked face, clamping on his skull. The needles inject almost immediately, and you’re treated to watching him twitch for a moment before he hits the ground and expires. It shows Adrianna fall into the Fountain unconscious, completely submerged to the horror of her peers. Monokuma immediately appeared and announced her death, and oddly enough, for ten minutes it focuses on her body resting under the water. It cuts to Mamouro running into the Theatre and Mariko firing into his body, followed quickly by Alexander pistol whipping his girlfriend. The clip cuts away to Root wandering around for a bit, and then switches back to Mariko after a minute. Now Root returns with another gun, firing and killing her. It cuts to him torturing Mugen...and that goes on for far too long. It’s loud, horrific, and sickening. You don’t want to see Root this way. Then you see Koji battling the bears, until one slits his throat into a red smile and his knees buckle. And finally, Alexia as she passes away in Willow’s arms. ...The next scene is from behind you, the camera peering as you watch these tapes. EUGH!
THE ? ? ? ROOM
The Paper - After crawling through the rubble of the room, you find something..peculiar. The infamous paper from the ? ? ? Room is stark white and clean, despite being crumpled. The answers are all gone from it, with one new statement typed in. “You are near one of the biggest radioactive craters in history. Guess what happened~? Boom, thanks American government! And only 10 km away, too. Upupupupu!”
THE MONOWOOD WALK OF SHAME
The Stars - So many stars have been cracked. Shiro, Daisuke, Nana, Saoirse, Joaquin, Mamouro, Mariko, Mugen, Root, Taro...Monokuma informs you that those belong to the murdered or the punished.
The Ashes - A pile of ashes lies in the street, scattered by the wind.
The Petal - A single red petal is near the ashes, its edges burned thoroughly. Seems like it was spared, intentionally or unintentionally.
The View - Peering through the electric fence, you see no blue skies. It’s just...dark panels, about a yard away from the fence. These panels arch up and cover the entire sky, like a huge dome encapsulating the park. They have screens, but...well, those are all shattered now. The blue sky, the lush fields...it was all an illusion? Had they really been deprived of sun for that long? It...it had felt so real, even though it was so cold…
The Stagelights - Makeshift stagelights have been placed every five feet in the park, illuminating the areas in a much more ominous way. As Monokuma grumbled, “shouldn’t’a broken the fucking LED sky.”
THE NURSE’S OFFICE
Book on Radiation - The book talks about radiation’s effects...death, disfigurement, insanity, and a bunch of other truly horrific things. Life expectancy varies depending on the amount of radiation. ~2 years for being in a ~10 km blast radius. At that radius, 12 months is the average time before issues become outwardly noticeable and prevalent. No cure has been found.
THE MAGIC CASTLE
The Mannequin - On the back of one of the mannequins’ heads, you find a code etched in roughly. “(17-1)/2=Truth”
The Party Photo - A photo of the seventeen members of Monoworld, at a cute little dorm party. Ignia and Taro are laughing jovially as they clink glasses of some sparkling yellow liquid. Adrianna holds out her hand with a sly smile as Willow approaches her, and you can see Saoirse looking jealous behind him. Near them is a vase of weird-looking red flowers, on Mariko’s nightstand. Alexia is yelling at Daisuke as he glides around the room on his board, her whistle in her mouth. Shiro sits in the corner looking away from everyone, facing the wall as he scribbles something on a notepad. Koji has an arm around Iocus, and his expression is...shit-faced drunk. Iocus is probably making some kind of joke, his mouth is open and he’s wearing his usual smirk. Nana is hoarding food off the table with glee and throwing some to Mamouro, and he looks nervous as he balances the ridiculous tower of meat. Mugen has looped his arms around a seated Joaquin, his expression blushing but content, while Joaquin wears a triumphant smile. Even then, his eyes had that ferocious quality. Root and Mariko stand in the center of all the action, their faces red but comforted with one another as they awkwardly dance in the midst of chaos. On the back, “MARIKO’S BIRTHDAY BASH” is written. Underneath the caption is a grumpy-sounding “She hosted it herself. > : (“ in Root’s handwriting.
The Flowers - When you all awoke, each student found a weird red flower laying on their nightstand. Attached is a note that reads, in curly and elegant font: “Good luck today~ Your life may well depend on if you can solve my clues.”
THE CAFE
The Teabags - Upon tearing open a teabag, you realize the leaves are actually...cut up red petals? That’s unusual, it wasn’t like that before. Do you think it’s safe to drink…?
Monokuma’s Existence - As you investigate, the bear passes you quickly with a blank expression. It gets you thinking...if the Mastermind was one of you, how was Monokuma being controlled when everyone was alive and together?
The Fridge - The fridge became so full after Root was executed. Monokuma really added lots of new stuff for every death. Hmm...but one shelf has been emptied. What was there before…?
The Pitcher - There’s a pitcher on the counter, and it’s...an odd red color. Seeing it almost makes you faint, for whatever reason. Maybe it’s just tomato juice or something? Upon closer investigation...there’s a tuft of white hair floating in it. OKAY, YOU CAN GO GET SICK NOW. No more Nana smoothies, please
MARIKO’S ROOM
The Camera - It’s the camera where Mariko recorded her...her suicide video. Before Root shot her. The video is still there, and it’s almost comforting to hear her voice again. There are several other videos on there, too. Video 001 is timestamped a few weeks ago, and it’s Mariko talking about Shiro’s death with grief choking her voice. There are other videos talking about Daisuke’s execution, Saoirse and Nana’s death, the blender, Joaquin and Adrianna’s deaths…
IGNIA’S ROOM
The Flower - Ignia’s room is the only one without a flower.
The Lighter Collection - Ignia’s lighters are pretty neatly lined up, but one is missing. Where did it go…?
ADRIANNA’S ROOM
The Bouquet - A bouquet of vibrant red Kravenski flowers lay on Adrianna’s nightstand. How are they still alive? ...Upon further inspection, they’re actually just plastic. Oh, Adri...You prick your thumb on one of the fake thorns, and you feel dizzy for a minute. Whoooaahh...Those flowers are dangerous.
ROOT’S ROOM
Root’s Journal Entry - You find one of Root's many journals, laying on his desk. It seems he didn't take this one to trial. Maybe he was trying to forget something? You flip through to see his daily notes, and you may feel bad for prying into a dead man's thoughts, but on the final page, something catches your eye. The page looks tear-stained. So you read it, scribbled out in messier handwriting than the rest of the journal.
"I've killed them all. Do I regret it? I cannot say. After seeing Mugen scream and plead I find myself feeling empty inside. Do I truly care about human life? Was he even human after that display? I find myself… almost thrilled, but scared as well. The experiment was riveting, but I find myself scared at the emotions I face now when I think back to it. I want to do it again. However, this exhilaration is also met with extreme sadness, grief, and guilt as not long prior to this, I ended the life of the girl I loved the most. What's wrong with me? I didn't feel that same exhilaration when I pulled that trigger. Just the opposite: I lost a piece of me. If I get out of here… the cost… Will I lose myself as I did with Mugen? Or will I lose myself as I did with Mariko? I’m sorry. I’m sorry everyone, but I will do what I must to save everyone here. I will save everyone, for no matter the outcome, I have already lost myself. I have nothing more to lose."
TARO’S ROOM
The Plans - Taro’s murder plans lay on his bed, unused but ominous. If it wasn’t for Ken...he would’ve succeeded. ...But would that have been so bad?
Taro’s Map - Hmmm...it says where the Mastermind is. But not who they are. Not even Taro knew, apparently.
SHIRO’S ROOM
The Toolkit - Opening Shiro’s drawer, you find a toolkit no one had found during the first investigation. Probably for fixing his robo-body?
The Apples - God, this room is filthy. Nobody cleaned out the apple cores, and they’re all rotting…
His Notebook - Shiro’s notebook, full of equations. One page is blank sans one word. “Mizuki….”
SANTA’S CABIN
The Present - Oh my gosh, what a cute box! What kind of horrifying fucking discovery was waiting in this fucker? A time bomb? Upon opening the gift...WOAH CONFETTI. Suddenly, as the confetti shoots out, a tiny children’s chorus belts out “WE WISH YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS, WE WISH YO--”
You found...six skulls. You couldn’t prepare yourself for that kind of horror. The inside had a note: “Meet your six survivors of the Beta Game! They were beeeeeary bad though. They didn’t vote right, and we were low on time. So I gave ‘em despair disease and lots of weapons, woo!” The skulls are all labeled. “Alicia Van Resendaal”, there’s cracks in her eye socket area. “Killed by fishing hook-related facial and brain trauma.” What the fuck. “Wentworth Root”, ...Root’s dad. “Killed by exsanguination via amputation of the hands.” Ugh. Wait, what? This one is a deer skull. “Mugen’s Deer”. No shit. “Killed via butchering. Steaks were delicious!” The next one was pretty much undamaged. “Anatol Kravenski. Killed via ingestion of Kravenski flowers.” The next one was...baaaaad. “Ishida Amano.” The skull was haphazardly glued together in probably thirty spots. “Killed via skull being forced into Compactincinerator several times. ...Steaks were well-done!” The final one...it was odd seeing her without her purple hair. Or her skin, or her face, but y’know. Nitpicking. “Mizuki Suzuki. Killed via exsanguination due to chainsaw-induced divorce of lower body and upper body, with annullment in progress.” That skull had a single crack in the skull, but that’s it. Probably when she fell.
The Reindeer - A fake stuffed deer head is mounted on the wall, jingles bells wrapped around its horns. Oh. Huh. Those antlers look real. ...And the skull in the box didn’t have antlers.
THE HOLIDAY PLAZA
The Loose Brick - Wow, the fun never ends when you’re not having any! As you wander the Holiday Plaza, you trip and fall over a loose gold brick in the ground...After pulling it up, you discover another photo. This one shows Ignia and Iocus, smirking as they fire guns loaded with mercury at people in jumpsuits. Dead bodies litter the ground, the only two in focus being a burly man and what looks like a prostitute. Standing in the distance is Alexia, jumpsuit-clad and donning a large riot-shield.
The Train - Oh, gee. Thanks, Monokuma! As you watch the large train circle the plaza again, you see each seat is filled with a seated mannequin dressed as each of your dead friends. Shiro has his throat slit, Tamashi’s head is dented in almost completely, Daisuke only has half a mannequin taped to the seat, Adrianna looks ghost-white, Joaquin looks like Pinhead, Saoirse’s mannequin is disassembled, Nana’s has needle marks all over it, Mamouro’s is bullet-riddled, Mariko’s looks like the bullet-hell version of Passion of the Christ with her right temple dented in, Mugen’s mannequin is actually an anatomical model (what the fuck.), and Taro’s is dressed with red horns and KISS facepaint...and the diaper.
THE SNOWBALL FIELD
The Geiger Counter - A little device is stuck in the snow...it’s a Geiger counter, woah! What does it say…? Oh. Um. It reads “off the scale” and a bunch of scales on it are going nuts. That’s...it’s probably just defective, probably, possibly, hopefully, maybe.
THE ROLLERCOASTER
The Stuffed Corpse - It feels like you can’t go a week without seeing the purple-haired girl who met her untimely death before the Killing Game started. But there’s Mizuki Suzuki. The coaster has been riding constantly, and sparks are flying off the tracks now. Her stuffed body, sewed at the waist, is strapped in tightly. But every time it goes by, you see...a paper?
The Photo - After gathering enough courage, you reach into the coaster and nearly get your hand ripped off as you snatch the paper. The coaster, of course, flies off as usual. The photo depicts Willow, Ken, Mugen, and Daisuke all suiting up in matching jumpsuits. The “FF” is engraved as usual. Shirtless Willow is a nice bonus to that picture.
THE FOUNTAIN
The Photo (again) - Wow, this is on good paper. It stayed intact underwater! This photo shows...Koji, firing a round into some random FF member. Behind him stands Nana with a megaphone, seemingly using it to command Monobots.
The Other Photo - A 2-for-1?! What kind of deal was this?! Well, anyway...the photo depicts Joaquin, blindfolded as he strangles a man in black robes. What’s with the blindfold, dude? Ohhhh, right. Justice is blind, yada yada. In the background, a woman with light blue hair is rushing towards him...is that Adrianna? And she’s wearing a jumpsuit.
The HPA Folder - It’s a couple papers, each with brief descriptions of seventeen HPA students.
STUDENT ASPIRATIONS:
Ignia: “T’see what happens when it all falls apart, yaknow?”
Alexander: “To surpass the greatest scientists in history.”
Adrianna: “To create something truly…wonderful.”
Willow: “To have a little fun and see where I go.”
Iocus: “I’unno. You ever hear the joke about the reporters that asks too many questions, Alicia?”
Shiro: (refused to comment)
Daisuke: “To just keep getting better. Teach everyone some flip tricks, hehe!”
Tamashi: “To figure out just how everyone on this Earth ticks.”
Taro: “Not die.”
Joaquin: “To denounce the evils, of truth and love...my apologies, I wanted to quote that.”
Mariko: “I wanna make the best documentary ever! Heh…”
Koji: “I wanna shoot stuff. Not people, I swear!”
Mamouro: “Keep on honin’ my hands, gettin’ better.”
Saoirse: “What’s it to ya? Oi, but I guess I wanna parkour across the biggest building in the world.”
Nana: “I wanna voice for Funimation! Just kidding. Who would ever want that?”
Alexia: “I want to make things right. Even if it takes...any means necessary.”
Mugen: “To create a world where people and nature live in beautiful, synchronous harmony.”
THE CHURCH
The Tabernacle - Opening the golden tabernacle, you see a photo taped to the back...it’s Tamashi, in his FF jumpsuit. His eyes are full of fear as he cleans a silvery liquid off Taro’s face. The latter looks shell shocked, perhaps even...resigned.
THE THEATRE
The DVD Case: “Memoirs of a Geisha, Jujubee’s Journey: I’m Still Here!” - Opening the case left on the floor, you find two things: A DVD entitled “BETA FAREWELLS”, and a photo.
“BETA FAREWELLS” - Popping the DVD into the projector, you watch as the screen roars to life. It wastes no time, that’s for sure. A video of Wendy’s body, a panoramic shot as Cryos stabs her to death. A jump cut to Cryos’ execution, as his body is chopped up by the ice chisel and turned into the ice sculpture swan. Jump to Dana’s horrified expression as a spear launches across the park and slides through her chest like butter. Meanwhile, Goro awakens from his drug-induced slumber, lifts his hand, and his head is enveloped by an octopus before he can react. It’s a swift, suffocating death. Cut to Demetra’s execution. She jumps and twirls through rings of fire with effortless grace and a horrifying chuckle, until the final ring. She doesn’t quite make the distance, falling for a few seconds before landing on a floor of clown horns. That must’ve been the summoning sound for the circus lions...ugh. Honk honk, indeed. Cut to the pounding of nails, as Emiko fixes Karen’s weakly struggling body to a cross in the Church. No cut as Evelyn walks in, not a good enough runner to escape Emiko taking a hammer to her skull. Cut to Emiko being dropped into a hollow copper Buddha statue...that rapidly heats up. As a tea-kettle-boiling sound pierces the silence, a rainbow mushroom cloud shoots out of the Buddha’s skull, eventually forming the words “NIRVANA REACHED!” Cut to Yamato slipping some kind of clear marbles into Nanami’s drink...and then a cut to her choking in her room, dying alone and with her door locked. Cut to Hotaru strangling Rosaire with a thick rope in the Saloon. Cut to...the ensuing trial? Oh god. The innocent all vote wrong. Hotaru..votes Alicia as Nanami’s killer. Yamato votes Mizuki as Rosaire’s killer. Everyone is being punished…?! Cut to the park. They’re set free to roam it once more, but their eyes are crazed and their faces are bright red. Weapons have been placed everyone, conveniently. ...The ensuing bloodbath is truly horrific. End film.
The Photo in the Case - Mariko is shown wielding a mercury gun, hatred in her eyes as she sprays down a group of people. Some of them...look like civilians. Nearby, Mamouro is beating and killing Future Foundation agents who are trying to intercept the duo. A third person, an older man, stands in the background, holding a large briefcase that he holds up to repel debris. The case appears to have a B stamped into it, covered with blood and rubble by now.
THE MUSEUM OF MURDER
The Bodies - The bodies are in some kind of gel. They look just as they did the day they died..the sign says they’re in “Stasis Gel”. Weird…
Shiro’s Body - Various sizes of dents to metallic body. Covered in maroon sheen of blood. Throat has been slit wide. Black eye.
Tamashi’s Body - Large dent in skull. Hair is stained red with blood. Tear in pants reveal scrape on knee. Face has a few minor scratches. Glass is lodged into his stomach, chest, and face.
Daisuke’s Body - Pretty much unharmed...besides the fact that he’s been bisected. His body’s been sewn together, but blood stains the seam and the gel is slightly dyed red.
Adrianna’s Body - She looks so peaceful...like Sleeping Beauty. Body unharmed. Died via sleep deprivation.
Joaquin’s Body - Head is slightly misshapen, face is covered in deep needle marks. Eyes were destroyed by needles.
Saoirse’s Body - Sewn together in many locations. Blood on seams, and right arm is incredibly damaged from being eaten by aquatic life. Body is bloated. Puncture wound in left leg.
Nana’s Body - Lol she’s literally a smoothie in a can. You’d laugh out loud too, if you weren’t busy holding back your vomit!
Mamouro’s Body - Four gunshot wounds in thigh, stomach, and temple. The lower shots are in a straight line. #thanksformissingthecrotch
Mugen’s Body - Charred and in pieces. He’s...pretty much very thoroughly dead.
Mariko’s Body - A gunshot wound is prominent on her forehead. Her left temple is bruised, with a lot of blood.
Taro’s Body - Eyes are still open wide in shock...or maybe mockery. Singular bullet wound in between eyes, exiting out the back of his head.
Ken’s Body - He’s...barely recognizable. His body has been pecked so badly that little remains. Skeleton with half his body left, basically...
Root’s Body - Charred black, beaten and bruised severely from explosions.
Koji’s Body - Koji’s ankle is twisted severely. There’s a small hole in his left leg, and his finger is broken. His scalp is cut up and bloody. His throat has been slit.
Alexia’s Body - There’s a gaping hole where one of her eyes was. Knees are bloody and bruised. Her left arm has a deep gash. There’s a hole in her chest, from where a robot pierced her ribcage.
