Brunhild got up with a great mood, changed her clothes, took a shower and drank a coffee from thermos she took yesterday from the kitchen. It could be said that it was a great start of the day for her, except the fact that she was participating in a Killing Game. As always she went downstairs to get some breakfast, entering the kitchen she made herself a small fruit salad, a glass of juice with some alcohol mixed into it. Brunhild had never ever drunk alcohol before and was curious enough to give it a try since it was something she had never experienced. Taking all that she went to the dining area in hopes of meeting somebody to talk to.

After entering In the dining area, Brunhild put all her food onto the table and started eating her salad and took a sip out of the glass with alcohol. The expression on her face immediately became displeased from the bitterness of her "cocktail". "Why do people even enjoy drinking this?" loudly said Brunhild putting away her drink and accidentally spilling it on the table. She all of a sudden stood up to make sure that none of the drink will be on her with a disgusted yet a bit scared look on her face and left to the kitchen to get some tissues to clean it up. Coming back with some tissues she started cleaning it up and mumbling to herself "Ughhh...sooo...disgusting...ugh". After being done she sat down on one of the chairs and leaned back in her chair as if she was waiting for something to occur.

Koneko had heard the strange sound from outside the dining hall, and peered in to check it out. The sound had been something like... Spilling? By the time she poked her head into the room, she spotted another student--what was her name? Right, Brunhild Kurth--cleaning up a spilled mess. Her adept sensors immediately picked up the harsh tang of alcohol.

For a moment, Koneko's mind screeched to an abrupt halt. That smell... It reminded her so much of that time. In her mind she could still see the scene as clear as day--the dark, dilapidated apartment, the shades drawn and the whole place reeking of bitter alcohol and the smell of a fresh cor--

She cut herself off with an abrupt shaking of her head before those thoughts could go any further. Now wasn't the time for that particular brand of utter meltdown.

But... There was one thing that concerned her. There are many who consume alcohol for fun, simply for it's flavor or relaxing effects, but there are many who drink it in order to... Well, 'drink away their problems', so to speak. It's a wildly unhealthy practice, and so the fact that a fellow contestant may be experiencing such feelings left a sour taste in Koneko's mouth.

And so, taking a deep breath to steel herself, Koneko took a step into the room, pulling a carefree and soft smile to her face. "Hello there, Miss Kurth! How are you holding up today?"

While sitting on her seat Brunhild was playing with a spoon, trying to spin it between her fingers. A smell of alcohol was slowly filling her lungs, slowly poisoning with her with its properties. The smell of it was not as bad as its taste, it was even described as somewhat attractive. But she remembered that alcohol fumes might be poisonous from the magazine she read before and tried to move to somewhere else. And when she stood up and turned around she saw a girl standing right in front of her with a greeting smile.
Brunhild got a bit spooked from her sudden appearance. Was she always here? And who was it? Oh yes, Koneko was it?. Brunhild smiled back and replied to her answer "Ah, you got me a bit scared...Kikaimoto-san. Is that how you say it in Japanese? Anyway, I am good today, thanks for asking that Koneko. These days mental health is important..." Brunhild's voice became quieter and quieter. Shortly after, she snapped back to her senses and said "Ah...Enough about me, how about you?"
