After the announcement that a class trial will be held, Brunhild, Liam, Dorothy, and Nox agreed to form a team to investigate the mansion for any evidence that might possibly be. Brunhild was a bit hesitant as to where to go since a killer might have been in her group trying to mislead them, but something was telling her that she shouldn't doubt anyone on her group for some reason.
And after having a small discussion as for where they should go decided to go to the Right Closet on the first floor. Why did they choose to go here? Was it because it was probably most unused place in the whole mansion? Or was it because the left one was closed, making this closet a mystery? But no matter what was the reason Brunhild and her "team" were already near the door to the closet. As they arrived there, Brunhild asked her group about the concerns "Don't you guys find it a bit strange that the victim was someone who wasn't even supposed to be here in the first place?"

Dorothy looked around the closet herself after partnering up. There were a few people left to guard the body so as to not let the potential killer mess with the evidence on the body.
The Polyglot nodded to Brunhild's question. "Yeah, it's strange, isn't it? And the killer has to be one of us remaining twenty participants, right? I'm sure we'll uncover the truth if we explore diligently."
She decided to look around the closet, making notes in her head about everything that could look important.

I kind of expected a storage closet to smell worse than this. It smells like oranges in here. I like it. No, I have to focus on the investigation.
"Y-Yeah, Excrest was supposed to be at home, safe from this tragedy, and now she's... gone. Someone went out of their way to go and murder her, and attack Kris. I don't want to believe that someone here had that kind of ill-intent."
But it has to be the truth. Someone here was so desperate to get out of here that they killed someone and nearly killed someone else. Or maybe that wasn't the goal?
"Actually Dorothy, I've been thinking and what if it wasn't one of us twenty contestants? I mean, our v-victim wasn't supposed to be here, so what's preventing the killer from being unaffiliated with us? Even if it seems a bit crazy, I think we should still accept that as a possibility."
That theory is mostly me not wanting to believe that one of us could possibly cause harm to another, but it's still possible. However, the 'motives' we got would set the stage for one of us being the killer. It wouldn't make sense for someone to break in and kill someone else who had broken in, unless that someone didn't want the other person to get in here. As far-fetched as this all seems, it very well could be the case.
And with that, Liam started to investigate the closet, particularly on the items on the shelves.

I don't think one of us did it, honestly. How could they have even known Excrest was here, like you said? It just... does not line up to me, I guess.
