The kitchen is bound to have all sorts of clues. I mean, this place just seems so full of danger. Looking past the obvious, like knives, who knows what could be hidden here? Maybe the bear has already hidden tools for murder in the manor? This kitchen is probably full of poisons and things like that. Not to mention that you could probably produce a flame pretty easily here too. I just wish I knew more about this.
Alright, let's think of the murder like this. Why would the killer have any reason at all to come down to the kitchen? With a mindset like that, maybe we'll get closer to finding whoever did this. Maybe they came to find a weapon? But the cause of death right now looks like the blow to her head, so it's likely not anything in here. If you went to the kitchen looking for a weapon, you would definitely grab a knife. Maybe Kris was attacked with one? I'd hate to bring up past pain, but we kind of need to in order to find the truth.
"So, why do you guys think the k-killer chose Excrest as a target? I'm sure that it would be a lot easier to fight someone that you've already spent some time with, someone whose actions you might be able to judge a bit first. It's a lot easier to predict the f-fighting style of someone you know over someone you don't. What I'm thinking is that this was a heat of the moment type of killing. Not something that was p-planned."
That might explain why Kris was hurt too. Maybe he walked in on the murder happening, and the killer tried to kill him too. There are so many possibilities right now. Might as well look for clues to help cut some of those possibilities down.

The kitchen... A clichéd place to look for murder weapons, Dorothy thought, but nevertheless, she went to work.
She then replied to Liam's questions.
"I think it'd be for the surprise effect. Given that this was supposed to be a reality TV gameshow setting in the first place, I do believe that the bear just looked for a big first twist in this killing game, and that twist turned out to be the death of a person who was not accepted by the casting. I mean, it was effective, wasn't it? I like to think that several of us have been surprised by what happened, me included."
She thought for a moment. "And the killer's one of us, unless Excrest ended her own life or she broke the rules, which would both be valid actions."
She continued to speak. "If you spend a lot of time training to fight the same person, then you'll learn about what they're going to do next, but in turn, they will know what you're going to do next. I think it'd be harder to fight against someone who never had any training before, because you can't know what your opponent's going to do next."
The Polyglot then wordlessly continued the investigation.

We're so close
To something better left unknown.
We're so close.
To something better left unknown.
I can feel it in my bones.

There are all sorts of things we could find in the kitchen. It's practically a treasure trove of potential weapons. Anything in here could have been used to kill Excrest. Even that thing on the counter. That seems suspiciously out of place, let's take a look at it. I can feel us getting closer to solving this mystery.

Much like Liam, the Polyglot took a good look at the item on the counter. She wondered if it truly helped their situation as their time was running out, second by second.
