The porch was quiet, which was likely why Koneko was there at all. Before, she used to find buzzing activity fun, as long as it didn't devolve into complete chaos, but now it was simply annoying. It slowed down her processors and simply made assessing situations much more difficult for her mind. Zap. Koneko winced as a spark leapt out of her broken 'ear'. Truthfully, the headphone-like devices on her head had nothing to do with hearing, and more to do with processors on her brain. The left one was logic and problem solving, and the right one was emotion. It's almost needless to say it was the right one that she had broken. Broken, yes, but not completely non-functioning. Damn it all, even after that, she could still feel, and it hurt. It was less of a searing pain now, and more of a soft, numbing throb, but it was there. Looking down a bit, she covered the broken device with her hand, hoping to push the cover back on it slightly. It'd been shooting off sparks every now and then ever since she'd broken it, which would almost definitely come back to bite her soon enough. She sighed, taking in slow, deep breaths of cool air to soothe the building heat in her core, while adjusting her coat and holding it closed slightly with her other hand. This coat... Well, it was one of his, he'd never really wore it (all the ones he wore often smelled... bloody, which was something that she didn't want to be sensing all the time) so... She'd quietly taken it from his room after the trial had ended. Just one thing--one little thing to remember the one person who made her feel like a human being. you cant wake up - this is not a dream

► Yuichiro Yuuki 303 N/a | First thing Yuichiro did after leaving his room was setting out for the kitchen to get a bottle of water. It was unbelievable how easily one could forget to take care of themselves when they were under pressure. People like, needed water to function, you know. After that, he began to roam across the main hall, towards the left porch. He didn't intend to run into that girl, the porch was just a nice place to unwind for a bit. Unwinding would be the last thing the singer would be able to do when he entered the little space.
"O-Oh. Sorry, I didn't expect..." He sputtered out when he made his entrance. Had it been anyone else, he would not have been bothered or even all that worried of disturbing them. This was her though. "...Hey, Koneko." He cleared his throat and averted his gaze a bit. Guilt and anxiety filled in where his normal bravado or benevolence would normally shine. After all, he had been one of the people to vote for Ren. And for all he knew, this girl was not the Koneko he had met with Caelie.
After pausing, he spotted something out of his peripheral. Tiny sparks spewing from frayed and ripped wiring on her right earp-- Okay, well they clearly weren't headphones on second thought. Yuichiro vividly remembered the harsh sound that came when the girl broke that thing off. Her words afterwards only cemented how terrible it was in his mind. Crossing his arms, he tried to look at her with a bit more confidence. "Does that.. Hurt? Physically, I mean."
It only hit him after the words left his mouth how damn rude that must've been. But, did it matter? For once, he'd hope someone would take offense to something he said. But, that was unlikely.

Yuichiro Yuuki, Aspiring Ultimate Singer, interacted with twice, once alongside Caelie Ariane.
With that identification out of the way, Koneko turned around to face him. "...Hello, Yuuki." Her voice was flat as usual. "Do you need something from me?"She was caught slightly off-guard as he asked about her processor, and she brought a hand up to it again. "I used to be able to feel pain in my simulation of human emotions, like having a stomach churn with nerves or a chest ache with sorrow, but I no longer feel like that. I have been getting error messages from this processor since it broke, which I guess could be likened to a pain response."Koneko looked him up and down, her static-filled eyes scrutinizing him. "You are nervous and appear to be rather jumpy, as if you are caught between your fight or flight response. You are second guessing your decision to speak to me. Am I wrong?" you cant wake up - this is not a dream

► Yuichiro Yuuki 304 have you ever been in love with a toaster? | Koneko sure was earning her new, self proclaimed title as the Ultimate Robot. It wasn't a very good achievement at all in Yuichiro's mind. With obvious discomfort, he scratched his nose and let his gaze drift from her for a moment, his honey colored eyes showing a bit of sadness. "No, I don't need anything. Just sorta walked in on you is all." This was actually a little awkward. He couldn't quite make eye contact very easily, considering her eyes were not too different from an old CRT on a dead channel.
Even hearing her describe what should be physical pain as just simulated and error messaging was surreal. To be fair, has your microwave ever looked exactly like a human? No, that wasn't fair. She wasn't always so robotic. "So.. You really did sorta kill your emotions, huh? ...I'm sorry." He was getting a little more used to looking at her directly. She was cute before. Hell, still was, freaky eyes aside.
The former councilor saw through him like a wet white shirt. Nodding lightly, he leaned against the wall on his shoulder. "You're not wrong. It's a little weird talking to you right now. But, I was curious how you were doing, I guess." Clearly she was doing fine. Okay. Completely down the middle, neutral state of being it seemed. It was an unnatural state for a person to be in. "I was worried about you after the trial. What happened.. I know it's not easy, trust me. I didn't expect you to suddenly change like that though. Glad you're... Alive, though." He wasn't quite sure 'okay' worked. He paused for a long moment. Yikes, how are you supposed to talk to this chick? "If only they were quicker." He muttered under his breath, obviously referencing Future Foundations failure to rescue them.

"I've spent so much of my life trying to become more human, helping the scientists who built me to better simulate a human mind and everything it feels." She shook her head sadly. "Now... I don't know why I wasted the effort. Emotions are a curse that humans are forever unable to escape. I was lucky enough to have them all centralized in a processor. There is nothing, now. I am... Completely empty."Of course, something in that statement was a blatant contradiction to itself. It was brief and nearly impossible to hear, but there was a hint of sadness in her words. "Was it not always strange to talk to me? I'm just a machine, after all. It's all I was even before the trial. Even when you didn't know... Speaking to me must have felt unnatural." Despite the self-deprecating words, her voice remained neutral, betraying no underlying feelings. "That is, also, why you shouldn't waste your time worrying about me. I cannot feel pain, sorrow, or grief. By all definitions, I am, and always will be, 'okay'."However... When the foundation was brought up, suddenly everything changed. It was like the temperature around Koneko dropped by ten degrees. She went completely stiff, lacking the natural shifting movements she'd had before. "...Nobody is coming to save us, Yuuki. From the very beginning, we were just the playthings of the foundation. Even now they're simply toying with us until we die, like a cat with a beaten mouse. Ren was brainwashed by them, that's why he... he could kill on command."One didn't need to listen very closely to hear the emotion leaking into her voice. It was pure, deathly cold rage. you cant wake up - this is not a dream

► Yuichiro Yuuki 409 Sorry if their conversation is getting a little jumbled. If you want to focus on just one, that's okay! Your go! | Something certainly felt off about Koneko's words. Aside from the fact that this girl was clearly on a different end of the spectrum from when he last spoke to her, hearing her talk like this was just plain unnatural. And, though he wasn't the best at reading people, he could feel a twinge of sadness emanating off of her. The smallest spark. It could have been his imagination, but in a way, he hoped he was right. "Well. Even if you are empty, I hope someday you'll find your emotions again." Breathing in deeply, he looked out towards the back yard for a moment. "I mean, personally I don't think it suits you too well. And yeah, I know emotions make us weaker, but... I'd rather die than feel empty, personally." Pausing a moment, he looked at her again. "This sure ain't a cheery conversation, huh?"
Oddly enough, Koneko's next question evoked a chuckle from the singer. It probably looked really weird, and he was sure to cover his mouth and attempt to hold it in. Albeit, in vein. "Nope. 'Fraid you're way off the mark, Koneko. Talking to you was pretty normal and even nice." It was no lie. She seemed soft spoken, but hell, a lot of people were. The only thing that could give her away was her constant use of headphones and odd face. Maybe if she had guns for fingers, he could actually tell something was off. "Despite all the robot terminology you're throwing right now, you actually still sound human. Albeit, a very... Er, I guess apathetic person."
Or a depressed person pushing their emotions away. His voice held its own sadness and a perceptive eye could spot the slightest hint of a grimace. He was familiar with that feeling. Wounds took time to heal, and the scar on his hand was a strong physical reminder of that.
Koneko's sudden emotional response to the F-Words took him by surprise. Maybe he wasn't a skilled councilor, but he could definitely sense her emotions shifting. Hell, more like he could sense she was feeling something. Her words were fierce, like they cut through the air itself. Raising his guard a bit, he stared into the static. "To be honest, I'm pretty sure the Foundation is useless at this point, but.." The boy felt he had to choose his words very carefully, to avoid a rocket punch in his face. "You think it was their fault?"

"Ren never told me much of his past. All I know is... Something horrible happened to him. From that mockery of an execution, I have a feeling it was something to do with war efforts, but I'm not sure." She shook her head, sighing. "All I know is that the Future Foundation took him in, and he insisted that they 'saved' him, even though... From what I could gather, they made him hurt someone he cared about. Perhaps... they even made him kill them."The aura around her prickled with animosity again. "If anyone had the resources and the opportunity to brainwash him like he was... It must have been them. They taught him to... to 'execute'." you cant wake up - this is not a dream

► Yuichiro Yuuki 227 Late, sorry! | Execute... Just one of the words that were now haunting, and not because of that gruesome 'punishment.' Though, to be fair, that in particular was one of the worst things he's ever seen. But it's horror couldn't really compare to Ren himself, how he subtly started talking on a dulled one word basis. Even though Ren was the first suspect in his mind, which turned out to be right, Yuichi still felt guilty. It wasn't right. Even if Ren may have had some buried desire to kill someone, that didn't make brainwashing justifiable.
"I mean, we can't deny he was brainwashed, but... Why would Future Foundation do that?" Koneko couldn't hide it. He knew he saw it this time, he was sure! She felt something... Hatred was still an emotion. "I mean, they sure had the resources, but... That's more than twisted; like something the Ultimate Despair would have done." If Koneko was right, it could mean some unsettling things for the world they lived in.
Gritting his teeth, he felt anger building inside himself as well. "Dammit. They can brainwash people, but they can't keep crime at bay in the tiny world they left us. Fucking great." That was terribly specific. If she was still a councilor.. "...You knew him best, Koneko. If you believe that's how it happened, then who am I to dispute you."

"I knew him best... Did I really...?" The tension in the air around Koneko melted away, leaving something much more somber behind. "Truth be told... He is the reason I gave up my talent. I was closer to him than anyone else here, and yet... I couldn't help him. He never let me get close enough to figure out exactly what was wrong."She looked up, her static-filled gaze piercing through Yuichiro's. "Perhaps it is best this way. An 'ultimate counsellor' wouldn't be able to do what I am going to do now." She stood up a bit straighter, determination cutting through her neutral expression. "I believe the Future Foundation are the ones responsible for locking us up in here. To anyone who may still be listening to what we're saying in this 'game'... I formally accuse them of the murder of Elanor Attaway and Ren Umeki." you cant wake up - this is not a dream someone's eager to get shut down huh koneko

► Yuichiro Yuuki 394 longboi/Was that treason? | "Not everyone is willing to open up in a day. But out of all of us, I think you could've helped... Had we gotten more time." There was no guarantee of that, truthfully. It was simply an idealist mindset speaking. If they had more time, that particular tragedy could have been averted. Or if Liam had heard them, but he couldn't be blamed for that.
Her next words caught his attention. What she was.. about to do? His fist clenched tight and he mentally prepared himself for an attack. Not that he didn't trust her, but he did fear that letting his guard down would get him killed. Instead of moving however, Koneko simply dawned a determined face and spoke. Her words were... Shocking. And bold. The fact that she could say that would almost be inspiring to him had it not have only been for her mistake earlier. "That's bold. Sounds like a thing someone would say before getting disappeared..." Well, he just showed how much he trusted their 'leaders.' To be fair, even if Koneko was wrong, it was pretty disgusting that they would call themselves the future and let this atrocity occur.
Letting his muscles relax, he stood there silently for a long moment, before finding the words he wanted to say. "I'll stand with you. If you're willing to accuse them of this, then I am too." Part of him just didn't want her to be alone in this. Another part was floored by her and willing to believe her. Hell, Future Foundation would have the resources. "Wouldn't sit right with me if I stood by while they played with our lives. Besides..." With a malcontented expression, he sighed. "Even if they aren't responsible for this.. They nuked the world to end Despair. They.. took that world from us and left this small slice where they have absolute control. And if they can't prevent a killing game in that scenario, then... It does make them look pretty bad, doesn't it?"
Koneko may have been right. He wasn't sure which option was worse, in all honesty. Either way, he really wondered if Future Foundation had any reason to still be in control anymore. Subconsciously, the singer started fidgeting with the silver ring on his right hand. Looking behind him, he bit his lip a bit. "Do.. try to stay safe, Koneko."

Predictive technology was becoming more and more powerful by the day. Using that technology, Koneko was given the ability to sense and judge what might happen in a given situation. From there, she can analyze her options and pick out a suitable response. But even the most powerful technology could not have predicted Yuichiro's response. She had figured his response would be something like fear, or betrayal--but never support. For a moment, she was speechless, her processors whirring to re-route dialogue options. Yuichiro agreed with her. He supported her. That... was a feeling she'd never thought she would have again. And then... Koneko smiled, the dullest response of happiness coming through frayed wires and cracked circuitry. "I see. I suppose I may have been wrong about you. My initial judgement had you pegged as someone always licking the heels of the foundation... I apologize for that assumption."
"...The foundation stole our world... I wonder how much truth is in those words. I wonder if the world outside the bubble we've been given is truly as uninhabitable as they say..." She let out a sigh, loaded with conflicting emotions on all sides. "It has been... enlightening to speak with you, Yuuki. I hope we will have the chance to speak again soon."
With that, Koneko Kikaimoto, the robot declaring war on the Future Foundation, parted ways with her first--and perhaps only--supporter. you cant wake up - this is not a dream
