I AM NOT A BAD BEAR even though i do bad things VERY BAD THINGS such horrible things “Ahem, ahem; is this thing on?” Well...this wasn’t the usual morning announcement. The ear-splitting shrill screech that followed those words was anything but typical...thankfully. “We interrupt your scheduled programming--sorry, Ms. Kikaimoto--to present a beary special present for you all! And it’d be quite polar of you to miss this, so attendence is...mandatory. Please report to the Living Room!”With the bear’s odd tone hanging in the air, what could you do except follow his commands? After all, you knew the consequences. Ren knew the consequences. Would anyone else learn them personally? In droves, the contestants made their way down to the first floor (if they were, indeed, sleeping in their rooms like good children) and gathered around the cozy, cushioned cubicle called the Living Room.It was a few drawn-out moments before the TV flickered to life. Before your eyes flashed a beautiful sight...one that may have shaken some of the contestants to the core. The camera panned across a sunny sky, lacking the giant glass shield placed over the New World Order. A gull flew by, cawing with saccharine delight. Its wing arced perfectly over the sun, and then dove down. The camera followed. Now the bird was flying low against a sandy beach, hovering inches above the finely gritted, golden sand. This sand looked...different from any beach in Little West Hollywood. It seemed more like the small samples of sand passed around in the few Old World museums in existence, glorious and buried. Next, the view panned to the sea. It glittered in the sun, sending little white flares into the screen, like precious diamonds. Waves lapped against the beach, dying parts of it a rich, solid brown. The bird continued on. Trees brushed past as the camera zoomed through a lush, dense rainforest. Dewdrops trickled from trees as small animals and various bugs flew, scampered, and wriggled by. It was...like something out of an Old World movie. A variety of warm-toned tents surrounding a large firepit; tiki torches planted by a giant wooden platform; a big house on stilted beams. Then, the title: “Welcome to Survivor Island! Surviving Contestants Welcome!” And then the screen began to loop the same video.“Seems...lovely, huh?” The bear waddled close behind the crowd, tilting his head. “Man, oh man, wouldn’t you kill to visit a place like that? A stuffy mansion just can’t compare! Buuut…” He laughed quietly, rubbing his ears bashfully. “...you guys already got to killing, so maybe I’ll treat you. In fact, I will! I’m not a Care Bear, but I sure am a fair bear! In return for taking two lives, you’re all getting…” His voice deepened, booming like a television announcer.“An all-expense paid trip to the lovely, the glorious, the free Survivor Island! This island features a multitude of conveniences designed to bring relaxation even to the tensest, most despair-filled teenagers! To accept, you just gotta…”Suddenly, a loud click sounded from one of the porches.“...get on the newly unlocked elevator! Isn’t it grand~? Oh, and don’t worry about your best friend not coming along--even if you’re afraid of seagulls, or harboring a secret, destructive envy for love on the beach, this trip is mandatory! I can’t leave my contestants to their own devices, y’know, or they might end up with knives in their eyes!” The bear mimiced stabbing his eyes and started to scream...which soon devolved in a gleeful laugh. “Puhuhuhuhu! So get on in!”… With no other choice, the contestants were forced into the newly opened room, which...was a really big elevator, apparently. There was even a couch in the middle, and a camera pointed at it, lodged above the door. Curiouser and curiouser. Thankfully (or unfortunately, depending on your point of view), Ai and Cheshire were nowhere to be found. And so...began the--oh my god.The elevator shook roughly, sending everyone to the ground..even Orica, which was a testament to its force. After a few seconds...it stopped. And so began the descent…...to Survivor Island.« tag: @all // notes: welcome to hell! welcome to hell! welcome to-- »

Good Meals, Good Friends, Good Laughs, Good Murders, What more could anyone want? There were a lot of questions circling Nero's head as he listened to Monokuma talk, but one stuck out in particular.
Why? questioned Nero as he got on the Elevator. This whole trip seemed... worthless. It didn't make sense for Monokuma to ditch his fortress before at least half of the group died... Unless he was either remodeling the Mansion, or... it was possible he was hesitant of Cheshire.
"Well... Hopefully this trip will put an ease on our minds..." said Nero hopefully as the rest of the students got on the Elevator. Despite everything, he was looking... forward to the trip. After all, he'd finally be in a place that's nice and hot, not this cool mansion nonsense. Furthermore, if it helped alleviate tensions, he couldn't complain. Hopefully Yuichiro would be happy with this trip...
"...When will this elevator stAART!?" shouted Nero as the elevator suddenly shot down, crumpling him to his legs. He could feel his right leg take the force a lot worse than his left.
"Ow..." complained Nero as he tried to get up, only to collapse again. It seems that he had hurt his right leg a bit. Hopefully a little bit of rest will do it good, but for now, he'd have to give it a bit of rest. With that, he slowly got up and went to the side of the Elevator, grabbing it for support. What a fine start for his tropical despair filled vacation... Nero the Happy Baker

"W-We're going to an island? How? I have a hard time believing that an elevator can take us to an island."
What is this bear's game? Suddenly we're being forced into an entirely new location for no apparent reason. Not to mention, that new location is an island. Out of every kind of place he could have chosen, he went with an island. Not exactly the easiest place to transport a group of 20- no, 19 people. It would require an insane amount of effort to not only get us there, but to find someplace uninhabited as well? Something's not right with this, aside from all the things that are wrong already.
"Woah, this thing looked a lot smaller on the out- oh no!"
Suddenly, the elevator started to shake, causing Liam to fall to the floor.
I feel a lot less safe in this thing than I did ten seconds ago. How are we going to go anywhere in this thing if it can't keep itself stable before it even starts moving? I hope the rest of the ride isn't like that. I can't help but feel like that was a bad omen.
Lets just focus on making sure nobody was hurt for now.
"Is e-everyone okay? No injuries too serious?"
Wait! Nero! I'm supposed to be his bodyguard! I know that couldn't have been easy on him. I should go see if he's okay.
Liam walked over to Nero to assess his condition and spoke to him in a quiet voice.
"Hey, you alright? Everything okay with, well, you-know-what?"

Good Meals, Good Friends, Good Laughs, Good Murders, What more could anyone want?
Nero tried to put pressure on his leg, but it was clear that it wanted to take a break, and Nero was happy to oblige. After all, it seemed like it would take a while to get to the beach, so he opted to sit down on the ground. While he was relaxing for the moment, Liam came over to the baker and asked if he was okay, earning a smile from the baker.
"I hurt the leg a bit on the fall, but that's what happens from standing at a bad angle I suppose. I'll hopefully be fine by tomorrow if I don't put too much pressure on it." whispered Nero with a pained smile. As painful as it was, it'd be a sore sight for the Ultimate Baker to be out from something as pathetic as this. He'd be fine... probably.
"If it's not too much trouble, can you make sure everyone else is okay? It looked like even Orica was brought down by that shake." asked Nero as he looked at the other contestants. Nero the Pained Baker

After a long time, Sanura finally had some hope in her eyes. Survivor Island. That means a lot of sun, more freedom, but most importantly, beaches chock full of sand! Sanura was probably one of the ones who entered the elevator as first. Despite all that had happened to them here yet, this has to have been the most peaceful event, right? In any case, Sanura was stoked to hear they were going to an island.
What she was wondering however was: How does an elevator lead to an island? She didn't get much time to think on that because before she knew it the rumble made her fall down flat on her back, her clothing sponging the fall if only a little.
"Ouch...that could've gone better..." Luckily she didn't get her clothes dirty, so that was a plus. After hearing what Nero said she replied with:
"I am alright, yet you seem to be quite in pain. Are you in need of assistance perhaps?" Ever so excited for the island, she couldn't just let one of her classmates sit there like that.

Irene frowned slightly. Vacation was not a word in her vocabulary. It was a word she knew of, but not one she made use of, and for what reason, really? There was always work to be done, and in order to remain the best, one must continue to practice their craft. Short respites throughout the day were necessary, of course, in order to maintain productivity and keep the mind in ideal condition to continue the task at hand. While this competition was a vacation of a sort, Irene had continued her work, even without customers to sell them to, and the mansion had proven a satisfactory change in environment. It was not her workshop, but it was a comfortable alternative for the time. Perhaps the change in environment was the reason for vacations, in which case, there was some merit to be found.
However, this new environment was an unfamiliar one, and an unwelcome one. The harsh light of the sun was nowhere to be found in her workshop, nor nor was it something she wished to seek out. The sun, likewise, did not seem especially interested in searching for her, and so this arrangement had kept their relationship a happy one up to this point in her life. It was questionable how the odious homunculus had even made such a thing possible to access with a single elevator, which was certainly an interesting feat of engineering in its own right, but she could not put her mind to that at the moment. There was some ulterior motive behind this for certain, whether to simply inconvenience them or to have the wildlife slaughter them all, and it would reveal itself in time. For now, all that Irene could do was wait.
She fell to the floor upon the shake of the elevator, but after a few seconds on the ground, sat up, stood, and dusted herself off, moving as mechanically as she'd done since they arrived. "I am uninjured, but unhappy. The introduction of this island cannot mean well."

"A beach... Awfully inconvenient. It seems I may have to clean my joints out more often..." Koneko sighed. "No matter. I feel as though we won't be given any sort of option in the matter."Koneko remained neutral throughout the entire trek, even as she was sent staggering to the ground, she simply sat up as if nothing of interest had even happened. She watched the other students groan and stumble with an expression less like concern, and more like one of a person who found a small dent in their car and was wondering where it came from. She didn't speak much throughout the entire ordeal, though she did mutter under her breath a bit here and there. "I hate sand... It's rough and coarse... and it gets everywhere..." you cant wake up - this is not a dream

► Yuichiro Yuuki N/a 259 This cynical attitude feels a little ooc but role with it pls. I'm just lazy. | While the video was certainly pretty, from a visual standpoint at the very least, Yuichiro found it somewhat in poor taste. The island was a beautiful site, and though he wasn't a film buff, he had to acknowledge the talent that went into filming it. It was like an old vacation ad. But why would the bear be showing them it? Why have them all gather in the living room for this shit? In an exasperated tone, he spoke while watching the video. "Can't that pest stay outta our hair for a while? Next thing you know, he'll have us do exercises." Though, he wouldn't mind seeing a few people work out.
His frustration only grew when that infernal little furry showed up to greet the group, speaking some nonsense. He stayed silent for a moment, though he was lowkey having fantasies of bowling. And using Monokuma as a bowling pin. "We didn't do anything but survive. Ren didn't even kill for the motive, remember?" He really didn't want to guess at the ulterior motive of this bear being "nice" and repaying them.
"Hey pal, the world was nuked, remember? Place like that won't exist for probably hundreds-- No, thousands of years." He felt bad saying it, but let's be realistic. An actual tropical paradise only twenty years after a full blown nuclear holocaust? Impossible. They were lucky to have this. Yet, it seemed Monokuma was insisting they get onto that elevator, so... Shrugging, he went along with it. Of course the elevator promptly knocked him down, dazing him. | |

Orica rose to her feet. This Elevator was surely a worthy opponent, but now was probably not the best time to try to fight it for daring to knock her down. After all, it was just an inanimate object so that would just be a bit petty. There was no need to fight the earth over an earthquake after all. It was merely a result of natural forces and she needed to survive them... although this train of thought is getting dangerously meta given the fact there's two more thread in ~the future~ I'm now retroactively foreshadowing to.
No, this was truly the next challenge from the bear and something she would survive. To not succumb to his attempts to get her to kill, not to be killed, and definitely not to fall to the weakness that is despair. There was probably nothing on this island paradise that would effect her in any of those ways, not even the paradise itself. It wasn't her restored Kingdom, so it was hardly a paradise for her.
Dang it I foreshadowed again.

After the entire bloody fiasco that was Ren and Excrest, Apollo didn't want to go through anymore of Monokuma's despair-inducing antics. He had desperately wanted absolutely nothing more than for everything to go back to the way it was supposed to be, when everyone was hopeful and everything made sense. But, of course, that was all before Apollo heard that dreaded bear's voice once more.
"Oh God..." Apollo said before getting up from his bed and tying up his hair into its usual ponytail. After that, he carefully made his way to the living room, knowing full well that he had no other choice, and that he would probably be punished if he refused to show up. This definitely wasn't the first killing game that had ever happened, and he knew damn well that the mastermind always had far more power than the unwilling participants could ever hope to have. So, their best bet would be to just go along with whatever they ordered and just hoped they would survive until the end.
Anyways, Apollo entered the living room and greeted the other contestants with his usual smile and wave, then watched as the TV turned on. Apollo suddenly found himself smiling happily as he found himself witness to a beautiful and breathtaking island paradise. And strangely enough, it didn't even appear to be one of those artificial islands that corporations usually create for the sake of tourism. No, it seemed completely natural, which certainly couldn't be possible after the Tragedy. Oh, but Apollo didn't really care about that right now. He was willing to believe anything.
"Oh, this is so exciting! A lovely island getaway! Just for us!" Apollo said as he rushed onto the elevator. "I didn't think any of this would be real after the Tragedy, but still! This is so amazing!"

After having a bad sleep during the whole night, Brunhild was certainly in a bad mood, to say the least, and this weird announcement did not make her feel any better either. Annoyed by everything Brunhild looked at the screen without any signs of interest towards the island and made a small comment: "I already hate this place.". The school trip to the island seemed like a joke to her, she always hated hot places, she more of a fan of snowy or rainy weather. Anyway, they were now forced to go there, Brunhild slowly stepped on the elevator last. The elevator suddenly shook, making everyone fall down. "The fuck was that!?" Her day was completely ruined, well it is to be expected from the killing game setting. Brunhild stood up and made an annoyed face, there was nothing she could do other than that, anyway.
