Irene's feelings on the beach were quite clear at this point. It had actually seemed improved by the lack of direct sunlight and heat, but no longer. While she was not necessarily opposed to the concept of entering a body of water, she saw no particular use in it save for cleaning oneself, and certainly not in such a body of water as the ocean. The sand remained sand, as it likely would for a very long time. Regardless of her distaste for it, this beach had become the location of two murders. There was evidence to be found.

Who doesn't love a beach episode? Ah, if things weren't so bad, the memories that could be be made. But, since you're here...
What's that in the distance? Is something amiss with the beach stand?
Why is Monokuma here? The sight of the bear may fill you with dread, but in this one specific instance, maybe you should hear what he has to say.
If you look close, you can see where the boats are kept. Maybe you could check those out.
Over there are the dead bodies of your (now) former castmates, and beside them is an angsty robot. Could Koneko have learned anything about the bodies?

The two deceased remained where they were, and were not likely to move any time soon. Irene had seen them upon arriving, but had not examined them. It appeared Koneko had been doing just that. In addition, Monokuma lurked nearby, observing them. There was most likely knowledge to be gained from both of them.
"I shall have a word with Miss Kikaimoto and Mr. Bear." She stated, then walked off to do so.

Although she was still a little uneasy about being here in open after everything that had transpired over the last few days, Nana knew they had to investigate. So, as the others did their own thing nana tried to make it obvious she was *listening to what Monokuma said* and she went over to ask about the bodies.
