► Yuichiro Yuuki 404 I'll flesh her out in the upcoming self FTE tm | (Carol's face, minus the cats.)
It'd been a few hours since they reunited. At first, he was practically in shock, and couldn't quite accept the impossible circumstances shoved into his hands. After everything that happened, the last thing he could believe was her coming back into his life, oddly enough. Despite... Never being sure of what truly happened to her. All he had known was the "elope" letter was complete bullshit. When he'd first charged into his room and found her, he denied that she could possibly be the real Carol, but after a while he had accepted that it was possible.
It took a while to explain the Mutual Killing game that they had been thrust into, which was extra difficult considering they had no idea how it started or worked. After he had concluded what he knew thus far, the girl had expressed feeling sickly. She had seemed a bit pale... So Yuichi took her to explore the restaurant, and hopefully find something that she could eat.
It was unfortunate that they came to the lounge after getting her some food...
He recognized a particularly horrifying sound, one he had experienced first hand; the sound of a girl being turned into perfume. As they rounded the corner, Yuichiro stood guard, noticing a particular girl lazily watching the videos. He would have turned right on his heel if Carol hadn't spoken first.
"That's-!!" She stepped back, seeming even more pale than before. "The Emerald Demon. She really was resurrected too! How the heck.." It just figured that some twisted fuck like her would spend time watching executions. Yuichiro gritted his teeth and stepped forward, signalling Carol to stay back. He really didn't want to take any risks. She obliged, nervously turning the silver ring on her finger.
"Mariko.. Y-You're..." This really put talking to Valentina into perspective. "H-Hey, there's no way you can kill any of us, right? Or no reason, should I say?"
Then he felt a slap at the back of his head. Seemed Carol didn't appreciate his cautious efforts to defuse a situation that could have been easily avoided. Hell, he just wanted to know if it was better to stay locked in their room. "Yui, you idiot! She's... A mass murderer, of course it's not safe! C'mon, I'd really rather not trade places." The girl tried to tug him away, but... The Ultimate Despairs eyes froze him in place. Like they pierced his soul. | |

[/i] Well, someone was a little slow on the uptake, weren’t they? At the sound of the interruption the Ultimate Despair director flicked her gaze away from the screen away to see who was so rude enough to interrupt (didn’t they know it was rude to talk during movies anymore? Kids these days.) and after seeing who it was she gave the little blonde boy who’s name she hadn’t learned yet and his little deadfriend tagalong a little lazy fingerwave in greeting. You always had to greet the adoring public, she had learned from so many movie sets and red carpets for film releases. The blonde kid was braver than some of his fellow little bastards is seemed though because he actually approached her, this was new. “Mariko.. Y-You're..." Mariko raised an eyebrow as the blonde singer stumbled over his words, waiting for him to go on. She was Mariko, yes. It was nice that they were all introducing themselves once again, this was some grade-A quality bonding going on right here. Ah, the memories it brought back of years gone by, happy times, so many dead friends. "H-Hey, there's no way you can kill any of us, right? Or no reason, should I say?"Aaaaand there we go. She had been starting to wonder when someone would finally bring up the elephant in the room, frankly it was a surprise that it had taken someone this long. Right away someone had asked if they could be killed (which, rude) but nobody had yet to bring up the possibility that the two Masterminds who had ended the world could actually kill somebody. Perhaps they had been avoiding the subject, ignorance after all, is bliss. "Yui, you idiot! She's... A mass murderer, of course it's not safe!”The dead girl had a point, but the blonde boy seemed to be waiting around for some reason She stared into his eyes, almost testing him in a way, trying to get a feel on this kid to see what he would do if she stared long enough before she turned to look at the girl behind him and….well, some would say smile. It was more like she bared her teeth. “Always nice to meet one of my fans.” She gave the girl a little wink before turning to face Yuichi again, pressing pause on the tv and brushing bangs out of her eye. Thank God Tivo still existed here. “Relax Yui, have a snack.” And yes, she did try and mimic the tone the nameless girl standing behind him had used as she shook the candy bowl at the blonde kid standing before her, her eyes going back to focus on the screen. “Killing you kids wouldn’t be as much fun as being an observer. I’m just here to support my protege and watch you kids butcher each other.”With that she flicked a piece of candy up into the air, and, tracking its movements with her green eyes opened her mouth to catch the airborne candy on the tip of her tongue. She had a lot of practice catching things like that, as an ex-boyfriend could attest to if he hadn’t been executed. “Skittles?”[/ul]

► Yuichiro Yuuki 463 Mariko's hot btw | He felt the grip on his arm loosen a bit. Oddly enough, it was rather comforting for the both of them to hear the woman with tens of thousands of deaths under her belt to exclaim that it'd be boring to kill them. That served to relax Carol and embolden Yuichiro. Narrowing his eyes, he looked at the bowl of skittles, and then at the emerald eyed former director. "It's Yuichiro to you, Ultimate Despair.." Twirling one of his bangs around his finger, he noticed that.. Mariko was human. She wasn't some satanic nightmare being, she was just... A person. Could she have really run a killing game so horrifying? "You're.. A lot more civil than I thought you'd be. In fact, I feel like Valentina was probably more of a wild card than you. It's... Uncanny. Did you really run Monoworld?"
He wanted so, so badly to say "cut the shit, director" and knock that skittle bowl out of her disgustingly pale hands, but there was probably nothing stopping her from taking an eye if she wanted. With a spoon. Instead, he looked back at his old girlfriend... To find her gaze transfixed onto the killing videos. "C-Carol, you don't need to watch that. Really, you shouldn't. That kinda stuff makes even my stomach churn."
Just as Ren was being killed for what must've been the dozenth time on that screen, Yuichiro pressed the power button, and felt the cold judging eyes of a mastermind on the back of his neck. Turning, he felt like he was about to get shanked if he didn't impress. "We're... Not big fans of violent movies, I guess you could say."
Then. He stood there. Silently awaiting a reply. Then, Carol posed a question that could slice through all the tension like a high frequency blade.
"Why'd you do it?" The girl was turning the silver ring on her finger; the one that matched his own. The future was stolen from them by people like Mariko Nakazawa, who was just standing right there. They could have tea and talk about what superpowers they wanted for fucks sake! "What was all the death and chaos even worth to you people? And what do you even hope to accomplish if Monokuma lets you out! It'd be a lot harder to incite another tragedy with people who survived the last one!" She wanted to believe that, but... Why was there even a killing game going on in her age. "D-Do you even know how we were brought back? Does that not even matter to you?" Her entire body trembled. She felt like a rabbit facing a lion.. It was lucky she had a much stronger ally at her side. Someone who was probably used to despairful people by now.

[/i] Oooh, she’s lost name privileges apparently, somebody was mad. Her expression didn’t chance any but she did silently stir the candy bowl with a fingernail, slowly picking colored candies out of the bowl and working her way through the candy, one color at a time. Greens were first, then reds, than yellows, so on. As she ate the candies in silence though her eyes never left Yuichi, challenging him in a way. “...You say that, but what are you gonna do if I don’t call you by your full name, huh Yui?” Yeah, it was probably a mistake to try and give her orders and tell her what and what not to do. You would think that people would have learned by now that it was probably a horrible idea to try and push around a woman who has gleefully admitted to killing as many people as Mariko has, and yet we are. “You're not gonna try and kill me over it are you? You kids today are so barbaric, I blame public education and too much violent television.” "You're.. A lot more civil than I thought you'd be. In fact, I feel like Valentina was probably more of a wild card than you. It's... Uncanny. Did you really run Monoworld?"That wasn’t the first time that this point had been brought up, back when she was alive the first time people had been quite taken aback over the fact that she was the mastermind of that game and so, like she had done so many other times when this point had been brought up the green haired woman shrugged dramatically, her palms turned skyward. “What can I say, I’m not a bad girl. I just do bad things, very bad things, such horrible things.” Getting to her feet as Yuichi turned to talk to his little girlfriend, Mariko’s expression soured as he turned off the tv she had been watching and as he offered an excuse of “oh lah-de-dah we don’t like violent tv” the film director silently stared him in the eyes, like a lion about to pounce on a heavily wounded gazelle. “Oi, that was quite rude you k-” "Why'd you do it?"Oh, this question again? As someone besides Yuichi speaks up for once, Mariko finally looks away from the singer to see this cute little lamb lost to the slaughter. She hadn’t spoken up much, choosing instead to use blondie over here do all the talking but it seems that she finally found her voice, because she had like six questions after that. Mariko studies her in silence “...Does my reason really matter?” With her hands folded behind her head, Mariko has lazily started walking wide circles around the two people in front of her, eyeing them out of the side of her eye like they were an exhibit at a zoo. “I’m the Emerald Demon, known what remains of the world over as history’s greatest monster. The boogeyman parents warn their children about.” She pauses for a moment, her head tilted at an angle as she seems to be fixated on something before simply shrugging and making her way back to the armchairs. “Besides, even if I tell you my reason you’ll just dismiss it as a lie, so just come up with your own reason I did what I did and roll with it.”Still looking as bored as she had been before, Mariko ambles her way back over to the armchairs and drops back into it, propping one leg over the other and gazes up at the ceiling thoughtfully as she seemed to be debating the answers to the various questions that had been directed at her. “I have a few plans for what I want to do when I get out. I wanna swing by and see my older sisters, assuming your foundation didn’t shoot them in the head just for being related to me. Have a few drinks, maybe go to the beach. Hunt down and brutally slaughter the little worthless bitches I let live way back when just because they were too much of a pain to execute. You know, nothing major.” Salty? Who was salty. Those three had only accused a head in a box of being the mastermind, but no yeah they deserved to live. “As for if I care about how we were brought back, no, not really. I just wish this technology was around when I was alive, the movies I could have made with the greats.” She may have said more here, but it’s at this moment that Yuichi’s friend says something about it being harder to start a tragedy again after people had lives through a first one. For a second it looks like she’s smirking at the very idea but of course, she’d never do something like that. “You think so?” Mariko has a mock quizzical expression on her face and she again looks to the ceiling, brushing strands of green hair as she did so. That was a new one. “Since I’ve been gone, have people gotten nicer? Is there peace, love, universal harmony? No troubles, no strife, no killings or crime, everything sunshine and rainbows?” She doesn’t give either of them an actual opportunity to answer, instead leaning forward like she was going to share with them some sort of major secret. “You wanna know how I started the first tragedy? All I had to do was wait. Sure, I had to nudge a few pawns along, but before long they were out in the world and they were taking out the entire chessboard.” I mean sure, she killed a few people on her own to kickstart things off but that’s not the point she wanted to make here, and she turned her attention back to Yuichi, again staring him dead in the eye. “You’ve seen it, right Yui? You’re living it right now, after all. You kids may be slacking hardcore…” Her eyes cut quickly to the now shut off tv screen to make her point before going right back to the singer “But you’ve seen the real face of humanity. You see that if you give someone the tiniest little nudge, someone will slit your throat and step over your still warm body to assure their own survival.”Satisfied with her explanation, Mariko picks up the large candy bowl again and resumes sorting through various colored candy as she spoke. She had to have a few orange ones left. “That’s the beauty of a killing game, you see up close and personal what human beings are all about. People just can’t handle seeing their true selves amplified.”[/ul]
