They say that every life is sacred. That nobody has the right to take the life. Even though you’ve been forced to condemn classmates to death (and then resurrection? It was a murky area) you wake up and tell yourselves that this time will be different, that this time you won’t give in to Monokuma’s games and you’ll all fight hard to survive together. They do say the textbook definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and not expecting the same result… The deadline set by Monokuma had quickly drawn to a close. With each passing day, the two former leaders of Ultimate Despair did little to calm the nerves of the seventeen teenagers (well, sixteen teenagers and one robot) who had been forced to call this kitchen area home. These two women, the greatest monsters humanity had ever seen would be set to be released if someone didn’t do something. It had been discussed at length amongst the group as to what they could do but in the end there was no denying that options seemed to be limited. The only way to stop the release of evil was to commit an act of evil yourself and nobody had been stupid or brazen enough to volunteer to be a murderer in front of a roomful of teenagers. All you could do now was wait for time to pass. Those who had loved ones brought back to life were spending as they could before the time limit ran out and although the threat still lingers over the minds of your group, most of you are surprised to find that things here weren’t all bad. Getting to see dead loved ones, say things that you never got a chance to say before, best to enjoy this time while you can. The day before they are set to be released, however, something seems different. Although Junko and Mariko had been in a united cause they had spent next to no time together since they had been brought back, instead focusing on needling the survivors in their own way. Apparently, you didn’t have to get along to form the worst duo in the history of humankind. And yet, there they were each standing on either side of the freezer door, looking as smug as a cat who managed to eat a cage full of canaries. Some of your more aggressive members hurl insults at the duo, asking what they were doing here, but your taunts and harsh words only make their smiles bigger. In response, the green haired demon lazily jerks a thumb towards the door. It seems if you want answers, you must find them yourselves. This had to be a setup, right. Although you may have been tempted to disregard the taunting tone of the ultimate Despair you find yourself even still creeping closer to the freezer door and finally with a final deep breath of determination, push open the door to the freezer, not sure what to expect but what you see still manages to stun you into silence. « tag: @all // notes: welcome to hell! welcome to hell! welcome to-- » [attr="class","oho"] love and life are just as brief AS A CANDLE IN THE WIND, GREEDY JUST LIKE SIN. Food is thrown all over the interior of the freezer as if someone had pulled the shelves down without a care in the world and you can’t really enter without stepping on something that makes you feel queasy in the pit of your stomach. You think about venturing forward but something catches your eye and any thought of forwarding entry is gone.
No, what catches your gaze and forces you to take a step back in horror is the prone girl who lay unmoving in the middle of it all. You try and talk yourselves out of believing it but the longer you stay there, looking on in horror the more you notice that her chest wasn’t moving. There was no debating it.
Shiro Shizuku, the Aspiring Ultimate Internet Sleuth, was dead.

Nox Tenebris on stage, front and center. ♡ | [attr="class","technoscroll"]❝ Nox was one of the ones who weren't very aggressive to the duo, and only cautiously and quietly walked over to the door they gestured to as the others did their own thing. What she saw made her cover her mouth and visibly gag, turning away with a stagger. She felt her mouth quiver and her eyes water as she tried to quietly whisper to herself it was okay.
The girl was the Internet Sleuth, if she remembered correctly. Someone who, though slightly different, had a very similar talent to her own. Someone who understood her world more than others. And there she lied, dead. The girl lied there... not breathing. Not moving. She felt her stagger backwards and hit the door frame, breathing erratic as she felt herself trembling. She grit her teeth and stomped her foot, forcing herself to calm down. 'Smile and wave, smile and wave.' She turned to look at the body again, before clamming up and turning away from the body completely, face almost emotionless as she forced herself to stop shaking and panicking.
"...We have to investigate, I guess..." Is all she managed to get out, her voice oddly distant and cold. Her eyes betrayed her voice however, showing uncertainty, sorrow, and deep pain that seemed to be lingering on her ever since the very first death. |

[attr=class,mbox]Valentina waltzed over to the cold ice box guarded by Mariko and Junko Enoshima themselves. As they passed by them, she coyly released a "From one undead mass murderer to another, maybe keep a good leash on your duel-wielding rottweiler if he's not going to hit his target. I heard you can calm him down with a nice wank. A slut like you should enjoy it." from her lips as they twisted into a small smirk or grin. She continued onward as Nero freaking out. Down on the floor was the sleuth herself. Food was strewn everywhere. Items all around. She then proceeded to announce something to the frozen companions in a loud, booming voice.
"As your Goddess who had graced you all with beauty and did horrible atrocities to the mortal realm, I can redeem myself as Nero here can testify that we had nothing to do with this."
Valentina raised her cuffed wrist.
"No matter where I go, Nero follows, and we did not see the body until now. I, along with Nero, am innocent. Therefore, we shall be taking charge over guarding the body while you search for clues and bring them hither, which I shall deduce the culprit as I did with Sanura, Ren, and myself, on a technical basis. Mainly because I killed Rin. Which means I solved his murder. I mean, in the grand scheme of things, little things like that won't matter, but I digress. I shall save you all from death for I shall prevent this murderer from going free!"
She put her hands on her hips and smiled from ear to ear, waiting to hear the applause from the masses. |  Ultimate

Dead. She was gone, just like the rest of them. This time around, it was Shiro. Liam and her hadn't talked much, but seeing her dead... it was still terrible. After a few moments of staring at the body, Liam could start feeling the despair again. It was with him so much, it was starting to become an acquaintance to him. The only acquaintance he'd have that wouldn't leave him eventually.
If looks could kill, the two undead masterminds would be the victims and Liam would be the blackened.
"You two, y-you guys had to have been behind this. What did you evil people do to her? W-Why did you kill her?"
Liam knew they had to be involved somehow. There was no way the two most horrible people known to history weren't involved in a murder. He had enough experience with the remnants to know they were cold-hearted killers. It wouldn't be unlike them to just go and murder somebody.
"I-I'm going to investigate, and I'm going to find a way to prove you despairs guilty."

The freezer, one of the few places that Brunhild likes, due to the cold temperature inside, but other than that it wasn't a good place to be in. However, this wasn't the case today, a body of Internet Sleuth, Shiro Shizuku was here.
Brunhild looked at the corpse of a sleuth with fright on her face. Sleuth was an important person in all this mess. She as a sleuth could have solved all the mysteries inside this manor. But now, she was dead in the cold freezer. Did killer specifically target her? Or was she at the place and at the time? Anyway, she is gone and nothing can change it since that Monokuma wouldn't resurrect somebody like her, but instead is willing to bring back to life people like Valentina, Junko, and Mariko, who never deserved it in the first place. But this is not the time to think about it, it is time for an investigation once again....
And right as she was starting to investigate, Valentina just had to open her mouth, hadn't she? Brunhild looked at her with a small hint of disgust. There is no time for that, ignore her...just ignore her, Brunhild kept saying to herself. She walked to the body slowly to not disrupt the status of room and looked thoroughly at the body up close, but did not touch it, as she feared that she would compromise the condition of the body.

As the knight made his threats the two undead leaders of despair couldn't even pretend to take him seriously, sharing a quick look and then laughing directly in his face. You hear things like so often that it gets funny after a certain amount of years. Mariko makes a show of wiping away her tears of laughter but before anything could actually be said, the chimes that you had all grown to hate so much sound and on the monitor...he appears "A bear-y gooooood morning chefs, rise and shine! A body has been discovered, congratulations! After a brief period of investigation, a trial will be held to find the next Blackened! See you soon! Feel free to grab a snack before you go, breakfast is the most despairing meal of the day."The dreaded announcement, something that you had all secretly wished that you would never have to hear again. Or you thought that you had all wished that, but now you had to admit that didn't seem to be the case. As the rest of the castmates hurry down to join the others they all witness the poor dead girl not many of them had ever really gotten to know all that well before she had been murdered. Sadly you don't even have time to mourn her properly because once you all have crowded into the freezer, Monokuma isn't far behind eyes gleaming in anticipation for what's to come, his chef coat bulging from transporting whatever he had stashed under there. "“Yeah yeah yeah save your claims of innocence for the trial, sister. And Ixnay on the Oddess-day! This is a non denominational establishment! What, you want people to write in to the FCC and get us yanked off the air?!"“What do you want.” It was a statement more so than a question and the glare the singer gives the bear...if looks could kill, the hologram might have been in trouble. Monokuma doesn't seem that perturbed by the rude tone. In fact despite the fact it was a hologram of a robot bear you could almost swear that his sinister grin that you all hated grew even wider when challenged. "What do I want? What does anybody want, fast cars, loose women, all the sweet honeypots a bear could ask for. But this isn't about me, Since one of you bastards decided to break under the pressure and kill one of your friends, I thought I'd give you all something nice. And with that you were left with nothing but a since of forboding. It was starting once again and there was nothing you could do. The investigation to solve the murder. Knowing that one of your friends here amongst you was the killer.

Dorothy walked nonchalantly to the Freezer after having heard the Body Discovery Announcement. Wordlessly, she looked at Shiro's dead body and picked up the Monokuma File.
Anyone who looked at her could tell that this either didn't faze her anymore, or that she didn't even care anymore. She did care at first, but now no more. She was just another corpse to add on to the pile, and sooner or later, someone else will join Shiro on that pile. It'll be up to Dorothy and the remaining students to send someone else to hell just so they could keep living on.
But hey, once this is over, the two despair chicks would be gone for good, right? Someone killed before the time limit was up. Dorothy wondered if the two of them would stick around until after the trial.
Then again, she didn't particularly care.

 Koneko was greeted with just about the most unpleasant feeling ever--and what a terrible thing to feel when one was only just regaining their ability to have emotions at all. The body, on top of the blatant disrespect for it, on top of the unsettling scene evident of a struggle... well, actually, what was making her uncomfortable had nothing to do with that at all. It was actually a feeling which both cause and effect could be explained in the first thing she said upon arriving on the scene. "...wait, who was this again?"you cant wake up - this is not a dream |

He was starting to lose count. Though the singer was anxious to leave his resurrected girlfriend alone in their room, he had to go see it. Not doing so would mean certain death for sure. At least Carol didn't have to get involved.
The freezer seemed completely trashed.. And poor Shiro lay in the middle of it, lifeless. She really did seem like a kind soul... Though Koneko's thoughtless comment did somewhat remind him that he barely interacted with her. Grimacing, he looked at the Ultimate Despairs and muttered to himself. "At least they're going back to the dead.." And Carol would live, too. If Monokuma wasn't a cheating piece of trash, that was.
Once he saw a particular girl arrive, curiosity peaked in Yuichi's mind. Approaching the mystery writer, he whispered. "What do you make of this, Caelie? This place is a lot smaller and houses a lot fewer potential killers than the Manor or Island..." | |

However, Mayumi did admit that Shiro was a decent investigator during the first case, but ever since then she did nothing useful. And now she was dead. Mayumi suspected that a murder would eventually occur in the freezer, but the real question was who.
Mayumi already began to come up with possible theories based on the location, Monokuma file, and the clues Holokuma already revealed to them.

Another Body Announcement echoed through the area. Unfazed, Orica began making her way to the Freezer, not that hastily. To rush at the sound of a dead body would be putting herself at risk of getting too caught up in the machinations of the bear, lest she fall to weakness during this farce. After all, someone weak had died and someone just as weak had done the deed. Not only that the two Weaklings of Despair had been around. There was no telling just how many of the others they had managed to corrupt with their Despair. That possibility just meant that Orica could trust the others even less than she already could.
Arriving at the freezer there were a handful of people already. Ignoring them, even the two Masterminds, she went in to look at the body. No doubt the rest of the them would be a bit squeamish about this.

Good Laughs, Good Murders, What more could anyone want? Nero stayed silent as Valentina dragged him near the Despairs. The closer he got to the despairs, the more his composure started to crack. As Valentina brought him practically right next to Ultimate Despairs, he was practically shaking from the fear alone. As Valentina proceeded to talk to, and insult them, every single instinct in Nero's brain told him to run. However, he was barely able to hold it together long enough for Valentina to finish her conversation. As she walked away, Nero happily walked after her, eager to greaten the distance between the Despairs and himself. Unfortunately, as the door to the freezer opened, all that happiness would disappear instantly.
After all, Shiro's body was right in front of him, laid out on the ground, with a large mess all around him. He looked at the body... and could barely hold his thoughts together. As Valentina started to speak, Nero was no longer paying attention to what she was saying, any sounds drowning itself out in his inner turmoil.
Shiro... can't be dead. Perhaps... Perhaps there's still a chance that she can be revived! Perhaps we can save her!
"I-It's not too late! Monokuma hasn't given a BDA! W-We can still s-save her! Quickly, does anyone know CPR, or something that can help her?!" Nero looks frantic as he quickly states this, eyes darting from the body to the group. He had held his composure when Excrest's body was discovered, and when Kris and Rin's bodies were discovered... but he could stay calm no longer.
His last hopes were crushed as he heard the aforementioned bear officially announce the body drop, and the Monokuma file. He... just stopped. He looked at the body with a look of true sadness on his face. They had done it again... Someone among them had fallen into Despair and killed...

Once she took a peek inside the freezer after Mariko and Junko moved aside, her shock of Shiro's death wasn't as great as compared to the previous two deaths for....several reasons. This time, she knew she had no involvement with this case unlike last time, and this time the body wasn't as messed up as the previous two bodeis were. Nonetheless, she still had trouble keeping her composure as she immediately rushed a few meters back, away from the freezer.
She was hunched over, trying to collect her thoughts. While on one hand, Mariko and Junko won't be coming back, but on the other hand, there were now three murderers amongst them, herself still included. Her 'murder' was out of self defence, and besides that, she didn't even want Rin dead! Valentina did murder with intent, but that's too much to explain. After some time, trying to keep herself from gagging as much as possible, she stood up again, leaving to find someone to investigate with.

Yet another had met their end, and Irene reacted in much the same way as she had upon the discoveries of Excrest, Wilk and Nakamura, and even her own master at the bottom of his workshop stairs so long ago. Another talented individual gone from the world, though their legacies would be remembered. Yet another would be departing soon, unless they met the same fate as Valentina.
The end of all things had been averted for the time being as well as presumably the end of her master yet again, but at the cost of another life, and so an investigation would still be conducted. The same procedures must follow as previous times. Retrieval of the facts, followed by careful consideration. In a sense, they would already be acknowledging the accomplishments of the deceased.
