[attr="class","tgg"] [attr="class","TheGreatGatsby"] In the wake of Dorothy’s death, the room was still with terror. That had been...quite a bit more gruesome than prior executions, hadn’t it? And still, that damned cat kept singing to itself. Liam Dayton seemed so resigned, another failure in a long, long list. Mayumi Otsuka and Nox Tenebris remained tight in their embrace; the latter trembled like a withered petal, moments from falling from its dying rose. Some, like Irene Karlsen, Yuichiro Yuuki, and Brunhild Kurth stood perfectly still. Perhaps they didn’t care? Or more likely, they themselves felt like the slightest move was a risk. Nero Fiammes was hollow and distant, his characteristic smile having been dripped dry. Valentina Rossi and Sanura Simons stood at opposing ends of the courtroom, one sobbing as the other prophesied. Were they really transcendent beings, as Valentina said? Or had they just gotten lucky? With conversation having come to a halt, Monokuma jumped onto the hibachi, sending sparks flying where his holographic feet made contact. “Puhuhu...why the long faces, kids? Are you getting tired of cold-blooded killing? You’re not alone, you know…” He looked down with a long drawn-out sigh. “I even put you in a kitchen this time around, just ‘cause…” And then he burst into laughter. “I wanted some passion killing! Y’know, you killed the yakuza’s sister, so you gotta die, bada bing, bada boom, bada ding, bada doom!” Monokuma attempted to make finger guns that he shot vigorously, but because of his paws, it just looked like he was glitching out. Or maybe he was? “Add another...add another...the cast is growing stale…” Cheshire chimed in. Stale? What the hell?! That was incredibly rude, especially out of such a generally ominous figure. “Or rather, stagnant...friendships should be shaken, trust should be reevaluated, truth should be sought...the traitors must be found, and the confused, too…” And with that, Cheshire just...faded away. Perhaps he was leaving to deal with the revived supporting cast. Speaking of which… What had happened to them? What would become of them? Monokuma, sticking to eerie form, appeared to be reading your minds whilst ignoring the cat AI’s mysterious remarks. “Oh, you guys are probably worried about your family, huh? Well, don’t you worry about a thing! No family or friends were harmed in the making of this chapter! But as for the future...well, I’ve decided some compromise is nice. I won’t put those revived people back in their graves...but they’ll be kept separate from you when our new set is ready. This week will be your last time with them, okay?” Huh. The bear actually seemed...caring. Kind. How long would it last? “But the catch!” Not long, as it turned out. “I’ve decided to raise the stakes! While they’ll stay alive, and you can bring them with you upon escaping the game...your lives are Destiny Bonded! What a franchise crossover, huh?! If you die, they die too! So don’t be complacent! Make better cases, and try harder to stay alive! Do your beary best, yeah yeah yeah, ‘cause your cheerleaders are just as at risk as you are! So long, bear well!”
And just like that...he was gone. be our DEATH [attr="class","mizocredits"] [newclass=.mizocredits]width:90px;padding:1px;border:1px solid #969696;margin:5px;[/newclass][newclass=.mizocredits a]color: #d3f4ff;font: bold 6pt calibri; letter-spacing: 1px; text-transform: uppercase;[/newclass][googlefont=Muli][newclass=.TheGreatGatsby]width: 89px; height: 89px; border:1px solid #201f24;transition:.7s[/newclass][newclass=.tgg:hover .TheGreatGatsby]filter:invert(100%); -webkit-filter: invert(100%); transition:.7s; border: 1px solid #f0f0f0;[/newclass]

For the first time in this fucked up game, Mayumi was speechless. None of the deaths up to this point affected her in any way… all but Dorothy's.
Even though she suspected Dorothy from the beginning, the polyglot wanted to befriend her and be by her side. Then when it came down to the two of them being evaluated as the culprit, more people sided with Dorothy surviving than Mayumi - and when Monokuma pulled out that awful lie out of nowhere, that was when she began to feel responsible for Dorothy's demise. Had it not been her as the culprit, everyone would've felt more relieved that their perky pal wasn't the culprit, and that Mayumi the detestable scumbag was. Then the execution came along and pushed her over the edge.
And now here she was, comforting Nox in a time of distress. She hugged the internet personality with her extremely soft arms, quietly giving her advice. For the time being she would be Nox's faithful teddy bear. She heard the 'catch' regarding the resurrected individuals, but she didn't give a shit about any of it, for the motive never applied to her. Even Cheshire's hinting of traitors didn't faze her, since it was already said before. | [attr="class","goodness"] ✉ @nobody ✎ 0000 words |

[attr=class,mbox]...Bonded? Destiny Bonded? With...With him? "Yes, Mr. Monokuma, all powerful, beary delicious and certainly not revolting in any way shape or form, and I'm not saying this because I want something from you, I have a tinsy favor to ask of you. The favor is simple. Can Taro and I not be destiny bonded? Because, Taro is, and this is a well known fact, an insane suicidal fuckwit!" She shrieked the last half of the sentence whilst diving her fingernails into her scalp with the the sharpness and vigor to draw blood. She stopped for a second. She breathed in and out. She closed her eyes and assumed a yoga stance to maintain inner peace with herself. She continued her deep breathing. "Sorry. What I meant to say is that asshole, who shall not be named and was somehow brought back to life even though he's not a God himself, unlike moi and Caelie, is going to get himself killed and I rather not go down with him. So, we just call it even stevens? I mean, I would actually like a chance of surviving here." She continued into another pose, thinking calm peaceful thoughts. Deep breathe in, deep breathe out. | Tag

Good Meals, Good Friends, Good Laughs, Good Murders, What more could anyone want? Nero's had a blank look on his face as he looked down. The baker didn't even have the strength to look at Monokuma or his fellow students. With Dorothy's... death and Cheshire's unwillingness to bring her back, as he had done with Valentina, Nero's previous optomism and joy was lost. If one were to look at his face, an appropriate word for it would be 'broken'. As Cheshire spoke of traitors, his head slowly raised to look at the cat.
"...Why... do we have to keep distrusting each other... Why... does there have to be a traitor..." The voice that came out of the Fiammes's mouth was not the energetic and go lucky one that it usually was. His voice... was hollow... It was broken. A few moments more, and Cheshire vanished. With it, his head dropped again. Nero the Broken Baker

Things just kept going wrong. There was never a break from it all. People just kept dying and dying and dying, and there was never once, in all of their time being trapped here, a single moment of rest from it all. Even the bonds they had forged and made to be the most unbreakable of weapons against Monokuma and his Despair had snapped under the pressure of it all. It was all contributing to Monokuma's plan.
Liam had known that Dorothy was off, especially around corpses, but the revelation that she had killed Shiro was still a complete and total surprise to him.
That was a lie.
Somewhere, deep in his mind, he had known it was Dorothy. Her staff was there, the pink hair was there, the evidence was undeniable, but he still tried his best not to believe it, even when she had confessed. It had all come down to whether he would try and defend his friends or actually find the truth. Look at all the good his choice did him.
The reveal of the Destiny Bond didn't help ease his poor mind.
"A-All I w-want to do is die right now, and I c-can't even do that without k-killing someone who doesn't even d-deserve to die. This Hell just keeps finding w-ways to torture us..."
Death wasn't an escape anymore, if it ever was in the first place. When the game had just started, Liam had thought this matter of life and death was as grave as it could have been, but he knew better now. If he had learned anything here, it's that things never hit a point where they couldn't get worse than they already were. The Despair was endless.

Another trial was open. At least this one ended with the weak one that murdered being put to death, unlike the wailing corpse that still clung to life in their presence. No matter, death would catch up to them in time. Fretting over it taking a bit would be a weakness. "There is a traitor because there is someone weak enough to think that this whole farce is a good idea," Orica replied to Nero who seemed broken by the whole experience. Such Weakness.
"As long as you put your trust in others that trust can be betrayed. And to do so in the face of the bear's schemes is like asking for death. As long as you cling to the Weakness of Hope then the Weakness of Despair will be ready to prey on it. This game itself is a sign of that, what was supposed to be a sign and celebration of Hope Revived has been flipped into the announcement of a Despair's Return. If you fall for your foe's tricks then it is your own weakness that leads to their victory. The way to defeat them is to rob them of that which they use to weaken you. To become Strong. Without Weakness."
With that, the Princess Knight turned to leave the area, not that she had any loved ones to spend this remaining week with. She walked a lonely road, but throughout this she had managed to stay strong. Perhaps the only winning move was not to play.

Irene said nothing. Yet another dead, another whose accomplishments to remember, another who had sacrificed their talents. It appeared Dorothy would not be revived as Valentina was, a phenomenon which she had yet to learn the reason for. Why one had been revived and not the other was unlikely to do with any moral reason. It was a matter of the Cheshire's judgement. Soon enough, another would meet their end, possibly a second, and the one who caused it would likely meet the same end. A twisted contraption, but one guaranteed to proceed unless a spanner was placed in its works somehow, or its purpose was completed. The purpose had yet to be discovered, and would most likely not be discovered for some time, if at all.
The Cheshire spoke of a traitor, or perhaps multiple traitors. An attempt to sow the seeds of distrust, or truth? There was no answer to be seen for the time. The claim seemed to have already taken its effects on some, while some were already distraught for other reasons. For the time being, disaster had been averted, and the old master would remain in the land of the living, but separate. Any words that needed to be exchanged would be exchanged in what time was left.

Having to see another one of her friends die... this was unbearable for Sanura. How many more would have to to give in to Monokuma's motives? Probably more than Sanura wants to think of, she shakes the thought out of her head.
Right now, she was focused on what Monokuma and Cheshire said. Bound to their dead, or should she say, revived, loved ones? She had no such person like that, but usually Monokuma likes to target the whole group right? This made no sense to her...but she liked not having to be part of the bear's evil schemes. This did mean that others were being subjected to it, but for once Sanura worried more about herself than others.
The entire time, she kept quiet. Her speaking up again would just make her a target for Orica and Monokuma to make fun of her again. 'There has to be a way we can make sure no one dies...but the three who wanted to catch the mastermind didn't succeed at all.' She was doing her best though, but not having the biggest mental fortitude wasn't a helping factor in all this.
She was, however, able to block out the thought of a traitor. The traitor is just the mastermind, so there's only one real bad guy behind all of this. Yup, that has to be it!
