fear is sacred.
This is a simple circular room with cold steel walls and strange black pillars. If you aren't staring directly at them, they seem to shimmer and slide about in your peripheral vision. Huh. The floor is made of something spongey and malleable, so walking across it can prove somewhat difficult. If you step with enough force, your leg could get stuck!
In the middle of the room is a...gauntlet, of sorts. It's like a giant goblet filled with blue flames, not unlike that of Harry Potter fiction. Inscribed on the cup is the following:
"If thou seek to display thine mettle, one small offering is needed."
Beneath the inscription is a small holder where a golden dagger lies. It's incredibly sharp. If you can put two and two together, congratulations! It's a blood sacrifice. The offering must be poured into the goblet, where a message will then display. It seems to be different depending on how many people are in your group when it begins, but only one person has to give an offering. It's unclear how it knows how many people are in the room, but it is never wrong. The message will be a variety of challenges, that will be posted individually elsewhere on the site. ...are your way into Hell's Circle or Heaven's Gate. If you and/or your group succeeds in overcoming the fear-based challenge, you'll be placed in Heaven's Gate for one hour. You cannot leave until the hour is up. However, if you and/or your group fails, you'll be placed in Hell's Circle for one hour and six minutes. Again, you cannot leave until the allotted time passes. Once a challenge is won or failed, you have no choice but to be transported to the corresponding room.
