The Trickster was waiting for something interesting to happen. It had been a few days since his conversation with the flower Maiden and he was still weighing his options. Someone here was going to break, and it was probably happening sooner rather then later. He still needed to determine who he could trust and who he shouldn't.
If he was going to be honest though, it was boredom, sheer boredom that lead him to head to the Monoworld walk of Shame. He had enough of sitting in his room thinking, or sitting in the cafe thinking. Willow had to try something different, even if it was just thinking in a place with a different view.
He was lucky however, he bumped into another person. Alexia, her profile had said, the Ultimate Police Officer. Fascinating. Her skillset could come in handy. Willow had more then his fair share of run in's with police, both because of his own actions and that of his elder sister's.
Thus Willow had some issues with authority. Considering the whole "Killing Game" thing, he couldn't just make enemies with her right off the bat. Knowing how she ticked would be enormously helpful on the other hand. At the very least he should start a conversation with her.
"Hello Ms...Takana was it? What brings you out here to the Monowood Walk of Shame?" Willow asked in a polite and friendly voice.

Alexia was exauhsted... It had been a crazy day. She was still suprised that she hasn't woken up from this ludicrous dream. A dream, which her worst nightmares had seemed to have come true. So, Alexia had stopped on the bridge, titled 'the Monoworld walk of shame' and pondered about the events that had just occoured.
It was just then, that she heard a quiet voice next to her.
'Ah!' She jumped and retreated into a fighting stance. She had known ever since she was here to expect the unexpected.
"Drop down on your knees... Willow...?" She soon realised her mistake. Lowering her stance and looking him in the eye.
"Ah, excuse me... I was just..." She paused "exploring..." Her voice had calmed. "Actually, what are you doing here? Weren't you one of the individuals who did not leave the center premises?" Her voice was assertive. Yet in a soft manner.

The Center Premises? Did she mean the Fountain? The Police officer must be really rattled, that had been days ago and he was among the first to leave to explore the theme park. Whatever or whoever the bear had on her must be important. What a bitter irony that would be if the police officer were the first to break law and morality by killing another.
"Uh...no. I was among the first who left to go exploring. Name's Willow Fey, the Ultimate Trickster. I was the one who told everyone that we had to work together, that I had no desire to kill or to die, and asked anyone who had the notion of killing to consider what their loved ones might think about killing on their behalf. I hope that I wasn't so unremarkable that you would forget me so soon." Willow said with a self deprecating smile.

"Ah...!" She shook her head. "Of course! I'm sorry. These last few days have been... Well, you know." She looked away, paused and then look back.
"So it is Willow fey. Correct? Well, I will definitely remember you, as I agree with your explanation." She sighed "It is just not right... Why do we have to commit a deed so horrible, just so we can see our families again? And, what's worse is that some people don't even give a shit about it... Like it's their fucking daily life..."
She rested her head on her shoulder and sighed again. "Enough about that I suppose... Tell me, what did you find during your investigation?"

"Get back to our families.". Family is important to her so likely it was the Policewoman's family that was being held for ransom (The price, a murder). Otherwise she could have said, "get back to our lives" A guess, but an informed one. Of course it could be her cop family as opposed to blood relations.
The way she was...it reminded him of someone. When he had looked over everyone's profiles Alexia didn't really capture his interest, besides potentially being useful with her police training. Now she was someone he had his eyes on. Maybe the trickster and the police officer could be allies?
"Yeah, it has been rough. Whatever criminal organization is behind this is particularly insidious and sadistic. It's not enough to just kill us, or even to force us to kill each other. They drag the people we care about into it. I wouldn't be too hard on some of the others. Everyone has a different way of cooping with difficult situations such as this. Who knows? For some people here their daily life might not be too different from this. " Willow said thoughtfully.
"As for what I found...not a whole lot. Besides the dead body in the Magic Castle, and that mysterious room that asks "Where are you?" nothing seems to offer much evidence as to who these people actually are. The only two things we can say for certain is that they are killers and they like to play mind games. Which is...less than helpful. Do you happen to have any insight on all this?"

"Insight?" Alexia shook her head and chuckled. "The only insight I've got is that this is a fucking messed up place with messed up rules... Nobody deserves to be here..."
She paused and looked into Willow's eyes. Thinking to herself for a moment before she stated "I know what you were thinking... And, yes. I am thinking about my family if that is what you wanted to know about."
She dazed for a few seconds before she asks: "How about you? What were your loved ones that had been shown in the video?"

The trickster was momentarily caught off guard by Alexia deducing that he had been thinking that her family was shown on the video. Logically that could have been reasoned out, but Willow did not anticipate that Alexia would do so. He had been underestimating the Ultimate Police officer. Willow did not want to make the same mistake twice.
"That is certainly true...none of us deserve to be here. I should have expected an intuitive leap like that from the Ultimate Police Officer. Yes, that was what I was thinking. Now that you have told me about who was on yours, it's only fair that I tell you who was on mine. My mother and sister and my best friend. " Willow looked away momentarily, lost in thought. When he faced Alexia again sorrow and worry were visible on his face.
"We have to get out of here Ms.Takana. We have to get back home for our loved ones sakes. And we have to do it the right way. I am not going to lie and pretend I fully trust you. I certainly don't expect you to fully trust me. However the only way we have a chance is if we work together. We have to start somewhere. So how about, I watch your back and you watch mine, until we can get out of here. Sound good?" Willow said.
A deal like that was a perfect way to build trust and....Alexia was just too much like his sister to not protect.

Alexia was a bit caught off guard by his proposal. She did not expect a sort of alliance to form so early, if you could even call it that.
"Oh...!" She mumbled to herself "I do not fully trust you either, since we just met... But," She paused and smiled lightly "I trust you enough to make such a deal with you." She nodded as if to say that 'it's a deal'. However, the tricksters personal life was still bit vague to her, so she intended to find out more.
"So... Ultimate trickster, hey?" She smirked "What exactly does that involve? Pranks? Or magic?" But there was one other question she wanted to ask Willow before his answer.
"Do you have a father?" She said calmy, knowing she might hit a nerve. "You didn't mention your father when it came to that video..."
She clenched her teeth, hoping the trickster would not get mad and waited for a response.

She accepted. Good. That would make things alot easier. He had already grown a bit fond of Alexia, so now at least he could look out for her without looking too creepy. Still it might be suspicious to the others if they worked too closely, so he would try and keep his distance, a cop and a trickster having an alliance....it might be seen as dangerous. Perhaps the other students would think they were planning something less than wholesome. Trust was a delicate thing to build. Especially when people knew you were good enough at fooling people that you got into HPA because of it.
Then there was the fact that she was a cop. To be honest her talent was as concerning to him as the others would likely be towards his talent. He had seen plenty of bad cops in his day. From the most corrupt, to the violent, to those who simply seemed dedicated to ruining people's good times. A pig and a crow sharing the same bed was odd. He should try and find out more about who she was as a cop. Police officers did have a strong sense of identity as such. Learning what she thought about her talent was key to learning more about her.
"Pranks? Magic? I suppose it involves a little of both and more. Between online and real life social experiments, to elaborate pranks and hoaxes, to tricks that blur the line between what is real and true and what is false and illusion, I have done it all. Gotten into trouble with a lot of people that way, helped alot of people too. Sometimes people need to be pushed into facing something, whether that is the truth or themselves or what have you,and sometimes people need to be taken down a few notches. That's where I come in." Willow said.
"As for my father. He has never been in my life. Unlike many such parents, he has a good reason. That....is a long tale though, and a sad one at that. So if you don't mind I would like to talk about something else." He said offering a sad smile.
"Now, you are a police officer, that has to be a good story. How did you become an officer of the law? Why did you choose such a life?" Willow asked.

"Oh...?" She said sternly "So you are a criminal then? I guess I am going to have to arrest you." She gave the slightest chuckle. "Heh, don't worry, I kinda like people like you... People who do our job in a more than humours manner. Besides, there are no rules here correct?"
Alexia sighed at the remark she just made, the fact that there were no rules made no less sense as to why she was here. But, for some reason, Willow made her seem more oblivious to the fact then she initially was.
"Oh, excuse me," She said in response to her father. "I will try to refain to bring it up in the near future..." She explained with little emotion.
"And... My story?" She asked "Well... I..." She stared blankly for a moment. "My mother... My, real mother... She disappeared... Well, not disappeared, but, I think she was murdered." She felt sick in the stomach "I mean, she has been missing for 7 years... And that means you are officially confirmed... Dead..." She tried her best to refrain from crying. "Ugh, s-so, I wanted to get that person back... For what they did. I mean, I hardly knew her..."
"But my other parents helped me achieve that." She said "Even though I was eight years old. I didn't really have the desire until they told me what had happened. So, no matter how cheezy it sounds, I promised I would try to eliminate every criminal off the streets..."
She sighed and laughed just a bit.
"How's that for a story...?"

Not quite the reaction he was expecting. Though Willow didn't really know what to suspect.
"Don't worry, most of my tricks don't involve breaking the law. During times like this it's good to have people like you and me here. I don't mean to brag but we are sort of built for situations like this. Just think of this as an ongoing crime Officer Takana, and I am sure you will get out of this and get your man. Whoever he or she happens to be." Willow said thoughtfully.
"That's a truly tragic tale, but it also proves how very strong you are. Your determination is outstanding, as expected of the Ultimate Police Officer. Just remember those criminals you hunt are people too. Many with stories as tragic as yours. If not for the grace of the gods and the whims of fortune, you might well be on their side of the equation. Quests for vengeance and Crusades rarely ever only hurt those who deserve it. Compassion for your enemies is difficult but necessary, if you want to keep being the good guy. " Willow advised. He was careful to keep his face neutral during this. He didn't want her to see the complex mix of emotions he was feeling.
She seemed to be a good kid. But though she was a year older than him, she was showing her young age in her childish goal to put all the criminals away. Did she not realize what a foolish, selfish goal that was? So many criminals had to commit their crimes to survive, so many would never make it in the truly awful prison systems so many countries had in place, so many laws were the result more of politics than actual need. Of course she didn't realize it. She was a child with a child's sense of justice.
Just like her.
This sort of judgement, was not something he could approve of. Once again it only redoubled his desire to protect her, from herself if necessary. That was the vow she had made as a child and it could have been altered, however Willow doubted it. That combination of desire for vengeance and youthful certainty were strong deterrents to reason. He was no exception, if he was wiser than others of his age it was because he had already made foolish mistakes.

"Thank you..." She sighed.
Alexia, however saw a sort of look in willow, a look which either stated that he had seen her before. Or she could have reminded him about someone. But, alexia kept it to herself. Knowing that she might touch a nerve. Right now, Alexia did not want to get on his bad side.
She didn't know what had made Willow so easy to talk to. Was it his calm attitude? Was it the fact that he sort of fought with justice? Alexia was confused. But, it may of been that willow easily talked to Alexia himself.
Alexia could see another emotion in his eyes... But she couldn't make it out... Was it fear? That was to be expected. She did not think anyone was prepared for the events that has unfolded in front of everyone.
She did have another question for willow however, in regards to his last statement.
"Do you have a goal?" She asked "Like, something you strive for.?"

Something to strive for...There was a question. Long term goals added a sense of meaning to one's life. Without goals, people floated around mercurially, feeling that they had no place in this world.
Pigs live in tiny cramped pens or cages until the day they are butchered. Crows fly free until pest control or some angry middle aged lady with a well placed broom strike ends them. The life of a cop and a trickster are totally different. It would be hard to reconcile their viewpoints. Alexia had this dream for a long time, Willow....
Willow flitted from goal to goal, dream to dream. He was restless, always had been. Searching for something to hold onto in a world of chaotic uncertainty. He was satisfied with how his life had been up until now, well mostly. But something to strive for? Something to pin his hopes and dreams on? Well that was why he had come to Hope's Peak Academy in the first place.
"I guess in the end...I want my tricks to mean something. To make some sort of impact. Whether it is entertainment or wisdom, or just having people lighten up from time to time. Life is too short to stick your head in the sand and not budge. That's probably the most important thing I have learnerd and I wish to share it with others." Willow said.
"There are a thousand other things that one can accomplish. Objectives I want to accomplish. But if I knew I made some sort of difference in the end....it would be worth it." Willow said.
Of course having fun was a worthy end in and of itself, and one mustn't be too self sacrificing. Though, he didn't say those parts out loud.
"This has gotten more than a little gloomy. Which is understandable considering the circumstances but let's lighten the mood. Do you have any other hobbies besides your police work? Because that's more of an occupation then anything." Willow said, adopting his friendly casual voice.

So, Willow did not do his tricks for fun...? Alexia frowned as her logic seemed to have been flawed. She could have sworn... No, it's best not to think to much about it. She decided just to go with the direction the conversation as she thought it would be rude to keep the mood in a depressing state.
"Hobbies? Ah, I don't really have much time to dwindle in something as useless as that..." She said with no emotion. "... But, my dad, He was a boxer. He taught me how to throw punches and block. So, I suppose boxing is a hobby" she thought for a few seconds. "I also exercise, but I suppose that is more of a commitment then a hobby. But, I guess my favorite activity is training the police dogs..." She chuckled "outside the police station, I mean." She realised her mistake.
"Wait, hold on!! T-That's not illegal or anything" She became flustered "I-It's just a hobby, like you asked. D-Don't get any wrong ideas!!" Her voice became a bit raised as she pointed to Willow after that remark. She did however, calm down a few seconds later. "... Sorry, I just get a bit angry at myself somethimes..."
She tried to quickly make Willow forget about that event by drawing his attention away from her answer by asking the question herself.
"What about you? Any hobbies?"

Something she didn't want people to hear. Interesting. It was a slip up, and not a hugely major one, but still a slip up. Alexia was either unused to deception, trusted Willow already a fair bit or both. Any of those options were good for him. Knowing a potential weakness was also good, even if he had no desire to exploit it.
He had anticipated that Alexia would redirect his question back onto him. In fact depending on how she answered he might have answered back unprompted. However this conversation was beginning to bore him. If he couldn't get any more fun reactions from Alexia, he might as well head back to his room and seek the counsel of his thoughts. It was starting to get late anyway, and going over the events of this conversation would be useful, before he could forget any of her specific words or body language/mannerisms.
"Of course. I benefit from taking frequent breaks from running tricks, even tricks in progress, it is useful to step away and think of something else so that I can come to a problem fresh and potentially full of new ideas. I love reading for instance, I prefer fiction, though academic subjects such as psychology and sociology are useful and interesting for obvious reasons. I also enjoy learning about the occult, whether that be folklore, esoteric religion or anything of that sort. It is incredibly fascinating, whatever one thinks about it." Willow said.
"Is there anyone you deem particularly suspicious? Someone who might be likely to murder? You don't have to tell me of course. But it might be a good idea to share who we don't trust." Willow said.
