Purgatory's Chasm. It wasn't that large or impressive of a room, but what it did hold was the promise of challenge. Pointless challenge as the reward was a luxury it would be weak to long for and the penalty was something that should not be feared. Orica stood in the room thinking about the whole process. While she was never one to back down from a challenge, she had doubts about this truly being a challenge. After all, this was one of the bear's tricks. It couldn't be considered a true challenge.
On the other hand, others were no doubt taking the challenge, and to back down from it would seem weak. Even though the challenge itself was the epitome of weakness. This was the sort of ordeal Orica's ideal led to and the occasional work that must be done to work what the answer was. It didn't help that the gas was trying to effect her, which was hard because if it was intensifying her will to refuse to be manipulated by Monokuma then it was helping her fight against it while being the thing she fought against. This place was just full of annoying contradictions.

Good Meals, Good Friends, Good Laughs, Good Murders, What more could anyone want?
Nero had been walking around when he remembered about the Purgatory challenge. While the punishment for losing was severe, he couldn't deny that he wasn't tempted by the reward. After a moment, he decided to have a look inside the room to see if anyone was taking the challenge when he saw Orica. A few moments passed, and Nero decided that he would try to help her with the challenge.
"Hello Orica! Are you going to be taking the challenge?" Nero walked into the room, walking with his staff for support with a smile on his face. A few moments passed before Nero continued speaking, as he spent those moments trying to figure out how to word it.
"Will you be taking the challenge? If so, may I join you?" Nero was a few feet away from Orica at this point, with a gleeful smile. Nothing can go wrong. Nero the Idiot Baker

Into the room came Nero, one who seemed, how would one say it, hopeful in the possibility of strength but as time went on it had become apparent that he was just as weak as the others, perhaps even more so as he had to have a staff to help him move around.
"There is no reason to take up this challenge." She said, looking at him. "The prize is a tease of Hope the bear is using to try to tempt us with weakness, and the penalty for failure is something that should not be feared as a failure. I do not want to give that bear any power over me, to think that there is something he can do to move me as this gas he is making us breath makes him think that already. Nor do I wish to tether myself to any of you weaklings in taking up a challenge with others. That is still one of the greatest weaknesses that is thought to be a strength."
