The clowns were still unsettling, but they had to do what they had to do now. If they didn't, the clowns would be the last thing they'd have to worry about. Liam just hope they wouldn't do anything creepy while he wasn't looking.

A set of antique clown figurines had been among Irene's collection prior to their acceptance and subsequent imprisonment. She had been one away from completing the set, by her memory. She was indifferent on clowns, but the surroundings served to remind her of what had once been nearby and familiar. It was unlikely she would be seeing it again if the culprit went unpunished for their crimes. The presence of the smiling faces did not disturb her as she focused on locating evidence.

The strange bottles clearly had to be important to the case. They were suspicious, and suspicious things tended to go along with crimes. After taking a look at the bottles, he moved onto the wall, which also looked off to him.
