It took all she had not to drool at the sight of the goods she was fixated upon. After the scary toy bear had let the sixteen of them who hadn't been shot by a fellow classmate go, opening the north gate of the park for their exploration, Mariko had wandered by her lonesome for awhile, jumping at shadows out of fear of what may or may not ever come. In the back of her mind, she couldn't help but think that it was only a matter of time until one of the other sixteen decided they really didn't want to live in a theme park and decided murder was a viable option, naturally coming to pick off the weakest of the herd. Natrally, Mariko assumed this to be her, for the simple fact that she had shown how meek and timid she was without a camera to hide behind. God, how stupid could she be? Why not just hang a "please use this to strangle me" sign around her neck while she was at it. And her mind keep going around in loops like this all the while she inched herself around the park, until she happened to stumble by chance upon by far the best place this stupid park of horrors had to offer. Finding the cafe was like an angel getting its wings. As her stomach rumbled to remind the young girl that it was still running on empty and demanded substances, the director obediently scooped a small armful of sandwiches and various apples stuffed into the front pocket of her hoodie, Mariko smiled for the first time since she had awoken and took a seat at one of the lattice tables and, pickinga sandwich up at open didn't think twice about what she was about to do. "Thanks for the food." Scary mister bear, she added in her mind. She had to, at that point her mouth was full. There were times she wondered how she wasn't five hundred pounds. But as she happily tore into the first of the sandwiches she had gathered in her little pile, as she had done so many times before simply waved those thoughts away as "depressing." I suck at writing intros, I'm sorry. let me know if you need more to go on, and I can try and add more[/ul]

"I wonder if those sights were actually true.." she absentmindedly mumbled out, wearing an expression hued by sadness. She thought yet again of the Kravenski Flower, her love for it still burning strong.
On a stroll around Monoland, Adrianna decided to stop by the cafe to pick up a bottle of water. At least this place wasn't like those amusement parks that charged you outrageously for a sip of water - Monokuma seemed to enjoy giving out free food and drinks, in the least.
'It's probably so we don't starve to death,' was the thought that followed, tacked on towards the end. 'What a bore it would be for him if everyone simply wasted away.'
Still caught in her thoughts, she barely noticed the sight of one Mariko Nakazawa. Instead, her sights were set on the ground in front, her heart still downtrodden by what was shown on her Student ID. It's awful. It's devilish. If the motive were the guarantee of safety for the things shown in that horrible screen, that would have perhaps inspired her to sully her hands. It simply wasn't as compelling in its current state, which was arguably a shame. If only it was the other way around, a promise of safety..
@ Mariko Nakazawa sorry for taking so long

Well, this was embarrassing. While the flower maiden seemed to not have noticed the other girl yet, Mariko quickly stuffs sandwiches into the pouch of her purple hoodie as to try and not appear like the pig she was (and yet she was still left with a small pile of sandwiches before her. Sheesh, this girl was something else) the green haired girl props an elbow up on the table and looks on at the flower maiden, an odd curiosity brewing around in her normally timid little head. Truth was, she had wanted an opportunity to speak with Adrianna for awhile, ever since she had introduced herself at the fountain. Just something about her name rang familiar in Mariko's subconscious, and she just couldn't put her finger on it yet "Are you okay? I...I mean, if it's okay for me to ask."Oh, she so hoped it wasn't rude of her to trouble the older girl. If she was rude, then she would be hated. And that was the last thing she wanted in the world. [/ul]

The hooded girl's words snapped Adrianna back to reality, golden eyes darting up to meet a pair of green. "Ah! I'm, um.. how embarrassing," she muttered, uncomfortable with the realization that she was snuck up on by a girl who wasn't even trying. Eyeing the empty chair by the table Mariko was at, Adrianna let out a wistful sigh, smiled and made her way over.
"Bogged down by what was shown on my ID," she said, waving a hand as if chasing away invisible flies. Noticing the pile of sandwiches laid out in front, Adrianna tried her best not to be rude and stifled a laugh. Barely a moment has passed, and everything bad felt washed away. This girl did good at making people feel at ease, and that was something she greatly respected.
'It might have to do with now innocent she seems.'
Relaxing into her chair, Adrianna let out an idle comment, not realizing that this was what would lead to a spark of realization in Mariko's mind. "You seem to devour those sandwiches as well as the Kravenski flower killed its competition." @ Mariko Nakazawa [It's cool, don't worry. I took my own time writing this out too >.>]

"Ah hah ha ha..."Jeez, how embarrassing. Rubbing the back of her head with one hand while tossing a still wrapped dry turkey sandwich up into the air with the other, it took all Mariko had not to blush and drop dead from pure unadulterated shame right then and there. She really hadn't wanted to get caught stuffing her face like an animal so soon after everyone had just gotten to know each other, and here she was caught red handed and stuffed cheek. Not sure what to say in her own defense, Mariko finds sudden interest in the cafe wall slightly to the left of where Adrianna was now sitting, tapping her fingers together nervously as she spoke. "Fear makes me hungry."That wasn't weird, was it? She means, people have all sorts of reactions to trauma all the time, from locking themselves in their room like sane people to chasing thrills like a bunch of nutbags. In case this wasn't clear at this point, Mariko learned far more towards the "stay inside where it's safe when it comes to doing dangerous thing. God, how she wished she could just shove this away into the back corner of her mind like she did so many other things she didn't want to d- ...wait. Wait, wait wait wait. Something about that Adrianna had said seemed to strike a chord inside Mariko's head, and the teen director visibly showed it, cocking her head to the side as if she were an animal lost deep in thought, trying to place something alien to them Kravenski flower, why was that all so familiar to her brain, and suddenly it hit her like a ton of bricks. God, she was such an idiot it was unbelievable. "Kravenski flower. So you're that Kravenski?"Maybe that was a dumb question. She didn't know how many people there were that had the surname Kravenski, okay but shut up [/ul]

She smiled and raised an eyebrow at Mariko's remark regarding her family name. From the girl's exclamation, Adrianna was almost able to imagine the light bulb that flickered up inside. It was an endearing sight, adding yet another positive tally in the hooded girl's favor.
"I'm not exactly sure what you meant by 'that', but yes, I'm most likely the Kravenski you're thinking about."
Adrianna wondered what exactly it was that jolted the girl's memory - was it the previously mentioned flowers? Did she have an interest in them, or maybe one of the many products of hers lining the shelves?
"It's the same Kravenski as the one that has products of all sorts lining the shelves of prominent shops. Flower-scented candles, petal tea, things of that sort. Are you a fan, by any chance?" asked Adrianna, letting just a hint of childish excitement seep through. This Mariko girl truly was promising. @ Mariko Nakazawa
