is anything sacred?
It was a strange time to be alive among the twelve of you. Nero had come and gone, like so many before him and yet it was like nothing like before. Your group, once so mighty and no so tiny was only growing smaller as time goes by with no signs of hope on the horizon. Maybe most of you had given up on salvation by now, Maybe you never believed in it to begin with. Although some of you had grown closer with each horrific death Mayumi, Nox, and Irene were almost never seen apart for example there was no getting around the air of distrust that lingers around. Orica and Gorou made it clear that they have no desire to be friends with anyone, Caelie and Nana are usually seen together but make no attempt to join the others and the rest of the kids spend their days either keeping to themselves or being dragged along unwillingly. This past death seemed to have hit the group harder than the rest, and though you may have wanted to have more time to grieve, that was a luxury you figured the group wouldn't be allowed.
"Puhuhuhu, you all look so serious. You should be celebrating, relax and have some cake. That’s gonna be in short supply from now on, after all.”
The words of the bear were met with blank, dull stares for the most part, his teasing voice while infuriating by now had become the norm that most of the group had given up on making a snappy retort to fight against him, which oddly enough seems to deflate him more than anything else so far, to the point where the hologram turns his back to the group and hangs his head.
“Man, You kids really know how to bring down a celebration. Perhaps this is my fault, you’ve been stuck in this location for so long you’ve become as dull and uninteresting as Ai. At this rate they’re going to cancel us before season 6 and the tv movie.”
Season? TV movie? The group of you give each other confused glances but by now you’ve learned not to question the weird things Kuma has said because all it does is give everyone migraines and you get no answers, and Monokuma just continues on anyway.
“Well, in that case ll we need is a chance of pace to reingnite that spark! We’ve milked this cashcow of a location enough I suppose, so my terrifying twelve, meet me in Purgatory’s Chasm.”
Well, you didn’t have a choice. Shuffling your feet to try and delay it as long as possible, the group finally arrives at Purgatory to a familiar sight of the gaping maw of the elevator that has moved you along locations as well as Monokuma, tapping his foot impatiently.
“C’mon, c’mon! We can’t keep the audience waiting, I’m a busy bear with an audience to please.”
And so, like so many times before you you all unwillingly stepped onto the elevator, taking you God only knew where, and like so many times before it shook violently before taking the slow descent to so an undisclosed location. Was this new location going to be worse? Could it be?
