nobody ever made you dig deeper Root had set to exploring this place they were going to have to live until they figured out a way. One way out was to kill someone. However, that was the least satisfactory way of leaving. For now, Root didn’t want to leave, even if everyone around him seemed to be idiots. He wanted to understand why they were here. He wanted to know why they elected to come here in the first place. Then again, how did they know the bear wasn’t lying to them? It was a dangerous situation. There were many people with a killer’s glow in their eyes, and Root knew he wasn’t the easiest person to live with, but he wouldn’t give himself up just to ‘be nice’ to morons. Yet, he didn’t want to die. He didn’t want to get killed because he had a purpose still in life. He needed to understand everything, he needed to complete his goal and he wasn’t allowed to die until he figured out the universe. Then he could die, he could die and no longer be in anyone’s hair. Really, if people just left him alone, they wouldn’t have to deal with him, and he could get on with his work.
Upon reaching a curious grey building, Root stopped and looked. There were two alleyways connecting to an electric fence. Ever so curious, Root made his way into the building, to find an interesting room on the other side. There were no windows, but there were posters and posters of the black and white bear. However, immediately Root’s eyes went to the question on the wall, with a paper with spots to fill it in. A pen hung ready to be used. Curiously, Root approached and leaned over to examine it.
Where are you?
Root snorted to himself. The moon, obviously, he thought as he looked at the paper. He contemplated what he should do. Should he experiment a little and see what happened if he wrote on the paper? It could very well be nothing. But it could very well be everything. What if their answer placed them on a ride based on their answer? After all, it was like a theme park here. Root loved his life, and he knew that the people here would be lost without him, they needed him. Not to mention he had a lot of work he still had to do. He didn’t want the answer to kill him because of his wit. He rubbed his chin as he stared at the sheet trying to decide, somewhere in the back of his mind working on the problem with solving the Theory of Everything.

She didn't wake up today with the intention of becoming a stalker. It wasn't her plan to be tailing another person from their merry little group, but that's what ended up happening. The man in the labcoat had caught her eye a long way back, and she just so happened to catch sight of him today first.
The labcoat made his way to a dull looking building, and Adrianna watched as he entered the room. Just what is it that he's doing here? Did he walk through those doors with a predetermined intention?
Entering the building for herself, what first caught her eye were those posters on the walls. Leaning with her back against the wall close to the door, an obvious look of dissatisfaction was plastered across her face. "That bear really does have bad taste. Both a narcissist and a sadist, apparently."
Hoping that her sudden appearance wouldn't startle the labcoat too badly, she gave him a small smile. "It's obvious now that I've been following you, and I don't intend to spin a different tale." Lowering her head ever so slightly, she looked up to meet his questioning gaze. "I noticed that you saw what appeared on my ID. A girl's secrets are dear to her, so could you promise not to spread it around?"

nobody ever made you dig deeper Root seemed to have the issue of being lost in his own mind, too busy with himself to notice his surroundings. So, when he heard a voice, Root was surprised, and looked up with a raised eyebrow. Of course, normally one would jump, but over the years Root managed to reign in his response to keep up the persona of superiority. After all, someone who is smarter and better than everyone else had to be alert. He had to pretend that he wasn’t surprised at all or he would appear just like everyone else. Ha. He couldn’t have that.
Root crossed his arms and gazed up at the Flower Maiden who had spoken. He grinned like a mad person and shrugged. “Oh I don’t know, do you not like black and white?” He was, of course, joking. He quite agreed that the surroundings were indicators of narcissism. Even he wouldn’t want a room full of his own face. It was all too much. However, Root hadn’t given much thought to the walls other than the paper that hung ready to be written on. As it happened, Root was obsessive and just as he didn’t notice someone tailing him, he didn’t really notice anything but which interested him, and everything else was extra information he needn’t take in.
Still, it was true that he had seen Adrianna’s screen. It wasn’t like he tried to see it, it just happened that when he looked away from his screen he caught sight of her screen in the process of trying to rid himself of the image that he had seen. It was… interesting, another piece to the puzzle of the maiden. He continued to grin as he regarded her secret. “Of course. I understand the need to keep secrets. As long as you promise not to kill me if I step on a flower.” He chuckled to himself finding himself hilarious.

"I don't believe you're so careless as to trample over an innocent flower, but I might just be able to look the other way if you do," she replied, happy to have settled that issue relatively easily.
Had she expected more resistance? Not particularly, not from Alexander. He didn't seem the type to go out of his way to make life more difficult, and for that she was grateful.
Taking a few steps to inspect closer the room they were in, she posed a question, asking him about his thoughts on this room they were in. "The paper on the wall seems awfully inviting, though I do notice that it's still as white as snow." Gently pulling her fingers down across the blank sheet, her smile all but disappeared. If papers had a soul, she was sure that this one would be as barren as an ice-aged world. Perhaps it would have yelled and trashed around at first, but after exhausting its only option with no help in sight, it resigned itself for a desperate and solemn existence.
"Where are we.. what a vague question. It feels unsettling too, though that might have something to do with the room itself." @ Alexander Root

nobody ever made you dig deeper Root laughed light-heartedly at her reply. Well, at least he needn’t worry about that. Though, he was pretty sure that if anyone were to get killed, it would be him. After all, why kill someone else when he was an easy target just waiting and he was jerk? It wasn’t like he made himself a target on purpose, but he rather be a sarcastic jerk than worry about these idiots liking him and not trying to kill him. Yet, Root was also a man who was raised with some values he retained. Such as the respect of others secrets. If he were to keep hers, if she found out his weaknesses, then she wouldn’t spread it either.
The image he had seen on her screen did make him even more curious of her, especially with the way she had been acting causing him to be fairly puzzled with her. As a scientist, he had kept up with most of the newest innovations in all areas of science, though he didn’t remember anything about her flowers… then again, he probably read something, but had forgotten about it. After all he didn’t remember much of other people’s works. Never was important to him.
When she brought up the paper, Alexander smiled, the wonder if she would bring up satisfied. “I thought it was obvious. We’re in New York, aren’t we? It’s just about as clean as New York.”

She showed a frown at the response he gave, still twirling the pen around in her fingers. It was tempting, the idea of giving an answer on that blank sheet. Try as she might though, nothing satisfactory came to mind. Other than the answer 'Monoworld', though that was probably neither the right answer (if there even was one) nor satisfactory in any shape or form. In the end, Adrianna let out a sigh - this damnable room must be already getting to her.
Releasing her grasp on the pen, she watched it fall a distance before being stopped by the chain. It looked reminiscent to a hanging man, and she could almost imagine the hoards of spectators cheering for the victim's death. It was awfully barbaric, though she must admit for there to be a certain.. satisfactory innate value. What it is exactly she does not know, but there's just something artful about a hanging corpse.
"I wasn't exactly in my best state of mind back then, so would you mind telling me about anything important I might have missed?" she asked Root, her tone dull and serious. Her eyes drifted to his notepad before falling to the ground, a sudden wave of fatigue washing over both her mind and soul.
"You seem to be the best person to ask about this, and I'm not saying that just because I want your favor." @ Alexander Root

nobody ever made you dig deeper Root frowned in an instant when she asked if she missed anything important back there. Hell if he knew. What would she know? And more importantly, what did he remember from that time? It was true, she was acting oddly back there, but of course, out of everyone here, she had to ask him if she missed anything. He knew that he had missed the name of the bear, but he had managed to get the name from logic and, well, sheer dumb luck with guessing what the bear’s name was. Yet, it was still alright, despite everything, because he had his trusty notebook with him. Now, to look nonchalant about reading information that she may have missed.
Flipping his notebook open and writing a note about the paper, his eyes glanced over the previous pages. Thanks to his fast acting mind, he was able to catch the general gist of his notes and smiled, relieved that he hopefully pulled the wool over her eyes that he remembered everything from that time too. It wasn’t unexpected, Root found, because he knew that the video had affected him more than he let appear on his face. It was still bothering him, but with time he’d learned to let it go… at least for now.
“Ah, well, I suppose you sense my superior intelligence to ask such a question of me,” Root joked, smiling widely and chuckling a bit as he closed his journal, focusing his mind on the information he had garnered from his quick flip through his notes masked as making a note itself. “There wasn’t much, really. We have to kill each other in order to get out. The bear is the leader. If we murder and get away with it, well, we also get power, any country, an unmeasurable amount of money, anything you want. And well, knowledge of what really happened on those screens. If they were illusions or not. Was there… anything else you think you missed?”
