[/i]) and she put it off for as long as she could, but as her stomach's growls grew louder and louder, the green haired gal waved the proverbial white flag and made her way back to the cafe, being careful to make sure the coast is clear before she enters to raid the fridge once again, taking several apples in each hand and slipping a couple more into the pouch of her hoodie. "Well...least the food's good in this hellhole."Coming from Mariko though, this didn't exactly mean much. Girl would probably eat packaging peanuts if served them up right -- (This is by far the worst post I'll write for this thread. I'm just tired and honestly can't think of a good starting post right now. it'll get better when I have something to go off) [/ul]

It was a bit past food time, but I was still a little hungry. I decided to get an apple from the cafe to fill that bit of hunger. As I was heading there, I saw Little Miss Director looking rather shifty heading to the cafe as well. I decided to remain silent and followed her to see what she was up to.
I saw her stuffing apples into her hoodie! I had to use all my willpower to not laugh out loud! I was able to hold it in by making the biggest smile I could make. So big, it actually hurt a little bit.
She was too busy stuffing the apples to notice I was right behind her.
"Hey there Ms. Flick! What do you have there?"

"Hey there Ms. Flick! What do you have there?"
"Nnngh?"
Of course, someone had to try and talk to her now. Turning her head to see who it was, the director was able to reconize the guy who had called himself the comedian, super high school level comedian smiling like the fan who has eaten a very plump canary. Normally, the green haired woman might have been a bit more on edge, but if there was any one thing that could get the young woman to drop her guard that wasn't a camera to film behind, it was food. Choking down a large bite of one of the apples she was stockpiling, Mariko paused only long enough to wipe awa any residue with a purple sleeve before speaking
"Nothin special. buncha apples."
And no, she wasn't sharing. These her her apples. There were still plenty in the fridge if he was hungry, it wasn't like she was bogarting them all

She was the SHSL film director so she probably had a lot of insight into why they are filming this show they way they are. I have never seen a show do filming like this before so it was a little weird.
"So why do you think they are filming us like this? It's a little weird for there not to be any crew members right?"
Asking something that might be of interest to her might make it easier to become friends. To win this game you will definitely need friends.

(Sorry this took so long to get to. Sister and her brood just got in town to visit from out of state)
"So why do you think they are filming us like this? It's a little weird for there not to be any crew members right?"
Mariko took a moment to wipe bits of apple away from the corner of her mouth, green eyes furrowed in confusion. The way he phrased the question seemed odd to her little mind, did the person who was running the show even have a need a crew? After all, he or she had installed all these cameras and trapped the seventeen of them here as far as they knew without any help. Finally shrugging a shoulder, the director brushed green hair away from her eys and polished a seventh apple on her shirt before giving her view on things
"Unusual, but not unheard of. Think about all those hidden camera tv shows, or found footage films. Crews would give away the air of believably"
A cheap model but when done effectively can hold a certain sense of heart and merit to the audience. Not really her style, but hey to each their own.
Besides, I imagine having a crew in here would be counter productive to whoever put us in here, right? It'd be to easy for someone to get their hands on them and try and Custer their way out. Assuming the crew isn't expendable red shirts."

Her answer made sense. Having a crew around us the whole time might dispel the illusion of us being trapped here. It probably adds to the ambient of the show itself. This way they can use all footage and make editing easier.
"So how come you don't have a camera or something like that? I would have imagined you would have one with you. If Daniel Boone over there was able to keep his rifle, I thought you would have a camera considering your talent."
I was genuinely curious about this. Why wouldn't she have one? The producers could use her footage at the end to make a special or something. It was a little weird.

"I thought you would have a camera considering your talent"
God, punch her right in the gut, why don't you.Although Mariko could understand it may be a fair question, if Koji was allowed to have a gun into the park to shoot someone, why wouldn't the director have a camera on her? To be honest it was a question that she had asked herself as well, had groused over and had considered stealing one of the surveillance cameras just to hold, had she not suspected that would get her killed on sight. Shrugging one shoulder half heartedly, Mariko seems a bit dejected at the injustice of it all.
"Only thing I figure is that whoever put all this bullshit together figured it was easier to get someone shot with a gun than it was to kill with a camera. I dunno, it's just really stupid."
Mariko didn't even realize she swore, a she ranted and raved in her head about how it wasn't fair she didn't get to have her things, but Koji could keep a weapon and had already shot someone like a genius. Ah, now she was going to grouse again. This is what she needed

I smiled.
Seeing Ms. Flick swear was kind of amusing. She didn't strike me as the swearing type. Was she always like this or did she just have a moment? Messing with her might be fun but I probably shouldn't do that. I should be nice to people to gain allies. I don't want to get voted off after all.
"That does kind of suck. So are you taking it out on the food? Are you really that hungry or are you having a breakdown of sorts?"
Thinking about it, I felt a little bad for her. I would hate to imagine what things would be like if I couldn't write comedy. For us people who possess a SHSL talent, our talents must be a huge part of our life. Maybe she will get a camera when she wins an event?
